Anyone see him on the news?

Clapping for a few moments for the NHS and then asking the camera crew if they got what they needed.

I was a little disappointed as, although I’m sure it wasn’t, it came across a bit like fake compassion.

From the video it clears shows he wants to bring his daughter back into the house - presumably to keep her safe?

Is this better than the pig-fucker PM we had who left his daughter at the pub?

Or the current fuck-wit fridge-hiding PM who doesn't see 5 out of 6 of his children?

This sums it up nicely for me.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:20

Populism was all right to get us through the Brexit nightmare, but lives are at risk now so we need a competent government who don't just waffle and bluster and quote Latin to keep us plebs quiet.

JamieLeeCurtains · 10/05/2020 21:23

Johnson's Latin isn't even that good. It's quite rote and rigid.

I wouldn't know, because I'm just a pleb 😂

HotelduLac · 10/05/2020 21:40

Both Nicola Sturgeon and Keir Starmer seem to me to be very genuine, caring, honest and intelligent people.

Same here. Can anyone honestly say that about Johnson? In fact, he's the opposite of all those qualities and the strange thing is even his supporters would agree. So why is he so popular?! Same question to Trump fans 🙈😂

Pisspotical · 10/05/2020 21:46

Who gives a fuck about Johnson’s latin?
He’s our PM, and long may it last!

But of you take away the Latin, what is left?

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:52

*if

JamieLeeCurtains · 10/05/2020 22:45

I give a fuck about his Latin because he allows his minions to boast that he is fluent in languages he either can't speak competently (including English) or of which he has merely a wisp of a basic grasp.

It goes to character.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 22:48

I hear he has a good grasp of Classics. Hopefully that will help us through too.

JamieLeeCurtains · 10/05/2020 23:10

Ah yes, Tacitus rather foresaw Johnson and Cummings. 'They make a desert, and call it peace.'

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 23:42

They can call anything whatever they want and the populace will lap it up

Nicedayforawedding · 10/05/2020 23:45

He might make more sense if he spoke in Latin Grin

JamieLeeCurtains · 11/05/2020 08:40

I wonder what it would take for the Populus Britanniae to turn on him. No more bread and circuses, perhaps? Just the bread to go then - a nice, hard Brexit with an embedded recession should do it.

NiteFlights · 11/05/2020 08:52

Yes, it’s a funny old world, in which people think it’s great that BJ was given an education that is utterly out of reach for about 99.9% of us, and the use he makes of it is by showing off with a bit of irrelevant Latin or reciting some racist old poem. Truly a man of the people!

Meanwhile KS is the ‘fake’ one?

Inacountrygarden · 11/05/2020 11:30

I’m glad that others have pointed out the truth in defence of Keir Starmer. I wish people would stop believing everything they read in the Daily Mail.

WhiteChocTwix · 11/05/2020 15:50

Sir Keir's doing a cracking job of questioning Boris in the commons right now! I think he's been reading MN...

CuriousaboutSamphire · 11/05/2020 15:52

Really? I thought most of his questions were ridiculous.

Just asking for the same or asking. The answers were in the main bloody obvious!

Drive to the border but not over it, ffs!!!!

NiteFlights · 11/05/2020 15:58

Strangely enough, as a Boris hater, I think he’s good at the scripted speeches, but ‘live’ (right now in the HOC), he’s awful - you can hear he wants to go back to a simple slogan to the point that he just completely flubbed the ‘stay at home if you can, go to work if you must’ update. The rabble-rousing approach is so much more natural to him than actually saying anything. I liked his positivity about people’s compliance and resilience in last night’s speech, but now, in the HOC, it just sounds like empty, insincere sloganeering.

Whattodowhattodooo · 11/05/2020 15:59

@WhiteChocTwix

I tend to agree. You can tell he's a lawyer. Very calm and clinical in his questioning as opposed to Corbyn who just shouted all the time. Then again it is a bit quiet in there!

JamieLeeCurtains · 11/05/2020 16:00

Keir Starmer just nailed it. Now Blackford is calling out the lies.

SistemaAddict · 11/05/2020 16:10

Bozo is out of his depth. It's embarrassing.

JamieLeeCurtains · 11/05/2020 16:37

He's floundering. Badly.

FliesandPies · 11/05/2020 17:07

Johnson is incapable of answering a straight question - his default is always either bluster or lies
