After being accused of panic buying and enabling/encouraging panic buying on another thread I’m curious as to what’s the norm.
As toilet roll seems to have sold out everywhere or most places at least - do you have a big stock of them normally?

We currently have 18 left over from one of the big packs of 40 from Costco we bought a while ago - always do our big shopping there so also have wipes and antibac laundry in volume for the same reason!

I've got a 9 pack of loo roll! I'm not a panic buyer as I thinks it's selfish. I have been all over the place looking for sma comfort milk for my daughter and can't get my hands on any anywhere! No nappies / wipes in Asda! The problem is the panic buyers are making the non panic buyers bulk buy just by the pure fact of not being able to know when your going to be able to get you said item again 🙄🙄🙄

FaithInfinity · 13/03/2020 23:08

About 30. I buy 24 Cushelle at a time anyway though, one pack lasts about a month and I buy them after pay day. Did the same as usual this month.

Fatted · 13/03/2020 23:08

I'm not saying. I don't want my house getting robbed tonight because I disclosed my stash online.

Seriously..... 4 loo rolls. Two bottles of Antibac spray (kitchen and bathroom), handwash in every sink and lots of bleach. The same as we always do.

hallomother · 13/03/2020 23:09

I do the rest of my shop at Tesco and noticed the same with nappies and wipes :-/

  1. There's no shortage at all round here.
grannyshark · 13/03/2020 23:09
  1. We get a delivery of 48 every 5 months.
everythingisginandroses · 13/03/2020 23:10

23ish.

BeAnythingBeKind · 13/03/2020 23:11

I have about 7 left from a 9 pack. I usually buy a 9 pack as I have 3 toilets, still felt the need to say out loud to partner...Oh look they have our normal 9 pack... Lol, didn't want to be accused of bulk buying. I am panicking a little that I'm going to run out of hand wash though

DioneTheDiabolist · 13/03/2020 23:11

I have 8 rolls left out of a 9 pack of Andrex that is on offer at my local shop. £3.50. Bargain.Grin

Chienloup · 13/03/2020 23:11

Family of five. We have 8 rolls in.

TWD89 · 13/03/2020 23:11
  1. We are a big family though and this is just my normal stash.

Went to the supermarket tonight and I swear it was like the fucking apocalypse. People have gone completely mental.

TheHoundOfWinchester · 13/03/2020 23:11
  1. Went to buy some earlier and all shelves were bare! Had too buy tissues in the end 😐
CorianderLord · 13/03/2020 23:12

Maybe 12?

JewelTheft · 13/03/2020 23:12

About 9 I think. I will buy another pack if they have them in stock tomorrow though. And I'm thinking about saving up newspapers in case of a very last resort

Ellapaella · 13/03/2020 23:13

6, we are a family of 6 so I usually buy a 9 pack every week or so. I'm hoping my usual pack comes in my online shop to tomorrow, everyone keeps telling me shops have sold out but I haven't had an issue with the online delivery so far.

MaintainTheMolehill · 13/03/2020 23:14

Family of 5 and we have none. Did manage to get kitchen roll though.

OhNoNoNoNotThatOne · 13/03/2020 23:15
  1. I buy a 24 pack from Tesco every 3 months. So I've got enough to get us through about 6 more weeks. I may buy another pack in 4 weeks just in case.
nikkijr1990 · 13/03/2020 23:15

It wasn't just the baby aisle, there was also no pasta, beans, loo roll, anti bac, bleach, soap , sugar, squash, tea! What is wrong with people!

Theyrecomingtotakemeawayhaha · 13/03/2020 23:15

Usually a pack(9+)of anything in offer that is not scented.I bought extra before the panic as I was having s colonoscopy so wanted something very soft.
Didn't realize how lucky that was.

LittleLittleLittle · 13/03/2020 23:16

About 28. I buy a minimum of 9 toilet rolls at a time and last time I brought in January I got a pack of 24.

I also buy nappies, wipes, kitchen roll, laundry products, cleaning products, toiletries and canned food in bulk. Mainly because I walk to supermarkets 9 times out of 10 so when I drive I stock up.

BecauseReasons · 13/03/2020 23:16

About 34. We're halfway through our last pack of 24 and bought another this week.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 13/03/2020 23:17

About 20 maybe? We have 3 toilets so always have a stock and i buy the 9 packs when they're on offer so generally have some on. Plenty of stock in my local lidl today, don't think panic buying has hit here yet!

Theyrecomingtotakemeawayhaha · 13/03/2020 23:17

Pasta and tinned tomatoes were back today,I only realised how many tintom's we use these last few weeks.

Homemadearmy · 13/03/2020 23:17

About 40 rolls, but only because I stocked up a few weeks ago in farm foods before there was ever a shortage and it was 3 packs of 18 for £11.

PenguinsOnParade · 13/03/2020 23:18

13.5.

We normally buy a 24 pack for the month on payday but we couldn't get that one and had to make to with an 18. Our local shop has loads so I'm going to get a 9 pack this week to make sure we have enough until next payday.
