Two pieces of news today:

Matt Hancock reiterates that once the vaccine priority list has been vaccinated the order of next doses still needs to be decided. Says teachers and nursery workers would have a good claim to being at the top, as do police and other public servants/key workers.

NEW
Two more effective treatments have been identified for Covid-19 in a British clinical trial: rheumatoid arthritis drugs tocilizumab and sarilumab.
From now, hospitals are being encouraged to give ICU patients tocilizumab which appears to reduce mortality rates by 24%.
(Just a point though. If you reduce mortality it means you have more very unwell people in beds, rather than them dying and freeing up beds - its good less people are dying, but the outcomes for those who survive are also important to note and sheer numbers in beds also cause knock on issues to levels of care in all areas including non covid cases).
