Morning everyone

zippys sorry about ERTD

I am shirking working from home today so about to get stuck into iPlayer in quite a serious way.

Hope everyone's Fridays get off to a good start x

CaveMum · 30/07/2010 08:20

Morning all.

zippys sorry to hear your news. Think I feel another Gin sesh coming on!

Another day in the office for me, but we're seeing James Morrisson perform after racing tonight. Should be good providing the weather holds! Madness play next week so I'm really looking forward to that!

A Frolicking Fabulous Friday to you all!

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 08:54

Morning morning

Zipps, so sorry about AF I think you should stuff yourself with chocolate, pate, wine, goats cheese and raw eggs for the next two weeks xx

I managed to leave my bloody hair straighteners on this morning and only realised when I got to work. AF = clumsiness for me so I am preparing for disappointment this weekend.

cavemum you have a good night ahead, lucky you!

garden - I too will be into iPlayer. Flick recommended underage and pregnant so I might watch that - if I can, the tears have been flowing already this morning. I am a PMT-filled mess!!!

Thanks for the lovely list Mrs Wajs

Hope you all have a fab Friday x

LankyLegs · 30/07/2010 09:29

Zippys .............really sorry about ertd. Did have my hopes up for you I don't want to shower you with all the usual rubbish as I imagine you are feeling like shite right now. Just wanted to let you know you are not alone - we totally understand how it feesl. Wish I could say something to re-assure you.

Here.... have some bubbles and I demand that you drink them whilst in your hottest shoes and dress and sat in the sexiest car you can test drive (as a passenger of course). Sounds like the consultant did give you some good news though - sounds like your hormones are bang on - that's brilliant. Just the sickness thing they work out? What are they doing next with regards to it?

I agree - maybe we are long lost relies? I too have a small obsession with shoes and have in excess of 100 or so. Anyway - how was the test drive? Very bloody nice!! I hope it cheered you up a bit. I'm here if you want to talk cars/shoes to cheer yourself up!

You ladies crack me up 'plucked chicken' ... very amusing.

Cave JLo ass? You can not complain!! Hot hot hot!! Your dinner sounded rather nice - god I haven't had chips in months... hmmm Friday... chips....

Crazy good luck with the testing. In my experience its just best to wait to see if ertd shows up - but I know that can be hard.

Flick bad girl with luring us with more shopping temptation Well done for not buying anything! And yes - how did you guess -that was exactly me.. I am an actress in madmed - did I forget to tell you?! I'm quite tall too - 5ft10 or thereabouts and shopping online you have to be careful about like you said. We shouldn't complain though! l love being tall - used to hate it but love it now. Its just annoying buying trousers so I tend to wear lots of dresses and skirts as trouser shopping can be traumatic - never long enough... although Zara is quite good. I get so [green] watching location location location - esp when there are gorgeous house on there. Have a great time at the wedding too!

MrsWajs how is the 2ww going?

Alien congrats on the positive opk - great time - just before holipops so you wont stress as much on your 2ww. Have a great holiday!

Hi to everyone else -lots of chatter on this thread now!! More distraction during the working day.... like I need anymore!!

felicityFlick · 30/07/2010 10:37

mrsW, don't feel like you can't keep up- we are just waffling on about crap (well I am! No offence to anyone else!) so there is not much 'news' to keep up with just some shopping stories Thanks for doing the list again.

Same goes for you moo

zips urgh So sorry my love. Hope you have some nice plans for this weekend and enjoy those bubbles xxx

alien can't believe I missed you +opk news. Very exciting! It must be nice to know that your body is working I remember how excited I was when Fertility Friends said I had ovulated for the first time. Currently waiting for my CBFM to do something i.e. move from low fertility to high. If it doesn't do it soon I will start to freak out I think! happy hols

lanky I hear your pain on trouser shopping. I am also 5ft10 and have suffered the trouser trauma on many occasion Next are good for longer length but mainly online, they don't tend to have the 'extra long' in the shops but have a really good range online. I also live in dresses and skirts and am some glad leggings made a come back!

EEEEKKKK hair straighteners crazy! Did you go home and turn them off? Hope it wasn't too long a journey and thank god you realised! The first episode of underage and pregnant is a bit of a tearjerker but I think you'll like it.

garden loving the i-player usage! After saying i would do my work today, I've woken up and realised it's my mum's birthday. I hadn't forgotten and had got her a present but I had forgotten that she wanted to go out for lunch- oh well, work will wait !

cave have a lovely day and enjoy James Morrison this eve! Keeping fingers crosed for your dh's job.

Hi to everyone else- promise to be good a not a distraction today

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 10:58

Morning Lanky and Flick

I did panic about the ghd situation flick - it's an hour really to get back home from here, so I called the lady that feeds my cats when I am away, and asked her if she would do it and I'd pay her as if it was a cat visit

PHEW!!

