I mean, he's pretty convincing so far tbh. Anyone else watching?

Not the only one saying it. Ive been following Ivor Cummins the fat emperor all along.

Im scared of the NEXT zoonotic virus.

queenofknives · 11/11/2020 19:25

I'm getting to the point where I think the only way forward now is to ditch masks, forget about social distancing, ignore the lockdown and just go back to life. We can't lose all our rights and freedoms, give up the nhs and go into a devastating economic depression for a virus that kills virtually no one.

Most scientists have discredited his work regarding CV 19.

Bushola · 11/11/2020 19:44

If he’s not following the usual Covid narrative then he’s going to get called a conspiracy theorists or discredited by lots of people. Anything not following the official line gets treated this way

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 11/11/2020 19:46

kills virtually no one.
Seriously?

herecomesthsun · 11/11/2020 19:48

There are some better videos here that actually follow the science and are in keeping with mainstream scientific thinking Smile

Great Barrington Declaration? Seems like many scientists are not happy with the way covid is being dealt with gbdeclaration.org/

Are you serious? Give up the NHS All well and good until you or your loved ones needs it.
lose all our rights and freedoms You haven't lost your rights or your freedoms, you are being asked to confirm to the restrictions in order to protect you and everyone else.
virus that kills virtually no one
Tell that to the 50,000 families who have lost a loved one.
You are either being deliberately obtuse, or incredibly selfish and naîve.

queenofknives · 11/11/2020 19:56

@UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername

kills virtually no one. Seriously?
There's a very low death rate as far as we can tell. And a lot of 'covid deaths' are nothing of the kind - they are deaths due to other causes but the covid test has shown positive. They are really deaths 'with' covid, rather than from covid. So we really don't know, but we do know that it's not the kind of fatal illness that needs us all to stay home and isolated and destroy lives and the economy for.

I love your username btw!

OP, did you miss the news headlines today.

The UK has hit 50,000 deaths.

More than any other country.

Oh, and the Great Barrington Declaration has also been completed discredited.

UntamedWisteria · 11/11/2020 19:57

sorry, that should be more than any other european country

queenofknives · 11/11/2020 19:59

Give up the NHS All well and good until you or your loved ones needs it.

Yes, that was my point. It would be awful to lose the NHS. And that's what seems to be happening. Did you see the nurse who resigned after she shared the figures from her hospital - completely shut down, empty wards, and three covid deaths? We are going to lose our health service and it's horrifying.

You haven't lost your rights or your freedoms Yes I absolutely have. We all have. If you want to argue that you're okay with that, then fine - that's your prerogative. A lot of people feel that way, but I definitely don't.

Covid: UK first country in Europe to pass 50,000 deaths!
midgebabe · 11/11/2020 20:01

You see, if you are focusing on the relatively low death rate, it shows he hasn't really got a grip of what's the problems leading to lockdowns

Which are things like the risk of social disruption that could result from an overwhelmed NHS and high sick rates leading to disruption of supply chains etc etc

Try harder next time, some new line as it's getting boring having the same nonsense every few days

queenofknives · 11/11/2020 20:01

Do you have a link to the discrediting? I just looked and nearly 12,000 public health scientists have signed it. Have they taken back their support?

Funny thing is, I dont know many medics or nurses who say that it "kills virtually no-one". All the nhs staff I know are pretty clear how awful an illness COVID can be. Strange that, you'd think they'd know.

frosted232 · 11/11/2020 20:04

@UntamedWisteria because other countries are not recording any positive Covid test result in the past 28 days as a Covid death like us.

I think we have to look at the bigger picture. Over 50 million people have contracted this virus and 1 million people have died. That's still 49 million people that have recovered and statistically no where near as bad as past pandemics. We need to look at other repercussions lockdowns and restrictions are having on people because this will be the lasting legacy Covid 19 leaves behind.

It doesn't kill virtually no one. Vaccinations will very likely be starting soon and we should hopefully start to see some return towards normality. Just be patient a bit longer.
Igotjelly · 11/11/2020 20:04

Ever wonder why the death rates are so low? Not to mention the numerous other causes of death that would increase if we let Covid run amock and use up all the available hospital capacity. It's incredibly selfish to say fuck it and get on with life. No where else in the world do they have such utter disregard for the health of their elderly and vulnerable.

gnomeisland · 11/11/2020 20:04

The HCP who 'resigned' from Treliske in Truro was talking a load of bollocks.

Keepdistance · 11/11/2020 20:05

Just the odd 500 a day with lockdowns and with nhs care.
The percentages are based on healthcare.what you saw at the start in italy etc is what happens when overwhelmed and hospitals full of under 60s.
Join the long covid fb groups. Lots and lots of young people with it.

GoldenOmber · 11/11/2020 20:06

We’ve had an awful lot of excess deaths this year, in lots of different countries, all correlated with high covid rates. What do you think’s killing them - bizarre spate of bus accidents?

Covid: UK first country in Europe to pass 50,000 deaths!

But we know that a lot of these are deaths 'with' covid rather than as a result of covid. The numbers are going down in most places. It's crazy to have a lockdown in the southwest when there's virtually no cases, for example.

I'm not saying it's not serious or real, and I do think there are some measures we should take seriously. But I feel the way it's been dealt with is way more dangerous than the virus itself. First lockdown while we got our heads around it - fine. But now? People are losing their jobs, their businesses, their health, their freedom and even their lives and there's no convincing evidence that this is for the best.
