SHIT SHIT SHIT!!!!! HOW DO I REMOVE A THREAD???????

maamalady · 21/04/2010 12:50

Oh dear. Ah well, great minds think alike, etc. It will now be battle of the threads to see which one ends up as "the one"!

OP posts:
Ariesgirl · 21/04/2010 12:52

I don't want a battle! I know I'll lose And I didn't do a list How do I get it taken off? MN mods - save me from humiliation.

CaveMum · 21/04/2010 13:20

Ooo, new thread! I will post on both and see who 'wins'

Spreads out on virtual sofa and pops feet up on the coffee table.

Cup of tea anyone?!

Ariesgirl · 21/04/2010 13:31

No need for an ill fated competition - they've taken it away after I imploringly shook them by the lapels crying in a hysterical-30-something-and-desperate way. PHEW!

Can relax and enjoy the thread, but I have first dibs on the next one. OK?

I'll join you in the cup of tea Cavey-Wavey (remember Captain Caveman?). Aaaaaaah

Ariesgirl · 21/04/2010 13:41

Oh My God! I have signed up for Fertility Friend on the advice of Felicity and have actually failed the first test! The humiliation! Does this mean I can't have the promised certificate at the end and put it on my CV?

wannamummy · 21/04/2010 13:55

Hey ladies, there have been so many posts this morning, is no-one working!

I am now late.... have checked back my calendar and last two cycles were 28days exactly. One before was 35 and before that was 28days. Have been feeling sicky on and off all day and yesterday too... should I POAS!?!

Felicity Congratulations on the job! I love good news! Pasta bake was so good, i'm having the left-overs for my lunch! YUM!!!

Kalkoi Happy Birthday!!!!

OBEM - I loved it when it was on. I'm going to be my best friends birthing partner when she pops in July as her husband has major phobia of hospitals. It gave you a bit of an eye-opener!

Have a good afternoon everyone ! I'll keep you posted on my decision to POAS x

OneOf8 · 21/04/2010 14:31

Hello Ladies,

I'm a serial lurker on many threads (aka nosey!), but don't actually post that often.
With one thing and another, I stopped temping, made a lame attempt to restart this month - but then decided to wait till next cycle to do it properly as I forgot more often then I remembered!

I was/am on another thread, but it has gone all quiet so thought I would say hi to you all - wish you all luck (and congrats to those who got their BFP's!) - and ask a little question if I may...

Does anyone else get a really bad headache - like the start of a migraine but hasn't/doesn't progress to a full blown migraine - approx the week after they ovulated (or signs suggest they ovulated - as this is probo more the case for me this month)?

Sorry if this is a little bit of a gatecrasher post x

CaveMum · 21/04/2010 15:22

Waves at OneOf8. Can't answer your question as I'm still on the Pill, but I'm sure someone on here can help.

wannamummy POAS, POAS, POAS, POAS!!!!! How have you maintained self-control?!

Aries how did you manage that?!

Ariesgirl · 21/04/2010 15:28

What, getting rid of the thread? I did "report"! They emailed me back out of pity I think. Here's some excitement. I think I'm ov-ing. Suddenly there is egg white and twinginess in right lower ab and I have a crashing headcahe, and moreover, we did the deed yesterday, despite the One Show's interruption, and the day before and two days before than and two days before that. Must be down to the cough mixture and grapefruit juice I think.

mummy piss on a goddam stick!

Ariesgirl · 21/04/2010 15:29

Oh I see. You meant failing the FF test . I was too hasty in the clicking of the answers. I am a terrible skim reader - it comes from being amazingly intelligent.

CaveMum · 21/04/2010 15:41

Aries if you have been successful I demand that you name your offspring Adrian or Christine in honour of The One Show "incident"

felicityFlick · 21/04/2010 15:42

Great job on new thread EG (sorry too lazy to write your full name and just writing evil seemed a bit mean!) Love the title and best of luck for AF coming. You never know... you could be one of those mega lucky people who fall pg before AF returns... I'm always jealous of those

aries!! How did you fail the FF test?! What test? I really think you'd love FF if only you could log in ;) Did you try what I said? logging in with the weird password??

In response to the last thread....I have NO doubt that you are ovving! I'm thrilled to hear that you think that this is happening now and feel that this may be the month for aries... Promise you won't leave us though even when you have a BFP?! I must admit to having a little chuckle over your thread angst... such a modern problem I feel

Thanks wannamummy! I'm really excited, if a little scared! Echoing aries Pee on the bloody stick !!

Hi oneof8- I think I've seen you somewhere else that I have lurked in the past before I found my home here! What threads have you been on and welcome to this one We're all very lovely If I do say so myself! I get a hideous headache the day before AF is about to start and sometimes the day after ovulation... not sure if thats any help to you!

Glad you've made it over safely cavemum! Have a question for you and pinkie (and anyone else...) after saying there are not many dance classes round here I saw a poster for ceroc... I don't know what that is?

pils still here- pain in arse. Hope kaloks is having fun at the zoo and all are having nice days at work

xx

felicityFlick · 21/04/2010 15:45

cavemum

aries I will never think of the one show in the same light ;) I'll think of you and your secret penchant for Adrian! I'm telling your dh.....

Headbanger · 21/04/2010 15:51

Allo everyone. Sorry not to have been posting - I've been so busy at work even lurking has been out of the question. Hope all is going splendidly with everyone and I'll catch up on stuff soon as I can!

