Hi all.

Needing some extra support this time round as have just had a MC. We are trying again straight away. But I've a feeling it's going to take ages. Got pregnant first month trying last 2 times. I have 1 DC- 11 months.

I want some people to join this thread who are ready to hold hands and help each other through the TTC.

Good luck to all.

mumofbaby - I was told to expect AF 6 to 8 weeks after miscarriage, some people get their cycle back to normal straight away, others (like me!) find it can take longer. I used to have a 28 day cycle but am now on day 30 of my cycle with no sign of AF. Cramps have disappeared completely so no idea whats happening, debating whether to buy another pregnancy test but just know it will be a BFN.

Hello to luckywinner, needless to say sorry you also find yourself in this awful position.

luckywinner · 04/05/2009 13:08

Thanks engelbart. I am sat on the sofa attempting to cheer myself up with a pack of party rings and mumsnet. Dh has taken the kids out. Sadly nothing seems to lift me though.

Does anyone do the temp charting thing? If so, when did you start your next chart?

MumOfBaby · 04/05/2009 14:49

Hi Luckywinner. We are in a very similar boat I guess. I too have taken to biscuits, and my God they've never tasted so good. I have to go and buy party rings now. We officially start the 'baby diet' tomorrow in that we are going to eat healthily, no alcohol, lots of zinc, etc. Boring but we'll do anything.

luckywinner · 04/05/2009 14:53

Party rings are always my failsafe, you should try them! Especially dunked in a cup of tea. You've got at least 12 hours until you have to be good tomorrow.

Lets keep our fingers crossed that things go better next time. Glad to have found this thread though.

Bubblebell1 · 04/05/2009 17:10

Hi girls!

Lucky Im so sorry to hear your sad news. I wish you all the luck ttc this next cycle.

Mum My dr said some ppl dont ovulate the first cycle after a mc and some are super fertile. Luckily for me my af showed up 26 days after and my cycles have been shorter since. (fingers crossed this month is no different)

Hope you are all enjoying your bank holiday.

I have ordered barrow fulls of baby dust for us to wallow in

engelbart · 04/05/2009 17:53

Still no AF but lots of brown jelly mucus like stuff today Just googled it and apparently it can be a sign of infection. Worried now. With irregular cycles, no periods and infections how am I ever going to conceive?! Seriously thinking of booking doctor's appointment but hate going to doctors and my surgery aren't very friendly. Guess I will just have to go though if things don't get back to normal.

Bubblebell have you ever tried those First Response tests that are meant to be able to predict 6 days before your AF. Less than a week now til you can test!

mumnofbaby and luckywinner, am ignorant, what are party rings?! Some kind of biscuit? Feel like I'm missing out here!

Bubblebell1 · 04/05/2009 18:00

Engel i know its hard but try not to google. everything is worse on there
brown tinges are normally old blood but if your worried or it starts to pong then def go to you gp.

i have a first response in the draw but i wont use it til af is actually late. they cost a bomb and i dont want to buy another. [tight arse emotion]

MumOfBaby · 04/05/2009 18:42

Engel you are missing out! Get yourself down the co-op!! They are biscuits with yummy, coloured icing on... mmm... I'm off to the barrel

Lucky - I temp (or try to anyway) - your meant to take your temperature when you wake up each day at the same time and your temperature goes up when you ovulate so ideally you temp from when AF starts just so you start to get to know your temperature.
I log my temps on this website which is quite good for explaining:

www.fertilityfriend.com/

luckywinner · 04/05/2009 19:46

party rings have got me through the day

bubble I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Liskey, I know what you mean about attempting to temp. With a 4 year old as my alarm clock I don't always get the thermometer in my mouth in time.

engelbart · 04/05/2009 20:00

Party rings look delicious, can't believe I've never seen them in the biscuit aisle before, must look harder...! Just about to have a glass of wine- trying desperately to relax and not think about ttc, not easy!

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 04/05/2009 20:52

Hi all, just to let you know, I'm MumOfBaby, but changed my name.

