Anyone see him on the news?

Clapping for a few moments for the NHS and then asking the camera crew if they got what they needed.

I was a little disappointed as, although I’m sure it wasn’t, it came across a bit like fake compassion.

OP posts:
Didkdt · 08/05/2020 12:36

I disagree stellar he did was his hands after that visit there's pictures all over the media
No one knows if he wore gloves it was private
He could have caught it from a member of staff or a member of government we don't know so we can't say it's because he shook people's hands
And how does your opinion not extrapolate to everyone who is in hospital with the virus they also obviously didn't follow the rules so they are a waste of NHS resources?

FliesandPies · 08/05/2020 12:44

By the token of saying he did it deliberately token so then has everyone whose caught the virus because if they caught the virus they weren't following the rules

Are you sure you're a high court judge Didkdt? Not being funny but..

Namechangervaver · 08/05/2020 12:46

@DBML have you actually watched the full clip?

YinMnBlue · 08/05/2020 12:48

Can we look at what politicians contribute to a strategy that will work for the country in terms of long term stability, economy, education and health, and stop spending hours distracting ourselves with nitpickery about trivial stuff?

motorcyclenumptiness · 08/05/2020 12:52

Waves at the ultra free-market thinktank interns

Didkdt · 08/05/2020 12:54

Not with my punctuation @FliesandPies but you can't just sever who's responsible for catching their illness based on whether you like them or not.

1forsorrow · 08/05/2020 12:59

I assume they don't go round all these people at 8 pm so some are staged, big deal. I did notice that he was able to stand still for the 1 minutes silence today while Boris couldn't stop fidgeting. Any views on that?

FliesandPies · 08/05/2020 13:01

The issue with Johnson @Didkdt was that he trumpeted about shaking people's hands, made a big fat deal out of it as though it was a virtue, at the very time that the message was being put out to people not to have physical contact with people.

So it's not just that people don't like him and want to have a bash, it's that his moronic behaviour is part of the reason people don't like him

1forsorrow · 08/05/2020 13:02

@Namechangervaver thanks, just shows what a bit of propaganda editing can do.

derxa · 08/05/2020 13:12

I assume they don't go round all these people at 8 pm so some are staged, big deal. I did notice that he was able to stand still for the 1 minutes silence today while Boris couldn't stop fidgeting. Any views on that? He's just had CV. I noticed his very heavy breathing.

Didkdt · 08/05/2020 13:23

@FliesandPies that's not the same as saying he deliberately got ill and wasted resources which is what you started out by saying
At that point thousands of people were still shaking hands.
He's not the only high profile figure shaking hands that week, some of whom also got sick, and as I said we didn't see if he wore gloves.
Its the left who always go for the name calling and personal attacks. And I for one am sick of it.
If you want to do it to "moronic" Boris just accept some people may have a word or 2 to say about St Keir of the Labour Party.

terrigrey · 08/05/2020 13:33

From the video it clears shows he wants to bring his daughter back into the house - presumably to keep her safe?

Is this better than the pig-fucker PM we had who left his daughter at the pub?

Or the current fuck-wit fridge-hiding PM who doesn't see 5 out of 6 of his children?

Hmm
FliesandPies · 08/05/2020 13:38

@FliesandPies that's not the same as saying he deliberately got ill and wasted resources which is what you started out by saying

Err..I wasn't the one who said that actually (are you sure you're the Attorney General??). Never mind. The point is, HIS government were putting out advice for people to avoid CV by not shaking hands and other physical contact and to observe social distancing.

It's irrelevant how many other people were still shaking hands, he's the PM! The P bloody M for god's sake!! And he's so thick he thinks he will get some kudos for shaking the hands of pp who've had the virus, as if he's some sort of Princess Di figure. The man's an idiot, a twat, a useless, dishonest, contemptible bastard.

Sorry to besmirch your delicate ears with mean-minded insults, i'm sure never indulged in any such talk about Corbyn, Abbott etc. Bless your heart.

donquixotedelamancha · 08/05/2020 14:18

He proclaims to represent the working class ; a knighted millionaire arch remaining socialist.

Yeah, how dare a mere toolmaker's son rise to DPP and then leader of the opposition. He didn't even get into Oxbridge- Leeds of all places. Grammar schools really should stop all this nonsense about letting in scholarship kids, gives them pretentions.

Thank fuck we have Boris to represent the working class.

Seetheprettysnowdrops · 08/05/2020 18:05

I'm sure OP that you don't give a flying fuck about what random people on the internet tho know you.

That's clear

A well rounded, mature adult would have held their hands up and acknowledged that they'd been taken in by fake news

The fact you've continued says more about you than it does about Keir Starmer

BGD2012 · 10/05/2020 18:13

Only just realised it was Keir Starmer who assisted the Mclibel couple that McDonalds took through the courts back in the 90s for years. He did it pro bono which says something about him.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 18:31

McLibel case

BGD2012 · 10/05/2020 18:49

I saw the documentary years ago but never realised KS was the Barrister involved.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:01

I've not looked into Keir Starmer but what I have seen about him so far I really like.

BGD2012 · 10/05/2020 21:08

Yes he comes over well.

JamieLeeCurtains · 10/05/2020 21:12

He's statesmanlike compared to the clown in no. 10

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:13

That's not hard though. My three year old would compared to Boris Grin

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:13

And I don't even have a three year old 🙈

Duchessofealing · 10/05/2020 21:14

I think he’s a good leader for the Opposition and will hold the government to account which is excellent. I’d always understood the 11 plus and grammar schools to be a Tory construct which Labour have tried to abolish - I think that Keir show how fantastic the system can be when it works as expected.

Namechangervaver · 10/05/2020 21:18

We need some serious opposition. And when I say serious I mean non clown-like and buffoonish....clinical and analytical. Not just in the sense of serious as in someone who has a hope of winning against them. It's politics, not a reality TV show. We don't need to follow America in everything fucking they do, electing 'celebrities' for soundbites 🤔
