Will we follow Wales? I'm pretty sure we will at one point, jusr want to know when!!

Is half term next week for most English kids?

@StarCat2020

we could be looking at 200 deaths a day by mid-November Today's figure of 241 was shocking but I am (probably stupidly) hoping that this was an anomaly.
Same.

But most weeks lately we get a high anomaly and then it settles at a new, higher level for few days.

The seven day average just seems to go up every week lately.

Personally I think England will have one before the end of the year, doubtful it will be as soon as next week now though.
I really don’t want one, however looking right back to the beginning of all of this, the government have pretty much refused so many steps and rules and then they relent anyway, but by then it’s too late; the first lockdown, masks being mandatory etc.

Too little too late.

My kids have been on half term a week and have another week to go (both schools changed to 2 week half terms this year) so a circuit breaker would come in as they go back.

Also - 2 weeks is a waste of time - it's basically an isolation period for a family. A lot of people will just be coming out of a circuit breaker to find out they are just going down with it.

If the government force it, they should (but won't) ensure that everyone gets paid to be off work. Most people are getting to the point they simply can't afford to stay off anymore.

The latest science is that it can incubate far longer than 14 days - it can actually incubate for over a month according to the latest medical news so it really would be a spit in the ocean to have a 2 week break.

Every case in my town is connected to the university or hospital (staff). A lockdown will go nothing except wreck businesses. Get the areas with problems under control first by enforcing the existing rules

A circuit-breaker may or may not save lives but what sort of an existence will it be when it's over? Unbelievable numbers mired in Universal Credit hell, living standards crashing through the floor, mental illness becoming it's own pandemic....

The only sector that will be flourishing are debt collection agencies.

Thanks for the lack of Churchillian leadership Boris!
