Starmer ought to be worried about all sorts of demographics - including people like myself: white, atheist, high-earner (though born working class), corporate executive for a living. The sort of person who would, technically, probably stand to personally benefit from Tory economic policies, but has been a long-standing Labour voter on the grounds that I value economic justice over my immediate personal gain.
I would never vote for that man now!
And this is not even a "Palestine only" issue: what Starmer has done to Labour on economic issues makes Blair look like bloody Karl Marx himself!
By framing Palestine as a "Muslim" issue, and by generally being oblivious to a number of issues, he is simply showing how utterly out of touch he is.
I mean, with all due respect: I would never vote for the Torys - but voting for Labour under Starmer is "basically the same thing - except you also need to lie to yourself about what you are endorsing".
This is, regrettably, going to be a "Greens, if they manage to come up with something I can get behind beyond climate, or spoiled ballot" for me!