Funny times here: my GP is concerned about mid cycle spotting and odd periods, so I've been referred for all sorts of tests, scans, whatnot. Possibility that I've had an early MC. Currently waiting for the ghastly period to start properly, but what with one thing and another (including 4 days of mid cycle spotting this month, so possiblity that this is another MMC) it is behaving oddly, so not yet in full Flo if you'll pardon the pun. I wish it would get on with it, so I can have a clear-out if you see what I mean. Hopefully I can get off the top of the list and to the back of the queue for a fresh start in May!

Aries dear, what's with the grapefruit jus? Will it help my silly brown-goo fanjo sort itself out?!

CaveMum · 21/04/2010 15:52

Felicity Ceroc is a French hybrid of salsa and jive, plus a few other dances. I've never done it myself, too much of a salsa purist [smug smiley].

You can read more about it here: www.ceroc.com/

There is another "new" dance that has recently appeared on the scene called Zumba. It is kind of salsa, samba, merengue and reggaeton mixed with aerobics from what I understand. Sounds exhausting!

kkas · 21/04/2010 16:15

evilgiraffe well done on new thread. looks like we've already got some newbies. [waves to oneof8] aries you have had me in stitches all day! hope you come to terms with FF soon. I'm with felicity it really is easy peasy once you get the hang of it and you get really lovely graphs to obsess about compare each month! say hi to adrian for me and well done on ov-ing. i think i am just coming up to it too so looks like we will continue to be cycle buddies! trying to decide whether i should try to orchestrate another 'failure' tonight, although i should really leave DH alone as we were really supposed to be taking a break this month.... so happy your timing has been great though!

wanna POAS POAS we need some new grads for our shiny new thread!!!

oneof8 i usually get a bad headache around the time of ov and AF. always suffered from headaches throughout my whole life but only since I started TTC did I realise it was a monthly thing!

headbanger sorry to hear about your maybe MMCs but really good that the doc is doing something to sort you out. keep us posted and hope you start feeling better soon!

LouBeee · 21/04/2010 16:23

hi there, this is my first post on mumsnet so definitely a first time frolicker. I'm going to GP on Monday to have coil removed so we can start TTC #1. I'm really excited but know I'm going to be a nervous wreck as I'm a complete control freak and won't be able to control this. Anyone got any tips for staying emotionally sane whilst TTC?

claire196 · 21/04/2010 16:26

Hello ladies, hope I can re-join you. I've been trying not to obsess to get some work done so been keeping away from anything to do with babies. Unsuccessfully I should say - still been lurking here.

CD5 today - legs are shaved and moisturised ready to seduce DH tonight and begin a week of serious SWI! It's only our second cycle and so still fun.

Congrats to everyone who got BFPs!!!

Wannamummy I'm with cavemum on this - TEST!!! I've just bought a load of cheapy sticks to pee on so I can seriously indulge this new addiction.. bring on the 2ww.

zippys · 21/04/2010 16:33

Gosh look at you chatty people - I dont look for a couple of days and a new thread is created.

Firstly Aly I hope you are ok and I am thinking of you xxx

Flick well done on the job front.

Sorry I havent time for individual posts just wanted to quickly let you know I off to an Hormone specialist and then going to infertility clinc from there (had docs appointment where there were many tears - which I think he found a shock as I had been so strong through possibility of brain tumour etc but fertility issues mean I am a jibbering wreck ) Anyway doc says he will push for what ever tests I need and will make sure I get them quickly

Sorry for been awol for so long and then sening yet another me me me post. I promise when my head is more sorted then I will back more x

CaveMum · 21/04/2010 17:06

Blimey, this new thread won't last long at this rate!

zippys nice to see you back. Hope all goes well with the tests.

LouBeee welcome we're all very crazy sane around here so ask as many questions as you like - I always do!

claire have fun and let us know if you have any "strange moments" a la Aries & her One Show incident!

Got another dance lesson tonight - taking instead of teaching. My teacher usually teaches 2 weeks of each month in Greece but her flight was grounded last week so I get some extra cramming before my next exam on 9th May!

See y'all later!

LouBeee · 21/04/2010 17:18

Thanks CaveMum. Have already had slightly dodgy start as have poisoned DH. He's allergic to fish, nuts and eggs so told him he would need to take some vitamins to help his nutrient starved body to make some superswimmers. He wasn't too convinced but took them anyway - except I hadn't checked and they contained fish oil and so he spent all last night vomiting with severe stomach cramp. Ooops. He seems a bit less keen on the whole idea than he was ...

Kaloki · 21/04/2010 17:23

Yay new people already! Welcome to you all

Thankyou for the birthday wishes, just got back from the zoo, just in time for my baby brother (ok, he's 23, still my baby brother though) to turn up and suprise me

I'm knackered and just know my body will get revenge on me tomorrow, but it's all worth it. It was good timing today, so many of the animals have had babies recently, saw loads of little chicks and wallabies with their new joeys in their pouches. Was lovely!

wannamummy · 21/04/2010 18:10

Well, I've POAS and BFN

Needless to say disappointed but not surprised. Looks like another long cycle after thinking i was finally regulated. If nothing my Monday will POAS again, which will be a week late.

Thank you for all your support girls, DH is out so feeling a sorry for myself until 8pm until he gets back.

maamalady · 21/04/2010 18:18

Aww, that's a shame, wannamummy

Hugs to you, zippys - hopefully they will be able to help you. More info is always good, I reckon.

Hello to all our newbies! I am dead pleased at us attracting so many new people so early in a new thread!

Felicity - feel free to keep calling me EG, I am so used to it after being evilgiraffe on every forum I've ever been on for years and years that it's almost like a real name
