Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

hello!
So glad I found this thread although I am sorry to hear of all these losses it makes me feel less alone.

I recently mc'd at the end of March and we are our cd13. I am finding it hard to be spontaneous with the whole BD thing and I am putting my DH under pressure, poor thing.

This is our second mc. Our first was 2 years ago then we went on to have DS Dec 2007.

Is anyone else finding it frustrating?

gizzy1973 · 06/05/2009 19:51

thanks everyone for the messages am just worrying myself as m/c happened at 5+3 last time and now on 5+1 but am sure it will be fine

Am not telling people this time like before although will have to tell my mum

luckywinner · 06/05/2009 19:56

Ooh engelbart that clearblue thingy sounds good. I know what you mean about obsessing though. I am considering buying a persona machine but using it as a way of working out when to conceive. Oh my god it is too easy to start obsessing. I haven't even finished miscarrying and I am thinking about the next attempt.

I am feeling very tired and still a little bit sick today. Went to my gp and he was so sweet I almost cried.

Hi to HappyBump. Sorry to hear about your mc. It is so frustrating and I know what you mean about spontaneity. Everything becomes so loaded, it is no longer just a shag . Hands up who sits with their legs in the air a la maybe baby? (or is that just me double )

Neeko · 06/05/2009 21:31

Hello all. Legs in the air, temping, drinking grapefruit, guzzling water, eating brazil nuts... You name it I'm doing it. Beats me how anyone actually falls pg accidentally!

engelbart · 06/05/2009 23:04

Hope you're feeling better luckywinner. I was the same, couldn't wait to get pregnant again. Still can't. Hoping to win the bid on the clearblue monitor, it will be money well spent. I can't believe how excited I am about it, it's actually quite sad...! I just can't understand why I never thought of buying one before!

Good luck Neeko. I've often wondered about how people fall pregnant by mistake too, it's never happened to me in the 14 years I've been having sex!

HappyBump · 07/05/2009 09:40

You guys are funny!

I have a confession too ...legs in the air ... my DH looks at me as if I am crazy ... well he knows that to be partly true .

What does grapefruit juice do? am assuming brazil nuts are for zinc?

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Neeko · 07/05/2009 10:47

Grapefruit juice is supposed to encourage your EWCM production and you should drink a glass a day. Brazil nuts contain selenium which can prevent m/c so both you and him-indoors should eat 2 a day when trying to conceive. The things we learn, eh?

HappyBump · 07/05/2009 11:54

Thanks Neeko!
okay, am off to buy brazil nuts and grapefruit .. although I am CD14 ... so it may be a bit late this time round.

luckywinner · 07/05/2009 15:48

Oh yuck I hate grapefruit juice and brazil nuts. Does it count if they are covered in chocolate?

Neeko · 07/05/2009 20:31

Don't see why not. I'm sure a suplement would do the same thing though. I'm just trying to cover all bases. It's a covert military op for me this month. Trying everything but playing it down to DH!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 07/05/2009 20:47

Congratulations Gizzy, our first BFP. Sooooooo happy for you my lovely, well done!! Xx

Neeko · 07/05/2009 20:56

supplement

tattifer · 07/05/2009 21:19

"Beats me how anyone actually falls pg accidentally!" ha ha ha - but have you seen the thread by the poor o/p whose worried about getting pregnant from a bit of sperm on her hand?! Bless

Last time we were trying it was my DH who told me to do the legs in the air thing! (mumbles "after we you-know-whatted, not during.... )

Neeko · 07/05/2009 21:34

Lol Tattifer I'm off to find that thread now!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 08/05/2009 07:39

Last time round I fell pregnant 12 days after coming off contraception, and we wern't 'trying' as such. This time I'm stress eric!!

Tatti- DP says the same to me. Afterwards he says 'arse up' lol.

I was feeling sick all night so I figured it was 'morning' sickness, did a test, BFN. And now I have sickness and trots. Fabulous. 5th time in 5 weeks.