Neeko · 04/05/2009 21:10

Hi everyone. Hope you're all ok. The name change totally threw me! It took 6wks 2days for my period to arrive after ERPC. I had a positive opk in that time but don't think I actually ovulated. I have also started temping. i did some practising before AF came and find it helps me to have something else to focus on.
Hope the party ring eating is going well. I started the prepare body for baby diet last week so can't join you

TotallyAndUtterlyPaninied · 05/05/2009 13:08

Today is my baby diet. I have eaten a healthy sarny and some pineapple so far and I am in the right frame of mind today.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm pregnant, which I shouldn't. I've become very exhausted and hormonal and my nipples have got very, very dark. I also feel pregnant but I guess it's probably left over hormones.

How's everyone feeling today?

luckywinner · 05/05/2009 13:38

Good for you TAUP, sometimes it is just the feeling of being in control of something that makes you feel a bit better.

Do you think you could be pregnant?

Today I am losing it at anyone who dares step in my path. Poor man in tesco who I glared at when he dared to brush past my trolly and then I nearly cried down the phone when I tried to arrange my son's swimming lessons to find that they had double booked us

tattifer · 05/05/2009 13:58

Hi all, Had second miscarriage since december 08 just four weeks ago. Would love to start again straight away but we've decided to wait a couple of cycles (after erpc). Having said that we've been a bit lax about using a condom on more than a couple of occasions - as if we're both willing an "accident"!
I seem to be able to get pregnant but it's just staying pregnant that I seem to have lost the knack for (have two girls from previous relationship). At least if we have another mc we might get some answers as to why.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 05/05/2009 15:04

Hi Tattifer just wanted to ask how you're doing. You are missed and still thought of often, just so you know. Save me a doughnut x

gizzy1973 · 05/05/2009 20:40

couldnt hold off from testing any longer and it is positive

i had a negative blood test after m/c so am certain this is a positive but can someone just reassure me

Neeko · 05/05/2009 20:52

Congrats gizzy Of course it's a real positive. Blood tests are more sensitive so this must be true! First BFP of this thread. You've just made it a lucky one. Sending you lots of sticky thoughts.

luckywinner · 05/05/2009 21:04

Hurray gizzy, that is brilliant news. You are the first graduate. It must be a proper positive, especially if you had the blood tests. Yippee for you.

Katnkittens · 05/05/2009 21:11

OOh people like me! Sorry to hear about all of your m/cs its not a nice experience

I'm 29 and have 3 DCs already. I fell pregnant unexpectedly in December and mc at 5 weeks, I was ok as it was all a surprise. I fell pregnant again straight away and had a second mc at 5 weeks again in Janurary. It took until April to get my HCG down to zero, my tests were still showing positive so had to go for blood tests every 2 days at the hospital
Anyway I finally had a normal cycle and this is my 2nd month ttc, except DH is working away for 2 weeks, only coming back this weekend which happens to be CD11 - CD14 so we're still in with a chance!

I've never had a problem falling pregnant so hopefully it won't take long, I'm just very worried about mc again and all the implications a 3rd mc has (tests etc)

xxx

Katnkittens · 05/05/2009 21:14

Tattifer, your situation sounds very similar to mine. Hope we both have a positive outcome v soon xxxx

tattifer · 05/05/2009 21:30

Congratulations Gizzy

Kat as you say, it's the almost expecting to mc that steals the thrill of being pregnant from you. lets keep our fingers crossed!

Bubblebell1 · 06/05/2009 08:41

Morning Girls!

Congratulations Gizzy.. sending you lots of sticky baby dust. good luck

hi tattifer and katkittens. Sorry to hear of your losses. I wish you luck for this next cycle.

how is everyone else?

Totally i hope the new diet is going ok!

engelbart · 06/05/2009 09:27

Hello everyone and a congratulations to Gizzy!

Well looks like AF finally arrived, 4 days late. Its weird getting used to these irregular cycles after a mc, I used to be 28 days regular as clockwork.

Have been bidding on ebay for for one of those clearblue fertility monitors. Can't think why I've never thought about buying one before! You just wee on a stick, pop it into the machine and it tells you your fertility levels. I can see this will take me into a whole new world of obsessing!
