I have a photo of the car number plate for when it's needed. It is less cold in Cork today thanks to Cillian. I think we should have little statues of him. My child of Prague lives near the front door but i believe there is a yellow rainfall warning plus high tides.

In other Cork news I see a man got 9 years for breaking into a house and raping a sleeping woman. He had earlier in the night entered her flat mate's room but she was able to get him out, he had also broken into 4 other homes the same night.
Only 9 flippin years.
He'll be out in 4 and a half.
The raped woman has a lifetime of distress.
I am sick of light sentencing when women are attacked.

I agree. Domestic violence seems to be seen a a lesser evil. Drink excuses a lot. And I wonder what percentage of offenders have a cocaine habit. I get cross.

There are some really vile court cases at the minute.
I was doing my hoovering but dh is in an online meeting. So I'm reading a lot of threads on Kate and William etc. Will anyone present shamrocks to the Irish wolfhound and the Guards?

One of the awful court cases you probably heard @eggandonion involves a ( now ex ) garda who abused his wife and 2 stepsons over a 12 year period.
They suffered appalling abuse.
Martin Nolan was the presiding judge.
He gave Mark Doyle a 6 year sentence.
It was to be 10 years but apparently there were mitigating factors.

He'll probably be out in 3 years.
So that would make it one year in jail for him for every four years the family suffered.

It's astonishing to me that Judge Nolan is still a sitting judge. He loves his suspended sentences and seems to be particularly lenient when it comes to cases of violence/abuse against women and children. The sooner he retires the better IMO.

I must admit to being a little bit invested in the whole "Kate" drama, even though I generally have zero interest in the Royals. The whole thing is bizzare! Some of the theories are so far fetched, it's beyond ridiculous at this stage. I bet she'll appear on Easter Sunday looking bloody fabulous as always - I've never looked forward to Easter so much 😂

Im caught between Kate being mia and Lauren vanishing on Corrie. Not to mention Lady Rose as a side line.

Martin Nolan was a guard himself. So you would think he knows the hard work that goes into catching and prosecuting rapists and family abusers, that's why I don't understand his leniency. 🥲
