Has everyone really stopped having sex?

It’s early and I am stressed so what better than to worry about other peoples sex life.

Have all the single (or maybe not single) women here really just not had sex with anyone new in 2020? Have teenagers really stopped shagging? It just seems inhuman if true.

Threesomes during the covid pandemic is worth writing a novel about!

I had my first threesome during the pandemic Grin

Lovemusic33 · 04/01/2021 08:32

Only managed it 3 times during the last year (one really wasn’t worth it), all during the summer when restrictions were lifted slightly, now back to being a nun. Tbh I can take it of leave it, I don’t think about it much.

midnightstar66 · 04/01/2021 08:32

I split up with an ex just before lockdown in March. No I haven't had sex since. I could though because like any other single person I could form a support bubble (which can be changed after 10 days) so potentially I could still be having sex with more than one person over the time period leaving 10 days in between. I can't be arsed though!

PawPawNoodle · 04/01/2021 08:34

I have a friend thats been shagging her way through the phone book since first lockdown.

OrchestraOfWankery · 04/01/2021 08:39
@Ultimatecougar

That’s what I was thinking!

So it looks like legally you can have sex with a new man every 10 days but only if you live alone? That’s pretty weird.
Hope it doesn't become mandatory! I'm used to not shaving my legs now.......

When I was dating (years ago) we’d often go hiking and find very remote spots where it took our fancy

Alas I can’t imagine even that being an option for daters now when the walks are so overrun

Hubby and I have been doing this a lot since March, key thing is go for a long, long walk. No point going on a 2 mile circular of a reservoir like the rest, do a 8+ mile hike to nowhere, can stop every mile for a treat ;-)
WildOrchids67 · 04/01/2021 08:45

I have a sort of on/off FWB that I've seen a few times since lockdown, yes, technically breaking the rules but I live alone and he's pretty much been my only social life this year!

Wannabangbang · 04/01/2021 08:47

Single no sex since covid came here and tbh can't see me getting any this year either. Can't wait for next year and it's only January

JofraArchersFastestBall · 04/01/2021 08:48

My two friends who were single going into the first lockdown both did some zoom dates and fairly quickly met people they really clicked with and have been dating and happily bubbled ever since.

I don't know if somehow lockdown clarified things, or maybe more people were done with being single and looking for serious relationships - but they'd both struggled to find anyone decent before lockdown. Either way I'm very happy for them and hope the relationships last, living alone during all of this can't have been easy.

yankeedoodledandee · 04/01/2021 08:50

Obviously if you are under 21 that won’t stop you but for everyone else?

Obviously?

Come on. I'm sure there are as many over 21 rule breakers as there are unders.

ithinkyouareveryrude · 04/01/2021 09:00

My very close friend has met her soon to be husband during lockdown. They were talking as the first lockdown came and they moved in together in november. He proposed at Christmas and they’re hoping to get married in 2022. I for one know they have been at it like rabbits and I couldn’t be happier for her he seems like an amazing guy and absolutely nothing less than she deserves ☺️

If he's the only person you are meeting why would you think you are breaking the rules?

DuchessofDerbyshire · 04/01/2021 09:02

Two single household adults can form a bubble.

If 2 people have their own homes and are not bubbling with anyone else, they can form a bubble.

BellatrixBlack · 04/01/2021 09:07

I had a dry spell, last time I had sex was in March before lockdown, then shagged a friend right at the end of December. (Tier 4 area, breaking all the rules.) As my housemates have all been breaking the rules, I thought 'fuck it'. I've also been hugging people all the way through this,

notevenat20 · 04/01/2021 09:10

Are you thinking that after banning sex for so long they might make it compulsory in the Summer? :)

I was referring to sex outdoors. Turns out from thus thread that it’s not only for those under 21 though :)

midnightstar66 · 04/01/2021 09:12

Outdoors is too busy now, can't get peace wherever you go these days 🙄😆

DumplingsAndStew · 04/01/2021 09:15

Haven't you read the number of MNers starting new - dysfunctional - relationships during Covid?

VivaMiltonKeynes · 04/01/2021 09:21

@notevenat20

If it has stopped dirty old predatory men having sex then that is one of the few benefits of the pandemic.

I realise that as a woman I shouldn’t say this, but I feel sorry for old men. It’s predatory young men that worry me. If an older man fancies someone, that shouldn’t be a crime,

You really need to rephrase this Shock
Flumps44 · 04/01/2021 09:22

Not much different if you’re married in my case, I’d have it a lot more frequently if I could!

Billie18 · 04/01/2021 09:25

Coronavirus succeeding were other religions always slipped up keeping the nation pure and chaste. No fornication outside of government approved relationships. Fines of £10,000 for any rule breakers and neighbors willing to report suspects.

I must have missed something. What did I get wrong?

StopSquirtingBleachOnCaneToads · 04/01/2021 09:28

Christ, I can't imagine having sex outdoors in the UK at this time of year. Fair play to anyone that's been doing that.

Government approved sex is permitted.
