How long did your test results take?

I had the test at 12.30 Saturday lunchtime at a drive in centre and still nothing. They actually told me they should be back in 24 hours (though I was skeptical of this) but now I'm worried the test may have got lost.

Has anyone else had their results later than 48 hours?

15 hours for us, Norfolk. Really surprised!

Tested 7am yesterday, got results 8pm today - London.

When I hear how quickly some of these results are coming through, it makes me think more and more that my daughter's results are lost 🤔

@SnapeSnapeSeverusSnape - I am praying this second test comes through quicker. I need to get back to work and the school are being ridiculous.

@Ammari515253 me too... I’m wondering whether to book DD another test. We can’t afford to self isolate for 14 days... that’s half my husbands monthly income gone...

Result just back negative at 9:05pm! I escalated it yesterday. 84 hours.

My DS was tested 12:30pm yesterday and received results 9:00am this morning. Was surprised how quickly results came through.

Just got ours, so 30 hours (negative).

I tested at 18:30 Sunday
Got result at 01:40 Wednesday
It was positive . Kids negative

Just woke up to an email sent at 00:25 - my result is negative. Home test so results came through around 55 hours after posting it.

Still awaiting results for DD - a few hours until it's time to get up and ready should email arrive - but not sure how likely that is now which means missing another school day.

Still waiting here. 87 hours so far, losing hope now.

Finally got my negative result at 6:45am this morning after chasing on the helpline last night. Took test at drive through on Sunday 1pm. Back to work and school thank goodness! I'm still coughing so might print off my result to hang around my neck!

@KooKooKachu you're school have got it all wrong! You have to test within 5 days of getting symptoms. So totally pointless for you now. OR self isolate for 2 weeks.

24 hours. Had to drive 20 miles to get the test done.

Got sons this morning so still got kids to school in time. 22 hours since test so pleased.

Shocking how different peoples experiences are.

That's reassuring. I am seriously wondering whether our missing result will ever arrive.

We've got a private home test arriving today, 5th day since symptoms so last chance in case the original result never arrives! I expect (hope!) our NHS result will arrive the moment we use it. Soda law. Or maybe wishful thinking.
