Hi, I wanted to be clear about the thread I started before - it's not a swap, so nothing is required in return! It's for the perfectly good uniform items that you might otherwise give to charity. This way we can support each other in our mumsnet community.

I've got several pairs of boys black school trousers aged 8-9 with adjustable waists. Free to good home and I'm happy to post just PM me Smile

It's not school uniform but I have a pair of M&S plimsolls in a sort of army pattern ( think green and grey) size 2. They have never been worn as DS decided he didn't like them.

Happy to post to anyone who can make use of them.

ClaimedByMe · 11/07/2015 16:16

I have 2 pairs of black next bootcut trousers in age 14 and 2 pairs in age 15 one pair of each size has been taken out the packet and tried on but never worn out the house.

A pair of size 5 (adults not childs) hush puppies black shoes they are a narrow 5 never been worn just tried on.

candybar · 12/07/2015 13:11

Such a great idea, by the end of next week I will have around 5 red and white gingham summer dresses age 7-8 years, and a whole load of M&S ultimate non iron girls school shirts age 7,8,9, burgundy cardigans 7-8 from John Lewis and possibly grey pinafores age 7-8 and 8-9. My daughters will be starting at a new school in September so will be wearing a completely different uniform.

gymboywalton · 12/07/2015 15:41

eva50, thank you so much for the jacket and boys' shirts.

They will all go to a new home tomorrow ready for September! Star

tippytappywriter · 13/07/2015 22:09

I have 2 pairs girl's grey trousers size 10-11. Also 2 girl's blouses, short sleeves that don't button at the top (so not for those that wear a tie) age 10-11. Blouses worn once as for a school play. Pm me please.
I need black leggings age 11-12 if anyone has some.

Grumpyoldblonde · 14/07/2015 10:06

Hi,
I will have 2 x plain red polo shirts age 11-12 barely worn (Tesco) if anyone needs them plus 2 pairs red football socks, not sure of size but they fit my size 3/4 age 10 daughter.

The lady who wanted the 2 x grey skirts - I have not forgotten so will be in touch for your address nearer the time (school ends next Wed and I am going away for a few days)

I am likely to have a couple of good quality coats but will post up details towards the end of the holidays - ready for the next term/colder weather.

As an aside, I posted before about mega cheap stationery in Wilko, my Wilko now has a mega sale including pens/folders/pencil cases - items between 10-75 pence, might be worth anyone having a look. They also had craft kits reduced to pennies - ideal for young kids parties/ stocking fillers.

thatsshallot · 14/07/2015 19:44

Our school is about to check out the entire list property massive bin, would food banks take decent second hand uniform? Also going to contact PTA to see if could keep a few items of each size in case people need uniform that they cannot afford

FieryWill · 14/07/2015 21:57

AccordingToOurRecords, thank you so much for the trousers and shirts, I can't tell you how much I appreciate them - and the trousers look tough enough for my rugby mad DS!

I still have men's black slip on shoes, size 7, battered but hard wearing - the only ones to have been grown out of rather than ripped to pieces! Lotus make, not cheapies. If anyone can use them I'd be glad to post out.

lagirafe · 15/07/2015 06:54

It would seem I've miscalculated what I need if anyone has any boys grey trousers 8-9 I'd be really grateful! These boys just keep getting taller!!!!!
Thank you x

AccordingToOurRecords · 15/07/2015 10:56

Fiery, I have found the other pair of age 16s. I'll post them on when I can. I'm glad to be able to pass them on to you.

SuburbanRhonda · 15/07/2015 18:04

Not sure if food banks accept school uniform, shallot.

With the wide range of sizes and schools, it might just be too much hassle to store.

Doesn't your school offer them to parents for free if they're not claimed?

SuburbanRhonda · 15/07/2015 20:43

Got four pairs of boys' grey trousers age 7-8.

Also three white and two yellow polo tops, age 7-8.

Anyone interested, PM me and I'll get them in the post Smile

Imgoingtodisney · 17/07/2015 00:24

What a fantastic thread.

If anyone has any girls black or grey uniform items for an average age 8 girl I would be extremely grateful or trousers for a slim tall 12 year old boy starting secondary. DS is autistic and quite hard wearing on clothes and shoes so any spares are really helpful (shoes size 5).
I will now return to lurker status Flowers

SuburbanRhonda · 17/07/2015 08:15

disney does your DS wear age 12 trousers? Just that I've got a pair of M&S skinny fit black school trousers in age 14 if you're interested Smile

TheHappyCamper · 17/07/2015 20:02

As of today I have a full PE kit (unisex) if it could be of use to someone.

There are: 2 round neck white t-shirts age 5
2 pairs navy blue 'football' type shorts age 5
1 pair black slip on pumps size 10

I think this is an excellent idea for a thread. I'm a teacher (secondary) and had a chat with the TA who runs our lost property/2nd hand uniform. She sells the school logo'd sweatshirts and PE tops off for £1 -ish each and says she has been VERY busy this year. We were trying to think about how we could make it work even better.

SuburbanRhonda · 17/07/2015 21:18

vindscreenviper

Thank you for the trousers which arrived today - they are going to a family on Monday just in time for the end of term! Star

vindscreenviper · 17/07/2015 21:45

No problem, keep up the good work Thanks

weeonion · 18/07/2015 20:26

Hi folks. The first parcel I sent off has arrived.
i am away on holiday but when i get back i will write out what i have left.
i love this thread.

i dont know if it is running everywhere but in Scotland there is a school uniform bank running for donations of new items of uniform. They are taking referrals now from folks who need stuff.

SquidgersMummy · 18/07/2015 21:11

Hi, if anyone in need of any bits for the new school year I would love to join in. My dd is only 2 so no swopping just yet but happy to pop some bits into the trolley when next at supermarket if anyone needing anything. X

SquidgersMummy · 18/07/2015 21:16

Imgoingtodisney, did anyone get back to you? X

UnspecialSnowflake · 18/07/2015 21:16

I still have several pinafore dresses and girls trousers in navy, in sizes 5-6 if anyone is interested. Mostly M and S and all in good condition.

Also a couple of pairs of navy tights and a couple of pairs of red tights in 6-7.

countryandchickens · 18/07/2015 21:41

lagirafe · 18/07/2015 21:44
