Just that.

If you're meant to be quarantining, they call you to ask if you're home. Can they track you?

Has anyone had these calls?

@cantdothisnow1 I agree with you in the point of not being able to go out at all for exercise or to walk your dog (that's if you could even get your dog back from the holiday minders). There was a thread a couple of weeks back about someone wanting to go for a run at 5 am whilst in quarantine - I really can't see how this could be harmful as long as you are not feeling unwell

No one around here seems to be bothering quarantine.Angry

The selfish fuckers even go as far as posting their famikyboutings all over Facebook and instagram. If I wanted to report the mid have a comprehensive catalogue of evidence but it seems it probably over run who everyone that does thechecks or follows up complaints (if they exist) as my social media is crammed full of people doing this.
They've been out more than me and I'm not in quarantine park, numerous meals out, for walks, bike rides, Dunelm, the beach, the fun fair at the beach, gym, swimming, nail bars, hospital appointments, hairdressers, charity shops and it goes on.....

Honestly it really is as if no one gives a fuck and is even attempting to limit anything!

Sorry to hear @RhiantheMunter. I could not tell here if people are complying or not as I don't know their circumstances.

Are you sure they are not exempt? The exemption list is quite long tbh and includes mail workers, etc. so between exempt countries and exempt professions, there would be a lot of recent travellers not needing to quarantine.

my DB returned from a 1 month planned trip to a remote rural part of France to see his girlfriend. He had planned to return on Tuesday 11th August on eurotunnel but his car broke down. Since it is August "les grands vacances " there were delays getting hold of car mechanic and parts to fix it. At one point Euroassistance were offering to transport the car back to the UK in a few weeks and to offer him a flight or Eurostar train home via Lille. At this point the q14 had not been announced but seemed imminent. He had amended his Eurotunnel to Saturday 14th just in case the car was fixed. Fortunately car fixed Friday evening in time to make Saturday crossing. Apparently there were people driving very fast to make it to the ports to get back to the uk before Q14 started.
