Why aren't people in their gardens or gazing out their window ?

What are they all doing?

I flit from being indoors to popping out to the garden to back indoors and nosing out the window. I can see many gardens from my house and no one is in theirs! Nor are they gazing out their windows.
Am I missing something? DH even said he was beginning to think we aren't allowed in our gardens as it's really odd round here.

(Yes I know I'm being nosey)

They’re working? That’s why I’m not in my garden

chickedeee · 08/04/2020 19:20

I'm indoors working

My retired neighbours are out in their garden sunning themselves from11-6!

I would rather wait until they have buggered off Grin

homemadecommunistrussia · 08/04/2020 19:21

I am watching the one show.

YangShanPo · 08/04/2020 19:21

They're all down the park sunbathing according to my FB

Maybe they don't like nosey neighbors

JassyRadlett · 08/04/2020 19:22

I’m working. DH is working. We’re in the garden with the kids when we can but until this week there’s been schoolwork to do.

Either way I’m never that curious about what my neighbours are up to so don’t spend much time checking up on them. If I have an idle minute it’s trees and birds I’ll pay attention to.

My neighbours’ kids are all out a reasonable amount, as far as I can hear.

Genvonklinkerhoffen · 08/04/2020 19:22

I'm smashing out 24 hour days six days a week. Is that ok?

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 08/04/2020 19:22

I’m working, entertaining a 3 year old and eating ALL the snacks.

Shockers · 08/04/2020 19:22

Our neighbours have been out in the garden all day, as have we.

homemadecommunistrussia · 08/04/2020 19:22

I hate going in the garden, the neighbours are all just there.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 08/04/2020 19:23

On my sofa watching tv. I don’t think any of our neighbours are out at 7pm.

SistemaAddict · 08/04/2020 19:23

I'm like you OP. I love a good nosy out of the window to see a little bit of the world going by. I like looking out for cats and just seeing signs of life outside of my own space. The family opposite and next door have been in their gardens. The annoying twats at the end are even more annoying in nice weather and have lit a bbq as they always do. Haven't seen one family for about a week though. I thought they'd be out in the garden with their babies. Maybe they've all got some great box sets to binge watch?

Undies1990 · 08/04/2020 19:23

We are indoors cooking dinner. It's a busy time to put children to bed too.

I’m sitting in the garden having a cup of tea

ParkheadParadise · 08/04/2020 19:25

Its bloody freezing here. Dd was in the garden earlier but moaned it was too cold.

Carrie7469 · 08/04/2020 19:26

I’m working from home and don’t have time

AhoyMrBeaver · 08/04/2020 19:28

I've been going on the garden out as soon as I'm home from work. We had a barbecue this evening which was nice and dragged every ounce of benefit out of today's sunshine. We came in by 7pm though.

chipsandgin · 08/04/2020 19:28

Working at my shit tiny ‘desk’ (table) sitting in an uncomfortable chair. Would bloody love to be in the garden even though I’ve missed all the sun and ignored my kids all day again :(

Nutellapastries · 08/04/2020 19:29

I’d love to sit out in my garden all day but I have a small child who gets bored and moans at me to go back in.

Samtsirch · 08/04/2020 19:32

I have spent most of every day in the garden, either gardening or reading 😀

Chrisinthemorning · 08/04/2020 19:32

All my neighbours have been out in their gardens today, as have we.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 08/04/2020 19:33

The sun disappears from my garden about 4pm so I don't bother with it after that.

minniemoll · 08/04/2020 19:34

I live in a small terrace of four houses, we've all been out in our gardens today, making the most of the sunshine, and chatting across the fence whilst we worked. It's been lovely.
