Watching the Russia game now. C’mon Russia!!! Mama needs the £250 from my bet when they win the final....

Lovely afternoon at dparents. Ds played in the paddling pool for ages. We sat in the sun (under the umbrella). He had his dinner outside after his “swim”. Completely nakey and has to have another dunk in the pool as he got mango and watermelon everywhere.

Things I never thought I’d hear myself say “stop playing with your willy while having dinner” and “well now you’ve got mango willy”

quiteclean my interview on Monday is going to have a big emphasis on safeguarding children. Any tips or knowledge you can share?

Thanks cag and sunny this weather is not good for unwell people or those that struggle with the heat

I worked this am. Then left DP with the DC while the football was on and I went clothes shopping by myself. I tried on various maxi dresses to wear when my legs need doing but they were either too long or made me look like a dumpy short person. I may have to look at petite sections online.

£12.99 sun hat for Wimbledon next weekend
£26 DPerkins but had £25 voucher
£55 monsoon on a dress

Hope meadow is doing ok----

I hope your ex pays what he owes for his children lonely. Really sucks for you his games he plays with their money Thanks

Wolfcub · 07/07/2018 20:52

Love my old job involved safeguarding children. I suspect in a different cs dept to the one you might be applying to but feel free to pm

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/07/2018 22:12

Thanks for the sympathy on the concert. I was really looking forward to that. I watched A Room With A View instead, which was good.

£3.45 or thereabouts. Money well spent.

Take care there Cag. Definitely a bit hot at the moment.

CremeEggThief · 07/07/2018 23:03

I love that film, Sunny.Smile

ChristmasSeacow · 08/07/2018 01:35

I have just finished making 24 chocolate cupcakes with buttercream, 24 iced fairy cakes piped with a thick red cross (Engurland flag Wink), a tray of vegan chocolate brownies and Two trays of flapjack. I am very tired. I hope people actually want to eat cake at the school fete tomorrow Hmm

Haven’t caught up, will read tomorrow!

Cagliostro · 08/07/2018 08:56

I’m sure people will still want cake. I would anyway :o

Oh yum sea!

I'm sitting outside with my coffee. It's ridiculously hot already. Dh has to put up the new trampoline today. Lucky him Grin

Ds still has a temperature but currently it's not above 39 like it has been.

LonelyOversharer · 08/07/2018 09:25

It is cloudy here! Have taken advantage and thoroughly watered the garden. Now working until the grand prix.

WreckTangled · 08/07/2018 09:26

I think we're due cloud later today. It's already 24 degrees though. I'm so happy we're getting an actual summer. I feel for the people in the town near us though as they've had no water due to a power failure, the reservoir running low and various bursts.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/07/2018 09:27

Good lonely but shit that's he's playing you again.

Spends yesterday
Approx €13 on picnic lunch
€60 getting my hair done
€21.50 on takeaway

Today
€250 on vet, our Siberian husky had an emergency hysterectomy yesterday and was kept overnight at the vets, she's not out of the woods yet but is through the op ok

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/07/2018 09:27

Hosepipe ban in force here, my car badly needs washing it'll wait

mammynowanauntyIRL · 08/07/2018 09:28

Had a great nights sleep, went to bed at 9.30 woke once for toilet, and then vet rang at 8.15, I might still be sleeping otherwise

ememem84 · 08/07/2018 09:37

Russia are out. Bye bye money! Haha.

We’ve been awake since 7. Ds has had breakfast had a good play and is now napping.

We’re off to the beach this afternoon. Yay.

He’s got a bit of a nappy rash so I’m going to dunk him in the sea in the hopes the salty water helps it a bit.

CurlsandCurves · 08/07/2018 10:21

@cag @sunny hope you’re both feeling brighter this morning.

Nothing much planned here today as it’s sooooo hot. Just need to get some bread and probably a French stick for dinner as I do not want to cook tonight!

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/07/2018 10:26

Same here Curls too hot to want to do much.
I could head for the beach but cant be arsed plus Im still finding bloody sand from last weekend and it gets everywhere.
Is this a sensory thing?-I cant bear the noise or feel of sand.Just a couple of crunchy grains makes my whole body sort of feel sickConfused the same if I ever get anything sticky/saucy on my fingers .
I haveto wash them- have to .
DH thinks Im wierd about stuff like this but Im also the same about noise .
Tapping in particular or people jiggling -aaaargh !
Plan to have a quick tidy and then try and tackle my deadborder

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 10:46

Bandit that kind of sensory stuff is why I'm having this ASD test. I don't get on with certain kinds of noise, and smells and tastes. The person who did the assessment said this kind of things is totally normal in ASD people, and that if I get a diagnosis, then I have a better chance of getting the problem treated. She says there are people in my town who specialist in sorting this stuff out.

I think sensory stuff can also occur independently of ASD and then it is called SPD (sensory processing disorder).

I hope you don't mind my explaining that. I'm not sure how much you have thought about ASD stuff before.

SunnyLikeThursday · 08/07/2018 10:48

Curls thanks yes, I'm still working the sipping of water, but Ds is definitely getting better. It's a bit of a long slog this bug. I'm still trying to figure out the clarinet. It's a great way of passing the time without spending money.

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/07/2018 11:09

Thanks Sunny dont mind at allFlowers
I have thought about it but dont think I have ASD ,DH has thought about it as well.

We are polar opposites.
He has constant noise and stimulationif Im not there tvs radios and things blaring on his phone ,every light would be on Hmm All at the same time!
Yesterday in the garden -radio blaring out-it could be heard streets away.
I said quietly that the neighbours would probably prefer it to be off.
He has NO thought for others -would get up at 5am and put tv and radio on full blast Angry
Luckily he has stopped doing this but his whole family are like it .I dont think either of us has ASD but I think his brother does(DC x2 diagnosed,he is not)
I cope pretty well on the whole so I cant see what a diagnosis would do to help .
I manage because DH has changed his behaviour -for reference our small DC x3 were not as noisy as him.
But there are times I feel guilty but not having the tvs/radios on doesnt bother him so why have them on
But the alternative would be divorce so

I can see if it stops you carrying on a normal life then you are wise to seek help.

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/07/2018 11:12

Interestingly smells and tastes dont bother me at all .
Obvs stuff that stinks isnt nice but I eat most things.
Not a fan of meat, burgers BBQ
Guess what DH loves? Grin

QuiteCleanBandit · 08/07/2018 11:14

I guess what Im trying to work out is am I twitchy about noise because of SPD or because DH is so noisy or would be if I didnt intervene.
