It's been a nsd for me today, but I really need to organise a sort of joint account so dp can buy food, as I hold all the housekeeping money!

I've had another good day at work. I have been shown how to retrieve orders off the 'old' laptop. We are talking a very very early model laptop, haven't seen one like it since I was at college! Anyway, I am the 4th person who has this knowledge bestowed (and 2 of them own the business). I know I'm only 2 weeks in to my trial period, but I'm feeling very positive about it.

We will do a meal plan and list tonight, and shop for about a fortnight after school tomorrow. Means tea out, but it will only be a subway probably, so nowt flash.

Baked spuds and tuna mayo tonight, cheap and cheerful, with lettuce and a cucumber from the garden.

Here's my beans and peas bed unescorted I can easily pick 200g off it every day or so. There are also three purple mange tout plants in the old bath, picking 6 or so pods every few days. It's just magic.

Thanks Fluffy
Downloaded Shopmium and got free chocolate -didnt where you get it as Cadburys so popped down the road.
If I have time will pop to Sainsburys for Veggie burgers .
Quick question-the choc was 1.89 not 1.50 will they decline or just refund 1.50?
Not my fault its more expensive??

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/07/2018 19:16

Everything I grow dies. I tried tomatoes but they went black.

£5 petrol
£1 tomatoes.

Blinds going back to John Lewis, colour looks totally different from the iPad.

The new topcashback snap and save offers are rubbish. It's all rainbow stuff, I think they put a 4 year old in charge.

Thankyou to the people who used my shoppix referral code.

QuiteCleanBandit · 05/07/2018 19:17

That sounds like blight Fluffy
Water on a strict schedule and use Tomorite

SnugglySnerd · 05/07/2018 21:01

Your garden looks lovely Lonely.

NSD. This term's starting to drag now. I'm counting down the lessons until we break up never mind the days! Not sure the holidays are going to be all that relaxing though...

Loveabaconsandwich · 05/07/2018 21:35

Busy few days but not too spendy.

You will truly deserve your summer holiday by the time it arrives snuggly

Welcome flappy

Wolfcub · 05/07/2018 21:42

Lovely garden Lonely

I have done a couple of extra hours at work this evening whilst ds was at his activity - I’ve already done my hours but there is a senior individual getting in my face about some things that need doing and they seem to fail to understand that it’s their own team that isn’t doing the doing so I’ve done it for them for the sake of a peaceful life Hmm

Have watered the garden. I really need to do it every day as it’s looking really unhappy but I find carrying the can very hard and I think daily might do me it.

Need to post baby present tomorrow, have breakfast with friend, have nails done, pack for ds camp, take heavy donation items to school, pick up knew knickers from M&S and paint from b&q. Very exciting

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 05/07/2018 21:47

Pilates was hard going tonight, going to ache later!!

wolf watering is a pain, could you get a water butt? It does make life a bit easier. I'd love an outside tap but dread to think how much my water bill would be!!

Wolfcub · 05/07/2018 21:51

Girlie I have been thinking about a slimline Waterbutt now I’ve cleared all but one bag of the crap h left in the garden that couldn’t be taken to the tip Hmm it would certainly make life easier but the path isn’t level so would have r to think about how to manage that

Cagliostro · 05/07/2018 21:57

We actually do have an outside tap at the new house, no idea if it works. They always seemed terribly exotic to me as even my childhood home never had one, I’ve never owned a hosepipe!

Thanks so much wreck I may sooner rather than later as perhaps if by email I could get the ball rolling now. I tend to find that easier than phone simply because I then have a written record of everything (my auditory processing is absolutely shit, so I miss things and misunderstand stuff)

Today’s spends:

£2.50 chips
£7.50 taxi home
£3.60 Diet Coke and a brownie.

Free sandwiches for lunch and a lot of free champagne and canapés at the drinks networking thing I was at until 9. Oopsy.

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/07/2018 03:21

snuggly I'm thinking the same. I have no idea how to manage the summer holidays though. It's a constant battle to keep ds from just spending the whole day on the computer, since he has no sibling to play with.

Our house is slightly under a cloud just now as we wait for ds to get better and wonder who's next. cag are you all getting on better? It seems as though your family have similar going on.

We've been trying to catch up on spreadsheets too. Dh started this new job in November and my budgeting kind of went out of the window. I'm catching up again though.

Wolfcub · 06/07/2018 08:31

Morning all

Anyone with an MBNA credit card just be aware that if you completely clear the balance of your card after a statement has been issued the full value of the direct debit owed on your statement will be taken from your direct debit account....and it takes them a week to pay it back.

I have cleaned the bathroom and got stroppy ds off to school. Having a cuppa before I get into anything else

CurlsandCurves · 06/07/2018 09:01

Lovely garden pic @Lonely. I love peas, eat them like sweets when they’re in season.

@Wolf, that’s a pain re the credit card bill. They’re quick enough to take the money aren’t they? I cleaned upstairs including the main bathroom and our ensure yesterday afternoon, was melting by the time I’d done! Good friend of mine is a cleaner and she is really struggling to work in this heat.

Did 2 classes yesterday, circuits and Zumba. And this morning I’m off to Clubbercize. Need to do a top up shop later, run out of the usual bread milk eggs —wine—

CurlsandCurves · 06/07/2018 09:02

My strikethroughs never work!

SnugglySnerd · 06/07/2018 09:12

We have a water butt. Normally it's brilliant but it's currently empty and it doesn't look like refilling any time soon!

ememem84 · 06/07/2018 09:37

I am le hungover. 😭

Have had toast a pecan danish orange juice a cup of tea and have a full fat coke in the Work fridge for later together with a salad. I have drunk half a litre of water already.

Hydration is key today.

Flappyjack · 06/07/2018 10:32

Thanks for the welcomes.

cag I don't mind what you call me...although maybe not flaps 😂

£12 dry haircut. I had about two inches off today and I feel so much cooler and lighter.
£12 new handbag for new job. It was reduced in Debenhams down from £49 and will be big enough to fit in coffee cup and packed lunch
£11 new handbag for my sister for Christmas. Also Debenhams, down from £39

Might hit the pool again later. So more ice cream money. My 'baby' starts full time school in Sept so trying to make the most of our afternoons together.

WreckTangled · 06/07/2018 11:07

£10.50 eyebrow wax
£65 Aldi.

WreckTangled · 06/07/2018 12:03

I'm trying sunny's trick of leaving the whites to soak in the machine. Will them hang them out in the sun and fingers crossed they'll last another two weeks without me being embarrassed by the state of them!

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/07/2018 12:10

Oooo! I'm excited now. I really like how they magically come out white. I hope it works for you too wreck.

WreckTangled · 06/07/2018 12:36

Thanks, me too! How long do you leave it to soak for?

ememem84 · 06/07/2018 12:57

Feel unique had a sale. So I spent £50 on aftershave for dh (for his birthday in August). Got a free gift (cute backpack with a ton of free samples!) and spent £40 on mascara and primer for me from ysl. I didn’t technically need this. But. It’s purple. And I’m hungover to fuck.

Have eaten a healthy tuna chickpea salad. Salt and vinegar crisps. And a full fat coke.

So far I’m up to about 2 litres of water. I need a nap.

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/07/2018 13:30

wreck my machine has a button that soaks for two hours, and that button also causes a pre-wash to happen. It seems to do the job.

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/07/2018 13:59

The electricity measuring bit of my loop energy monitor has packed up, but I emailed them and they are sending me a free replacement. That's good isn't it?

The loop monitor tells me when my tariff ends and which I should switch to, so I'm really glad they are sending a new one.