We are both going to do the Brazil nut thing, so thanks for that tip.

ray81 · 09/05/2009 09:00

hi can i join ?

had a scan on thurs and baby died at 8 weeks should be 10 am waiting for a erpc on tues once that is done i want to get back on the horse as soon as otherwise not sure if i will ever again as this is so devastating and hurts so much. we have been ttc for 5 yrs and this is our 4th mc tests all done and all normal which makes it worse in some ways if they could find something at least we would know and they could fix it but they cant as there is nothing they can do. life is so cruel sometimes.
am still in the raw stage and is nice to know that there are others that know how i feel. havent cried yet today so that is good think i am all cried out.

Bubblebell1 · 09/05/2009 09:25

Hi Ray babe, im so sorry... i am thinking of you and sending you loads of

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 09/05/2009 14:56

Welcome Ray, sorry you're having a terrible time. Lots of love x

bardenu · 09/05/2009 15:27

Hello all. Would love to join in. I have one dd aged nearly 3 and have had two mcs in the last 12 months, both at 8 weeks although was told embryos stopped developing at 5 weeks. Am 39 so am convinced that the problem is my knackered old eggs. Keen to know if you can get egg quality tested does anyone know? TTc this month but only managed to do ito nce so probably no chance there. I know I should give up the booze and be healthier etc but struggle with the though of a nun like existance. MCs are just soul destroying - the second one broke my heart. Have 2 friends exactly the same time pregnant as I would have been. Not their fult but finding it tricky. So many difficult feelings.....but good to know you are all out there and sending positive thoughts through the airwaves...

bardenu · 09/05/2009 15:29

sorry lots of typos in that message will try to pay more attention. Ray my heart goes out to you but dont give up.

jardins · 09/05/2009 16:55

Hello everybody, Can I join in too, please? I mc end of March at 6-ish weeks and I was fortunate enough to get my first period 27 days later. Wow! We all know how gutting it is to mc but I've ended up feeling grateful to my body for doing the whole mc naturally and getting back into synch so fast. Three rounds of applause!

DH and I wanted to get straight back into the TTC thing although it's a bit challenging 'cos DH has started a new job three hours drive away from home (our family will be moving this summer) and only returns home from Saturday night to Monday evening. This month we only managed to BD (much to our frustration) on CD 8, 10, and 14: that's not going to do us much good now, is it?

We have 2 DC, 13 (already?!) and 5 and I'm 40 so it's now or never!

Have a lovely week end everyone.

bardenu · 09/05/2009 17:07

Hi jardins sorry about your news. you managed more than we did this month!

Neeko · 09/05/2009 21:01

Hi and welcome to the newbies. Sorry you are all having such a hard time but hope this will be a lucky thread for us all. I am (impatiently) waiting on a +ive opk (on CD 11) but we're managing to practise while we wait! Hope you all have a good weekend and good luck for this month

shyla01 · 09/05/2009 22:07

Hello all, can I join you please? Firstly I'm very sorry for all of ur losses nd I wish u all the best of luck ttc!
I have recently had my 3rd miscarriage and will be ttc as soon as possible.

I have a question for you all, any answers would be most welcome!
I found out at an 8 wk scan lo had no heartbeat, went back
A wk later to confirm and chose to have eprc a few days later.
All seemed fine afterward and went back for check up
2 wks later for check up feeling phsically great.
A pg test showed a very faint +. Scan showed small
Amount of retained tissue, so had d&c 2 wks later. Although another
Pg test showed neg a few days lata.
So my question is because I had d&c a while after negative
Test does it effect me hormonally? What I mean is would I
Have been about 2 wks into my cycle when I had the
D&c? And If so would it have put my cycle back to the begining?

I am so sorry for the mega long post and hope it makes sense!
Xxxxx

Neeko · 10/05/2009 16:30

Hi Shyla and welcome to the thread. Hope it's lucky for you. I don't have a definite answer to your question but my experience was an ERPC at 12 +1 and it took 44 days for my period to come. It was a very frustrating time and I hope yours comes more quickly. Good luck with TTC {smile]
