Conflict in the Middle East

Why would would you still have pro Palestinian marches apart from now instilling more fear into the Jewish community

Now we have what looks like a peace to be celebrated why are people still going to march for Palestine? The genocide has stopped in their opinion so shouldn't they be at least joyful or if that is not the case what do they really want? Do they want to keep marching until the Israeli state is no more?

'No, I don't agree with him being imprisoned, that won't change his mind'

It might well deter him from spouting bile and hate and all the other anti semites might zip it too if there were actual consequences.

I doubt it will quieten the crowd.
If anything the heavy handed approach is making it worse.
The threat of arresting people for protesting encouraged bigger protests.

What's heavy handed about arresting someone for incitement to racial hatred?
I don't think tiptoeing is going to stop this.

That is pretty insulting, the keffiyeh is part of Palestinian history and culture and should not be equated with a terrorist organisations attire. Frankly that is hate speech. My mum has a keffiyeh, gifted to her by her Palestinian hosts after she stayed in Palestine for a month.

I used to live and work in the ME and think we even had one then many years ago.

It has been misappropriated now by the pro pals, it has come to symbolise hate and activism.

Hahahaha he's not Guy Burgess, he's an anti-Semitic drip from Tunbridge Wells who didn't have the sense to shut his trap when someone pointed a camera at him.

Yes, true! 🤣. He was thrilled that the cameras were on him! The Tommy Robinson of Oxford!

Similar to the Cross of St George then.

No, that’s our national flag. Anyone can fly it, doesn’t indicate anything in particular unless you let it.

Great the more anti Semitic far left thugs inciting violence that are arrested the better. Let's be honest with those views he was never going to be a useful contributor to society, in fact with his violent incitement, UK society is a better place without him in it.

That's not factually accurate though is it? The keffiyeh or shemagh as I have always known it, was traditionally originated from Bedouin culture.

A black and white version was only invented and adopted by Palestinians in the late 1960s after Yasser Arafat started wearing one. So if anything it's a cultural appropriation of Bedouin culture.

Actually that is inaccurate, the keffiyeh has been worn in different arab countries for about 5,000 years, it is thought to originate from Iraq but has been worn across the region. Up until the 1920’s it was primarily worn by bedouin men in Palestine but has since been worn by people of all genders. In the 30’s John Baggot Glubb had the Palestinian members of the Arab Legion's Desert Patrol wear the black & white patterned keffiyeh to distinguish them from other soldiers. So the specific colour of the keffiyeh associated with Palestine is less than a hundred years old (but in saying that, older than Israel), but the Keffiyeh itself has been in the region for thousands of years.

To liken the Keffiyeh to Hamas attire would be like me likening the Israeli flag to the swastika - deeply insulting, prejudicial and highly offensive.

Mildorado · 17/10/2025 15:30

Nothing wrong with wearing a keffiyeh. I've seen it on lots of Israelis (I think about 20% of Israelis are Arab?). Plus you can buy things it that fabric in Israel . I had a nice abaya type robe from Tel Aviv.
I think covering your face in one at these marches is a bit bad though, but obviously some participants must be embarrassed or ashamed.

Actually there’s quite a lot of things in common with the Fylfot cross and Star of David in their adoption by spiritual groups and alchemists The fact the Flyfot cross was adopted by some genocidal maniacs called the Nazis in complete contrast to its origins probably also means it’s got quite a lot in common with the keffiyah

Gloriia · 17/10/2025 16:06

The student from Oxford was wearing one whilst shrieking his offensive hate speech and incitement to violence. Like it or not is now associated with those spouting hate speech.

You even mentioning the swastika on this thread is highly offensive.

The biggest threat to peace is if Hamas continue to execute Palestinians in the street. It will mean that 'someone' will have to go in and kill them (Hamas). Just what Israel was trying to do!

President Donald Trump issued a clear warning about the violence on Thursday.
"If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them. Thank you for your attention to this matter!" he posted on Truth Social.
Asked at a press gathering whether he meant that U.S. troops could be involved, Trump said, "It's not gonna be us. We won't have to. There are people very close, very nearby that will go in. They'll do the trick very easily but under our auspices."

I really don't think Hamas want peace at all.

....not until they have achieved their aim to be part of the greater Caliphate, sadly.

Rahmeh Aladwan‘s latest tweet, in response to Ayoub Khan MP celebrating the news that Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will not be permitted to watch the match at Aston Villa:

This single post has exposed the so-called British MPs, Lords, and other government officials who put 'israel' first. Remember every one of them who opposed this decision (quotes), and ensure they are not voted in again. Maccabi fans are jewish extremists. They chant violent death and rape threats, and the British public is safer without them here. Next, we must ban genocidal 'israel' and their hostile terrorist lobby groups all together. Free Britain from jewish supremacy (zionism).

They have a lucrative gig. There's nothing godly about it. They are an organised crime syndicate with international links. Their MO is weaponising faith and discontent.