Just about to watch underage now... how exciting, will tide me over nicely to a big fat steak and chips lunch (no wine till I see AF though, booo).

Can I just ask - are you ladies strict about all the advice re food & drink when TTC? I haven't been drinking since SWI but I do have a latte every day. Without sounding like a gullible muppet, do you think this is something I should cut out??

Would appreciate any advice! x

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 11:48

flick [shocked] ... that girl from Bristol on Underage, how she speaks to her mum?! [shocked]

Maybe I should go back on the pill...!

felicityFlick · 30/07/2010 11:50

Hi crazy, that's so funny about your cat sitter lady. I would have done exactly the same and paid her to pop in.
I was so proud of Mr. F yesterday when he told me that he had paid 15 quid extra to park the car nearer the terminal in the airport car park. I think I have obviously rubbed off on him as I will always pay more money for convenience whereas he used to be a bit more sensible with money he he.

I think with food and drink that until you find out you're pregnant (assuming that will be early on as you're trying) it is ok to eat/drink what you normally do/like within moderation. So I think that your one latte a day would be ok There is lots of research that shows that the baby does not start taking nutrients etc from you until around six weeks which is when the placenta is developed. Until then it is in it's own little sac and doing it's own thing. I also think that the guidelines are a bit scaremongering BUT that it doesn't hurt to be careful and aware. BTW, this is just my opinion and as you all know, I'm not a doctor so feel free to disregard!

How have you enjoyed underage&preg?

Enjoy your lunch am off out with my mum in a bit for lunch but will have to have something crap like a salad

felicityFlick · 30/07/2010 11:51

X-posts.

Oh she is a horror isn't she? and the poor mum is a midwife too

The first episode with the girl from Scotland is really nice though- let me know when you've seen that one

felicityFlick · 30/07/2010 11:52

PS. Our thread is in 'most active' crazy I think that means we've made it in MN world ha ha!

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 11:55

That's really helpful thanks flick. In the past I have rolled my eyes at pregnant women who won't eat meringue or peanut butter or have a cup of tea, even...

..now I am turning into one! Oh the irony

I shall have a salad with my steak to encourage the essential iron to be absorbed that's my justification and I'm sticking with it.

I am just [shocked] at Underage!!

Enjoy lunch with your mum! x

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 12:02

It's the same episode yeah, it's heartbreaking and I got a bit of a tummy flip when I saw her 3d scan. Poor love... she's lovely isn't she? Really sad story

Our thread is in most active? Eeeek.. I think I'll pretend I am at home and not working (!!)

**must remember to type and not [shocked]
x

pinklady76 · 30/07/2010 13:38

Happy friday everyone!

zippy really sorry to hear about the ertd. Here... have some pink bubbles from me and im sending a yummy chocolate cake atcha. big hugs.

lanky and flick the show yesterday was really good. me and the dp went last year but we couldnt resist going again. Bought some fudge, smelly soaps and a joules tee shirt on sale! hurrah!

zippy how did the test drive go? sounds like a very swanky car!

cave have a good time at James Morrison tonight. I heard that about the shaving when you are giving birth if you are hairy. the thought fills me with dread. Razors are crap and give you a rash and I got told not to use creams and such cos its too close to a sensitive area! whats left?! Tweezers!!

My news is that yesterday i got these god awful cramps just like oncoming ertd. Oh it was horrible. Was so used to my perfect painless 28 day period that the cramp from hell really threw me. So i took tablets that did nothing, had a when i got home and when i got up this morning there was no bleeding at all and so far still no ertd, but still cramping like a goodun. rubbish. {angry] I hope this is normal body behaviour!

Waves to everyone else hope you are all happy and well.

Ariesgirl · 30/07/2010 14:59

ERTD's here. I'm with you zippys. Also have the most colossal headache so can't write more.

OP posts:
CaveMum · 30/07/2010 15:18

(((hugs))) to Aries

This thread is moving very quickly again, we'll need another new one within a few days at this rate!

Thanks for all the comments re the JLo rear-end. I don't dislike it, far from it I think it's one of my best features , I just wish I had JLo's bust to go with it - not to mention her bank balance!

crazybutterflylady · 30/07/2010 16:11

Aww aries that's rubbish, hug hug.

Just wanted to say have a good weekend to everyone and thanks for straightening out my crazy messed up mind about stuff!

xx

womanlytales · 30/07/2010 16:20

Dear zippy - Sorry about ertd esp given what the doctor said at the last scan. Is it possible to ovulate and have ERTD together? Terribly sorry.
mrswajs I used to find the earlier pace hard to catch up -- agree that now it's really chatty How are you doing? Looks like you're busy and that's the best way to be during the 2ww.
Best of luck to all those looking to poas this weekend.

gardenpixie · 30/07/2010 16:38

Aries sorry to hear that ... booooo

And sorry to hear about your headache - I am sending hugs and virtual scones (I have had a very productive day of working at home).

Big it's-almost-gin-o'clock waves to everyone
