SCHOOL UNIFORM BANK thread

Hi, I wanted to be clear about the thread I started before - it's not a swap, so nothing is required in return! It's for the perfectly good uniform items that you might otherwise give to charity. This way we can support each other in our mumsnet community.

I've got several pairs of boys black school trousers aged 8-9 with adjustable waists. Free to good home and I'm happy to post just PM me

I have girls white polos (frilly collar)
Skirts (grey)
Pinafore dresses (grey)
Plus PE kit - white t-shirt and navy shorts x2
All age 5-6.

And some pale blue polo shirts (regular collar)

yummytummy is it jut the pinafore / trousers you're after, or are white polo shirts any use to you?

Adara yes white polo shirts useful thanks. The new uniform is black then white and a really awful bright green jumper. Its bleurgh!

Sounds like local Catholic school Yummy! the favourite trick of schools recently seems to be insisting on those Blazers with contrast coloured piping on edges, - tryin to pretend they're public schools - that you can Of course only get at great expense from official outfitters!

I have 6 navy long sleeve v next jumpers age 7-8. Have been worn but in good condition.

Navy shorts age 7-8. No tags but have never been worn as they came as a pack of 2 originally.

A black Star Wars scarf ( never worn) not sure what age, but DS got it last year when he was 8.

And not school uniform but I have a brand new copy of "go set a watchman". Amazon said my copy might have 2 lines missing do they sent me a new one. I don't think the lines are missing in my copy but they don't want it back.

Happy to post any of the items above to people who need/want them and I will pay postage. PM me if interested.

I have two pairs of grey shorts, hardly worn as we bought them for the last few weeks of the summer term. 4-5. Happy to pass them on.

If anyone had Tesco club card vouchers they can currently be exchanged for twice their face value to spend on school uniform items

The next lot of vouchers should be coming soon. I thought I would double them up for boxers and socks.

Size 9 girl's kicker-style black boots, BHS, never worn. They're dead plasticky but seem sturdy. Patent finish.

Size 11 John Lewis plimsolls.

I have six M and S boys age 7 easy iron white shirts up for grabs. Sorry no trousers as I turned them into shorts! Size 1 F plimsolls and astro trainers (black) both Clarks. Rest of stuff is branded.

Still have:

Grey trousers age 13-14 (boys)
Grey pleated skirts 26"
Lots of white shirts & blouses, assorted sizes (well worn but might be useful spares)
Lots of blue gingham summer frocks - all sizes 4-11

I still have grey girls trousers age 5

Green school uniform plus generic grey/white stuff.

Variety of sizes, but all fit perfectly-average-sized DD up to the end of year 6.

Grey skirt (flared with butterfly embroidery on pocket). Age 8 (adjustable waist fit perfectly but was VERY short last month!).
2 x long sleeved (elastic cuff button) white shirts. Age 8.
2 x grey pinafore (zip front, box pleat, bitterly embroidery on pocket, flower zip pull). Age 10.
Bottle green cardi (cotton, frill at bottom hem). Age 8.
2 (well, 3, but see note) green gingham summer dresses (zip front, flower zip pull). Age 9.

All M&S bar the cardi, which is from Sainsburys. All in good nick, with these exceptions: cardi been well worn and is slightly faded; one of the dresses has some ink spots (DD wore it on the last day of term and her shirt was signed over the top of it) hence it's only really good as an emergency spare.

I also have a selection of short and long white socks (some of the short ones with green trim) in 12.5 to 3.5 but mostly shrunk to rather smaller (I would only send the nicer ones, not the ones DD has worn out in the garden), bottle green tights (barely worn, DD flirts with tights then decides against them), and age 9-10 vests (some unworn).

I have some school trousers if anyone needs them.
2 pairs grey m and s age 9, 1 pair George 8-9 in grey and 1 pair George 8-9 in charcoal.

They all have adjustable waists.

Is this thread still running? I have five pairs of boys' dark grey trousers, age 7-8 (mix of Next and F&F) and two pairs of dark grey Next shorts, age 7, if anyone can make use of them. Also some polo shirts - three white and two light blue, again age 7-8.

Can anyone help my dsis? She's having a hard time after having left her EA/DV twat of a husband. Car has been impounded as the tax was 'cancelled', child tax credits stopped as 'the DC live with him' (bastard twat, no they don't). I'm helping her with half the uniform but she needs;
Grey school skirts age 8-9 with adjustable waist for a tall, skinny 8 yr old.
Red or white polo shirts 8/9, 9/10 will also fit.
Red cardigans 8/9, 9/10.

I am in need of some navy pe shorts age 8-9 and some navy jumpers if anyone has any?

I have some blue shirts age 8 to gift if anyone needs them? Also some grey school shorts think age 7-8 years.
