SCHOOL UNIFORM BANK thread

Hi, I wanted to be clear about the thread I started before - it's not a swap, so nothing is required in return! It's for the perfectly good uniform items that you might otherwise give to charity. This way we can support each other in our mumsnet community.

I've got several pairs of boys black school trousers aged 8-9 with adjustable waists. Free to good home and I'm happy to post just PM me Smile

Anyone got boys' black trousers age 7-8 going spare? All donations I get go to the families I support through my job in a community primary school Smile

Rhonda, I wish you luck in the 7-8 boys' trouser category as most boys trousers are not recyclable from the age of 5 -13 due to football in the playground etc. I hope you find some. However BHS and Sainsburys start really racking down the prices in about a week usually - ready for the 'Back to School' stuff before we have even broken up.

Elephant DSL has never worn out a pair of school trousers, except a pair he got from his cousin which were almost through when he got them. Not only that, but his cousin gets all DS's trousers for the following school year.

It helps that DS hates football.

Three pinafores in 5-6 grey all with pockets.
One zip up two over the head.

Also one maybe two PE skort things skirt with shorts built in under.

I also have a little girls ballet class uniform in plum with pink wrap cardi and ballet shoes in pink.
Age 4, I'll need to check on the shoes size. Message me if you want the lot!
It's a leotard and floaty chiffon skirt.

I've already had some lovely donations via this thread and they've all gone off to new homes, so I don't want to be greedy.

I'll have some older boys' stuff to list later on this week once I psych myself up to tackling the ironing mountain ...

What a great idea. I'll go through ds's stuff later and see what we have. I've just given some stuff to his school's uniform sale.

Hi, I love this thread.
My son will be starting nursery in September, I am in need of 2/3, 3/4 *Trousers or shorts (with adjustable waist hopefully),
*White polo shirts
*Navy Jumper
*Pumps - 6/7 infant

I do have some girls bits, will post when term ends.

If you get no takers, maybe ask at a local ballet class - not your own DC's obviously - as there may be someone in need there.

I have two pairs of boys black, slim-fit trousers age 7. They are 22in waist 21in inside leg.

They're very good quality (Trutex), I got them free in a MN product test last year!

I have two m&s grey trousers shorter leg length age 8-9 boys if anybody can use them.

I'm on the lookout for girls blue gingham dresses 7-8 or pinafores.

Boys navy blue shorts. Age 4-5 years.

Suitable for P.E. 100% cotton. Brand new (I used to sell them on eBay!).

I have four pairs left. Happy to post second class to anyone who can make use of them.
