Will we be further locked down before Easter - Yes Or No

No point in putting this in AIBU as it will be moved so unable to use the vote functionality there.

There’s loads of threads about the rights and wrongs of banning exercise or other further restrictions but th3 fact is the government could do it

I think this weekend has shown too many people are unable to do what is asked of them as they all feel their circumstances somehow exempt them and, with a 4 day weekend coming up, it’s going to be too big a risk not to apply further restrictions

So will we be further locked down before Easter - Just Yes or No

No.

Yes I remembered the rowing back (not literally I think!) on the driving thing too. I wish all of the changes and clarifications were collated somewhere I’m clearly dated update. I looked the other day about over 70s with eg MS (I have relative in that category) as they changed over time. I gave up trying to work it out in YouGov.com which I had thought would be the most clear. It’s really hard to find some stuff now in form I have confidence in.

A few days after the partial lockdown was introduced this happened ^^

Because of the many people who think the rules don’t apply to them I hope we have a full lockdown before Easter weekend.

Fuck off! We don’t want you here!! 🤬

@MigginsMrs cringe indeed! Confused

There still seems to be wrongly held belief among some that it's ok to drive for your exercise.

Yes, but only somewhere local to you if there's some reason. Driving to the seaside from elsewhere certainly isn't included in that.

To answer the OP, Yes,

Deelish75 · 06/04/2020 17:03

DC and I have just been for a walk around our local park.
People in the play area.
The footpaths are quite wide, 2-3 metres wide, so a group of three women all walking next to each taking up the whole footpath. My DC and I ended up having to go onto the grass to allow them to pass. We had to pass them again by some railing, it was only when I started filming their behaviour did the actually move over, but they were quite bitchy about it.

When all this is over those people not adhering to social distancing will have blood on their hands.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/04/2020 17:13

In our village it's more like a competition to see who can cross the road first! All very friendly (once distance has been achieved) and cooperative.

Weirdwonders · 06/04/2020 17:49

No. And what ‘idiots’ are you all talking about anyway? Some people went to open parks and socially distanced themselves? The papers were gagging for pictures of people breaking the rules and really struggled to get many as far as I could see. Sone of you are practically salivating at the idea of further lockdown!

Sleepyblueocean · 06/04/2020 18:03

I think there will be another 3 weeks of the same. Everyone I have seen in my village has been social distancing. Early on there were a group of teens in the park but they were shamed on the local FB page which seems to have put a stop to it.
No exercise out of the house would be nightmare for us as severely autistic ds would become even more aggressive than he has already become. I dare say those who think it is a good idea aren't being attacked everyday.

Scottishgirl85 · 06/04/2020 18:09

I think the current lockdown will continue after 13 April but with a weekly review. I don't believe the restrictions will get tighter. I imagine the lockdown will start to be relaxed sometime in May and I hope schools will go back in June.

Redact · 06/04/2020 18:27

Yes, particularly over the Easter break. A lot of people haven't been heeding the stay in advice and I suspect they feel it's going to get worse this coming weekend so think it will be in place for Friday. I think it will be in place for at least a fortnight.
