FourTeaFallOut · 30/01/2021 13:50

Here for the good vibrations.

Monkeytennis97 · 30/01/2021 13:50

Really pleased as DFiL had his first jab yesterday and my DM and DD had theirs about 2 weeks ago (all in their 70s). Just DMiL now in a week or so :)

Monkeytennis97 · 30/01/2021 13:51

Hopping on the boat - hopefully we’ll have an amazing week of news 🥰🥰

FourTeaFallOut · 30/01/2021 14:11

Hugo Gye has tweeted that England are reporting 437k + vaccinations today. 436k first doses.

Furries · 30/01/2021 14:28

To all of those on the last thread who reassured me re the booking system - THANK YOU 💐💐💐💐💐💐

Have booked my mum in - first jab is two weeks today. I actually feel a bit tearful.

FuzzyPuffling · 30/01/2021 14:29

Marking my spot for more good news.

TeaInTheGarden · 30/01/2021 14:36

Hoping for 500k first doses reported today...!
🤞🏻

chri55ie · 30/01/2021 14:38

I think the Wales figure is low something to do with a problem inputting the data... but it will be at least late 400’s I think which is great.

Thank you BBCONEANDTWO!

Just checking in to the best thread on MN

Just the rest of today and tomorrow then January is over, that's the first month done. We will still be in the dark, difficult times, but we shouldn't be too far out now.

AVictoryProduct · 30/01/2021 14:55

Bookmarking my happy place

GrumpySausage · 30/01/2021 15:01

Bookmarking my go to on a bad day. Also good news in that my Uncle who I haven't seen in nearly a year, has been vaccinated today. He had to take a trip to Pride Park and he's a long term ardent supported of a rival team but he said he'd glady see the Derby colours on this occasion!

My Aunt is being vaccinated tomorrow too.
I feel a little bit more relief each family member I hear of. My parents are not yet done but they are in the next group so waiting with anticipation.

Florelei · 30/01/2021 15:03

Hi, checking in!

There's signs that our vaccination programme is starting to have an effect on infection rates.

Booking my place on the good news train, and counting down to what will hopefully be some fantastic figures come 4pm.

Another thread 🥰 amazing

Thefamousfivegetcovid · 30/01/2021 15:54

Hello! Well thanks to you all here, my parents are now booked in for their jab. They didn't believe me that they could just use the website so were v mistrustful but we had a huge row had a chat and they gave it a go. They're now booked in and I can tell they are extremely relieved and a weight has been lifted. They've both previously had cancer. It's a lovely feeling and I know someone else I care about very much is getting done next week too. It's a really good feeling after a miserable slog of a year.

And I'm another person who will feel much better for January being done. Bloody hate it at the best of times. The worst is actually behind us now if you think about it. Even if there is a difficult winter next year in any way with a degree of Covid deaths, it won't actually be this bad thanks to the vaccine and how many people have had the virus in general. It will all get incrementally better from here. And we're a step closer to spring.

WednesdayalltheWay · 30/01/2021 15:59

That's great news famous five Grin
Sorry, I couldn't keep up with the other thread, can someone summarize the vaccine booking thing? Is there any point me trying to get parents to do it when they haven't been contacted?

louisejxxx · 30/01/2021 15:59

Same here re: January - I was elated earlier when I remembered February is a shorter month! Smile

louisejxxx · 30/01/2021 16:00

Yes @WednesdayalltheWay there is if they are in the categories that are being called forward (so CEV or over 70)

I’m sorry, I don’t have the link to hand but I’m sure someone will be able to post it for you.

Level75 · 30/01/2021 16:03
