fluffy sort of I guess. You know laska's retirement dream purchase?- we repair them. When we're in the office/workshop most other sentences are f-this or he's such a c**t. But I love it when some of the guys come out of the workshop and speak to customers, they are covered in paint/dust and then speak to them like they are the queen 😀 the odd especially rude customer does get sworn at, not by me!

CurlsandCurves · 06/07/2018 21:19

Ooh @Wreck what I wouldn’t give to jump into a pool right now!

@cag how adorable is your little girl!

@love hope the interview goes well

@Sunny I used to play the clarinet. Ds2s whole year have been learning it too this past year. Amazing opportunity, totally free, they all got their own clarinet and weekly lesson as a class. This is probably very outing but the other week they amongst other local schools got to play with the Halle orchestra! V proud.

Vvvvvvv hot. Can’t wait till Tuesday when it looks like we are getting a drop in temperature to a positively chilly 22 degrees....

Loveabaconsandwich · 06/07/2018 21:21

DP has gone out so I am home with sleeping DC. I'm so hot I am just sat on my bed doing nothing. I think I burnt the back of my neck standing outside with numerous chatty customers today

SunnyLikeThursday · 06/07/2018 21:23

That's brilliant about your ds curls. He must be a clever lad. I'm having quite a time trying to get my head around all the fingerings and trying to tweak the engineering to stop the squeaks. Playing with the orchestra must have been brilliant.

ChristmasSeacow · 06/07/2018 22:14

I am too hot to do anything. I can’t remembef anything. DS had sports day this morning and I’m not yet over spending 2 hours in direct sunlight, no shade. I put factor 50 on DD and she still has a bit of a builder’s tan.

I am about to embark upon some online bra shopping. It’s going to be very expensive. But I really want a clean bra every day in these sweaty times and a couple have recently bitten the dust. So bye bye moolah... hello K cups BlushGrin

SnugglySnerd · 06/07/2018 22:19

It is really hot today. Up until now there's been a nice breeze but today it's just muggy and sweaty. We need a good storm to freshen everything up.

Unescorted · 06/07/2018 22:25

lonely your peas are lovely. I am going to do a first harvest of purple mange tout tomorrow. Morrison's is doing cheap fruit bushes. I am hoping that this time next year I will be telling you about my first gogiberry and honeyberry crops. Salad is coming out my ears and I have made a batch of falafel to use up the coriander, mint and parsley. Food tastes so much better with a dash of smug.

Wolf the doing other people's work part of the CS does my nut in. My direct line number and email have been published in our latest funding prospectus. I have spent hours listening to men people telling me how brilliant they are while simultaneously demonstrating their ignorance. I have bruises on my forehead.

Snuggly I can't imagine the pain of counting lessons. DS is doing the same if it is any consolation.

Em hair hair of the dog is the way to go.

Cag I am getting so excited for you. Let me know if you want the frugaleers seed collection for your garden.

Flaps 😋 welcome.

Sunny hope your DS is ok soon.
Waves to sea mammy wreck

mammynowanauntyIRL · 06/07/2018 23:22

Just in from seeing a local production with dd and my friend and her dd, it was amazing, one of my friends was the lead.
We went for dinner first and I had my first drink in six months, tummy is very swirly after it so I don't think I'll be drinking again any time soon.
Night cost me €60 total

mammynowanauntyIRL · 06/07/2018 23:22

Waves back at unescorted Grin

LonelyOversharer · 07/07/2018 00:01

So, week 2 done at work. Very tired tonight though. It's very muggy. I get paid weekly, and promptly spent half my wages on groceries. Food is so very expensive now.

£85 in lidl, £48 in asda. All food, not any extra middle isle stuff. And I could buy not a drop of diet coke. My whole reason for going to asda. £20 Maccy-d's for the dc and dp (I had lidl bakery stuff).

To balance the good money news, my ex has not put in his maintenance money. It has never been this late before, and from the looks of things he has blocked me on facebook (my only way of contacting him). So we shall see. Thank goodness I have this job. So I'm not panicking, but honestly, can I just catch a wee break please?

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/07/2018 07:50

Lonely what an ass, would he know you'd got a job by any chance?

