A belated Happy Birthday @NursieBernard.

Spends yesterday:
£2 work canteen

ememem84 · 12/01/2019 15:48

nirsie happy birthday!!!

Took ds to the garden centre so we could have a look for some wellies for him. None in his size. Sad face. We did buy a couple of Mousies for catface. Ds carried them carefully from the car, up the stairs to our room where she was napping then threw them rather violently at her. £5 at garden centre.

Home now so need to crack on with tidying up. Dh is making food for the freezer and for dinner. Chicken bacon and leek pie. Mmmmmm

Unescorted · 12/01/2019 15:48

love walk away from it for half an hour and then go back to it. I find going for a walk or run really good for thinking.

Nursie happy belated birthday!.

I have been to the post office. I am glad DH kept his boxes.... They are proving useful for getting rid of things.

I need inspiration for dinner..

I'm making a veg curry (vegan as it happens). I'm sure no one will eat it apart from me but as long as I like it that's all that matters Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/01/2019 16:16

DC want take out for tea. I'm going to use up some sweet potatoes and make a risotto.
£40.02 to fill up the car.

Unescorted · 12/01/2019 16:32

I quite fancy a rolled baked pasta but I know the wretches will look at it as if it is poison. Or I could do roast chicken with chips and make mine into a salad.

On my last question to write! Nearly there but time for dinner...

Cagliostro · 12/01/2019 17:54

Rolled baked pasta?
Thank you for swimming advice 💐

Justanothermile · 12/01/2019 18:04

Keep going love, nearly there!

Happy Birthday Nursie and nice to see you post again.

Are you veggie or vegan moi? We are here, apart from eating eggs from my own home kept chickens. Love the meal plan and good to compare veggie menu ideas!

Good bargain em, you won't mind so much when you go upstairs when DS is about 6 and find it covered in stickers😂

Enjoy the week off North, did you mattress purchase?

Well done on the run green, you should be proud! I think the conflict has been building for some time being honest. I genuinely believe that most posters here are good, decent and tolerant folk who try hard to be inclusive of everyone who posts. But said conflict was in one area and it needed something saying; it wasn't just one person saying it in the end. I don't want this to happen again. #happythread. #movingonhopefully.

Enjoy the date!

Hope you get a better nights sleep wolf

Glamping Happier - cool! Something to look forward to as well.

NSD but took DS back to university and that will mean more fuel next week.

Jackfruit wraps for tea.

Meatballs defrosting for tomorrow's wok adventure Grin

Sorry...dashed off there.

Roll out pasta paste/ dough (1 egg per 100g of flour) to as thin as it gets before you get bored. Spread yummy filling of choice (roast Vege, spinich &ricotta, roast pumpkin and mascapone et al). Roll it up. Wrap in muslin, so it looks like a sausage and simmer for 10 minutes or so. Take it out and slice into 2cm slices. Lay out on a deep tray (lasagne dish works well) ..squash them in like you would breakfast rolls. Tip over an appropriate sauce ( tomato, bechamel) add cheese topping or breadcrumbs and parmesan. Slap in the oven and cook for an hour or so on slowish........ comfort on a plate. Serve with salad and nice bread to take up the sauce. Infinite variety so can be made with the random fridge contents at the end of the month.

Happy Birthday @Nurse.

Finished work and got a lift home so that saved a long walk home, already got my steps in. £2.40 on dinner for me DP was eating the leftover gnocchi with DD tonight.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2019 19:15

Dh forgot to tell me that there's no dishwasher tablets so he had to go and get some but Tesco didn't have any and aren't getting any until the 20th apparently Confused instead of going across the road to M&S he just came home. Baring in mind the Tesco is 20 minutes away I'm a bit annoyed. Have had to try my luck with one drop of washing up liquid and bi-carb as suggested on the internet. Wish me luck!

SnugglySnerd · 12/01/2019 20:25

Violently throwing toddlers here today too except ours were throwing bird seed at geese. The geese didn't seem to mind anyway. Also went for a long toddle/scoot/walk which was lovely.

ememem84 · 12/01/2019 20:27

Good lord that sounds good unescorted I think I’ve seen someone do that on tv.

Unescorted · 12/01/2019 20:44

em you are welcome to come to tea. I can throw out the ingrates. Dh has come home and not even said hello.....let alone thanks for the lovely dinner. He is soooooooooo tired from working. Why is it that when He wasn't working I still did all the cooking, shopping and cleaning? I am raging. I suspect his woe is act is because he wants to feel hard done by so he can lust after the village idiot.

I cannot be arsed.

Sorry for the rant.
