Israel has bombed the gates of the Al Shalha hospital.

Everyone knows displaced families are sheltering in and near hospitals.

@Humdingerydoo buy you are heavily defending the IDF so you must obviously support all their 'evidence' too.

Works both ways

So many assumptions, so little fact. You and others on here just keep doing it. Assuming things. Accepting all sorts of unverified claims as facts. Making assumptions about other posters opinions and treating them as facts too.

And then doubling down when called out on it.

Fairtobefairohhhhhc · 14/11/2023 21:56

Ok. So live action videos of destruction and death isn't verified enough for you. But israels many silly videos and dancing and lack of gluten free bread is awful isn't it.

Parkingt111 · 14/11/2023 21:54

The best way to confirm would probably be through a third party inspection. Not the UN because Israel wouldn't believe it
Or a joint inspection with the UN and another organisation
Although at this moment in time it doesn't seem likely this will happen

Amnesty International
does anyone not trust them?

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 21:59

@Parkingt111 Yes, Biden should insist on an inspection before providing more money and weapons, if he is concerned about sick people in hospitals. Hamas have agreed so now it's just Israel.

Do you think Biden is interested in an inspection.
I don’t think he’d want that at all.

Amnesty International
does anyone not trust them?

Is that a joke?

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:03

@Readingallnight I don't know! Maybe if he's worried about being held legally responsible in the future he would. But maybe he isn't bothered that any legal investigations will come to anything.

Parkingt111 · 14/11/2023 22:05

Maybe the UN accompanied with US officials
I think Israel would trust a US official

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:05

Hamas just repeated the call for the UN and international committee to check the hospitals. They say Israel and US are wrong. Guardian live.

Stomacharmeleon · 14/11/2023 22:09

A joint inspection seems the fairest solution so that all would agree.
But that calls for a ceasefire.
Seems ironic that the terrorist organisation that murdered so many people that morning in Israel are now calling on the UN to check whether they have a centre under a hospital.
Where are the hostages?

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:12

@Stomacharmeleon They could call it a pause and a cessation of fighting, temporary or otherwise, may lead on to release of the hostages.

Parkingt111 · 14/11/2023 22:17

Yes I think until at a minimum a longer pause doesn't happen then the whole situation is hopeless. Ceasefire would be the most ideal with the release of all hostages and the innocent from Israeli prison

A pause could be used to facilitate atleast a release of some hostages, evacuation of the ill from the hospitals into Egypt, and for an inspection of the hospitals

Well he is 80. He'll probably be dead before anyone gets around to prosecuting him.

Fairtobefairohhhhhc · 14/11/2023 22:27

@Rammer the problem is you can't have a discussion really as no one can agree as to what is verified information. The live videos aren't good enough for pro israel and the propaganda isn't good enough for the pro Palestinians

Netanyahu is going to do whatever he likes regardless to what any if us think or WHO or the UN. So in theory there isn't anything to discuss!

More about the company that produced that Amnesty International "report" linked above

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NGO_Monitor

NGO Monitor (Non-governmental Organization Monitor) is a right-wing non-governmental organization based in Jerusalem that reports on international NGO activity from a pro-Israel perspective.[4][5][6][7]

The organization was founded in 2001 by Gerald M. Steinberg under the auspices of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs, before becoming a legally and financially independent organization in 2007.

NGO Monitor has been criticized by academic figures, diplomats, and journalists for allowing its research and conclusions to be driven by politics,[8][9][10] for not examining right-wing NGOs,[10] and for putting out misleading information.[11]

Lots more at the link above.

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:28

@Puzzledandpissedoff Hamas has asked for an International committee plus the UN. Isn't there a legal duty to establish whether hospitals are a legitimate military target? They have not suggested Amnesty. I can see why it was suggested, but will have a look at your link, as I understood them to be a highly regarded organisation.

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:30

@PurpleCrocs3 True! Might be a concern for some younger politicians, perhaps.

hulahello · 14/11/2023 22:30

@stormy4319trevor you might want to review the info I provided about NGO Monitor as well. They are a pro-Israeli right wing NGO who have been widely criticised, so their reports on Amnesty are not exactly going to be free from bias.

Fairtobefairohhhhhc · 14/11/2023 22:34

@Rammer I agree. But I am more likely to take live videos from people on the ground as more real evidence than anything that israel has produced so far. Purley because they seem to change the results of everything a lot. Or it gets disproven very quickly.

One thing for sure though is it is clear that innocent people are being bombed and now also shot. That is very clear from live videos from those inside and being attacked.

stormy4319trevor · 14/11/2023 22:34

@hulahello Thank you, I will!

Puzzledandpissedoff · 14/11/2023 22:35

It's true that NGO Monitor tend to be pro-Israel, hulahello, but that doesn't change the facts around some of the issues they've highlighted

Doubtless pro Palestinians will resent them for drawing attention to these, but they can hardly be blamed for them happening in the first place

Readingallnight · 14/11/2023 22:36

Probably not then