WreckTangled · 07/07/2018 08:18

I'm working in the toy shop today. A whole day of air conditioning!

Ds was up with a fever last night and is still asleep now.

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/07/2018 08:22

Is that as part of your regular job wreck? That sounds great.

I'm sitting out the lurgy, poking at the buttons of the clarinet, and trying not to spend money.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 07/07/2018 08:29

I'm a public sector worker and I swear all the time 😶 normally about 5 mins after arriving in the office I'm muttering ffs 😑 I try not to swear in front of patients.....

Yesterday was hard going as work was busy and I had a horrible headache all day and none of my usual tricks to get rid of it worked (cocodomol/coffee/ibuprofen) i can still feel it mildly now 😕

Today is going to be busy, dd has riding this morning, we are then going to see a friend who has had a recent op and from there going to my brothers for a football bbq.

I need to pick up a gift for my friend who is recovering and some food to take to the bbq.

Ystd was a lsd £1 to dd for sweets.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 07/07/2018 08:31

When my posts come up do other people see paragraphs? I put them in when I write the post but they then vanish on my phone. ....

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/07/2018 08:50

I get your paragraphs. Smile Glad you also swear. I do it a lot too.

ememem84 · 07/07/2018 08:57

I swear like a trooper. I’m going to have to be very careful with my language now ds is a bit older. I do not want his first proper words to be “motherfucker”

Wolfcub · 07/07/2018 08:58

Girlie there’s a lot of swearing in my public sector office too. We never swear at or about our customers though. Always about “things” or very often at our IT. I can see your paragraphs.

Need to get up and start doing some of the jobs I missed yesterday and then watch ds at his event before the football.

Have a happy frugal Saturday everyone.

QuiteCleanBandit · 07/07/2018 09:00

Haha em
Same here but I only swear if absolutely necessary .
My DC were taught that-to go and quietly have a good swear if needed 😂 but never at anyone .
For Fucks Sake -probably 100s times a day under my breath!

QuiteCleanBandit · 07/07/2018 09:03

Cashback for tea £1
£60 Sainsburys with 5 x points voucher .
If England win then double points .

ememem84 · 07/07/2018 09:13

So. Football. I’m not in the slightest bit interested in it really.

However. I have a 40/1 bet on Russia to win. (£5 free bet - it was worth a punt...and now with this second poisoning...no ones going to want Russia to lose right?!)

And in our work sweepstake I have both France and Sweden. So. If they both get through I could in theory get the first and second prize....

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/07/2018 09:26

Our school is having an international day soon and the head said the kids could wear England shirts for it, which seems like asking for trouble, in a school where about 80% of the kids are second generation immigrants (mine included).

However it occurred to me that ds is perfectly entitled to wear an England shirt, having been born and raised in England, so maybe I should send him on the day wearing one.

But I have no idea how even to buy one. The very thought has never even crossed my mind. I wonder if they cost an absolute bomb?

Cagliostro · 07/07/2018 09:40

Proper football shirts would sunny but DH is currently wearing various England t-shirts that were made especially for the last World Cup, and were very cheap in places like Primark and supermarkets. May be a better option if he’s not likely to wear it much after the event.

Ikea order has come out of my account, along with Tesco shop. And I still have plenty of money in my account. Woohoo! I’m going to play with the Ikea Pax Planner later to decide what wardrobe we need :o

DH is working extra hours today. Nobody else at work ever restocks the alcohol and they’ll lose money on a day like this. He was already going to miss the match so may as well make some overtime out of it. Long day for me and the Caglets though 😖 I have to take DD to ballroom. Will try and drag some of the charity shop stuff along too but won’t manage all of it.

SunnyLikeThursday · 07/07/2018 09:41

That's a busy day you've got on there cag. Are you feeling better now yourself? Thanks for the thoughts on the football shirt. Good idea.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/07/2018 09:54

I'm not public sector so I swear all the fucking time Grin I say sugar a lot in front of dc though Grin

I see your paragraphs girlie

I'm peeling today so very itchy

Going to update dc credit union accounts and get their Sterling for our holidays

They want to go to our local festival but I'm getting my hair done so don't know how that's going to work out
