SCHOOL UNIFORM BANK thread

Queenofknickers · 26/06/2015 18:37

Hi, I wanted to be clear about the thread I started before - it's not a swap, so nothing is required in return! It's for the perfectly good uniform items that you might otherwise give to charity. This way we can support each other in our mumsnet community.

I've got several pairs of boys black school trousers aged 8-9 with adjustable waists. Free to good home and I'm happy to post just PM me Smile

I have a load of boys school trousers age about 5-7. I will go up and check exactly what I have. They are all charcoal grey or grey.

AnneElliott · 27/06/2015 14:00

This is a great thread. Will have a proper sort out later, but I have several navy v neck jumpers ( M&S ones) that are size 8 and 9. Happy to post to anyone who needs them.

prepperpig · 27/06/2015 14:03

One pair age five charcoal grey trousers

three pairs age 6-7 charcoal grey trousers

four pairs age 7 grey trousers.

All M&S with a good amount of wear left in them.

RandomMess · 27/06/2015 14:03

Several grey school skirts ages 6-8, will fit slim girls

RandomMess · 27/06/2015 14:04

Many pairs of H&M girls knickers age 4-6 in VGC that dd has finally grown out of (she is very slim!)

beeny · 27/06/2015 14:12

I have girls pinafores 7and 9 and toys and coats ? Please let me know if anyone wants anything

RandomMess · 27/06/2015 14:14

Also Age 11 pink gingham summer dresses.

AuditAngel · 27/06/2015 14:25

This is a lovely thread. Unfortunately DS's uniform is fairly grim, except shirts and trousers I'm hoping will be suitable for his new high school, DD1's things are kept for DD2.

I will check the bag of uniform kept for DD2, sound may not fit her, I'll be back

Peppapissinpig · 27/06/2015 14:32

Queen do you still have the boys trousers available? Looking for approx age 9

LadyDeadpool · 27/06/2015 14:40

Electro it's the actual idea of applying and being assessed that sets off my anxiety so badly, I know it's harder for people with MH issues and the idea of being judged and them thinking I'm lying terrifies me.

I have a Beavers Polo Shirt in size 26 chest and baseball cap if anyone would like it.

I also have a pair of boys size 8 - 9 charcoal grey cargo style school shorts.

I recently had a massive clear out of DS's stuff so I don't have a lot of school uniform items yet. His white polo shirts that he is wearing now are in good condition. I'll only be buying new for next school year as he is growing out of them. So if anyone wants those for Sept, let me know.

Does anyone want boys summer jersey shorts? Again, aged 8-9 or 9-10?

And what about shoes/trainers/football boots?

TheFutureMrsB · 27/06/2015 15:11

Grumpyoldblonde · 27/06/2015 15:20

The schools finish for summer shortly and I will have some grey skirts, red polo tops (worn a couple of times only) and red footie socks (unworn) plus black tights (mainly unworn) and probably a coat or two.
I am posting really to give the thread a bump for the Saturday afternooners and will post my offers properly when term ends. I wonder if we could include costumes, you know, when it is world book day or international day/Christmas jumper day, all those days where you pay a pound to charity and spend £20 on a stupid outfit, used to make my heart sink!

prepperpig · 27/06/2015 15:23

All trousers now taken. I will probably have some other stuff when I have a sort out though.

Queenofknickers · 27/06/2015 15:34

Pepperpissinpig the age 8-9 have gone but I have a pair of unworn M&S age 9-10 lined and with wool which I'd LOVE someone to get use out of! Seems criminal to have them sitting in a drawer. PM me your address x

Will have a sort tonight but definitely have some girls 7-8 skirts from m&s and a green Cardigan.

Also got a bag of bits aged between 6 and 10. Can list out individual bits tomorrow but let me know what to need and I can check.

Lady, can't help on the clothes front but have some Aussie shampoo and a few bits of cosmetics if your daughter can use them? I was the kid bullied for being poor at school so would love to be able to send her a treat.

caz1010 · 27/06/2015 19:48

I'm looking for a cubs uniform for ds. size 9 - 10
I did really well and budgeted for uniform for school and now he's decided he luffs cubs and wants to carry on I really want to scrape him a uniform together.

I have to offer boys red v neck school k jumper age 9-10 and one 7-8

zobey · 27/06/2015 19:59

AccordingToOurRecords · 27/06/2015 20:02

I have boys black, flat fronted school trousers in ages 15 & 16 ( 2 pairs each size) and a pile of white short sleeved school shirts( same ages) if they are of any use. VGC. Probably have other bits n pieces. I'm away until Monday but will check when I get home.

weeonion · 27/06/2015 20:07

I have a couple of grey skirts, a couple of navy pinafores, some light blue blouses, some white blouses and a couple of pairs of navy cycling shorts for PE. all aged 6/7 or 7/8.

WhispersOfWickedness · 27/06/2015 20:11

What a great idea for a thread Grin
I will be back with a full list in a month, once school has broken up for the summer Smile

PersonalClown · 27/06/2015 20:16

I'll have a post when I've gone through his clothes properly. Will be tracksuits, outdoor stuff and usual uniform.

Currently fitting my very tall, very skinny 5ft 8ish 13 year old.

HemanOrSheRa · 27/06/2015 20:39

caz I have a cubs sweatshirt. The 'formal' one you sew their badges onto. 30 inch chest. DS is 10 and it fitted him. Though I got it for him when he was 8 and it was quite roomy.

The only problem is, I am a lazy baggage, and I fabric glued his badges on. I've taken his badges off but the glue is stuck to the jumper like shit on a blanket Blush. Does anyone know how I can shift it? You are most welcome to the sweatshirt but I need to get the glue off first.
