For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

Did PO(the right side of)AS but BFN - which I expected it would be - as I am working form home today and have to have approximately 87 cups of tea during the day (part of my work avoidance strategy).
BTW I do not recommend reusing a stick if you do accidentally pee on the wrong end. I was covered in pee as it seemed to have collected in all the nooks and crannies...

I will wait until at least Friday now - and have no more tests anyway.

Sorry you had a BFN nunnie but you never know, it may just be too early. if only we all had the stamina to hold out until AF was actually LATE!!!

Nunnie or anyone this site has me nice and confused! so cd is cycle day what is ucl? i though dpo is days past ovulation?? is cycle being the amount of cycles you've been trying for??

usual cycle length = UCL and yes, cycle is how many cycles you are on TTC. DPO is days past ovulation, you are right - i think?

Im ttc at the moment this is the first month of trying, im on the 'step away' thread. Did a test this morning knowing full well it would be bfn which it was so waiting till 28th at the earliest to test. That's why my name isnt on the list of ttc, dpo and all that! im waiting for next af to work out exact days of cycle as never paid any attention to it before. Thats if af comes or bfp comes.

Hi Shirley, welcome to the thread. i don't know the statistics on what your chances of concieving twins are but from word of mouth i would imagine fairly high. Might be kind of sweet though, being a twin and having twins ah, bless.

Ok - so heres a question - when the line is so faint that I don't know for sure if I am imagining it, is that a positive? After the mornings events I popped into boots to get First Response.

I think it is BFP!!

ShirleyC yes, thats where I know you from - the twins question! I would LOVE To have twins - granddad was a twin and my cousin has twin boys... and I am approaching 40. Just seems so practical....
But yes, can imagine it is mega expensive and completely exhausting!

ANyway, hope this little eggie settles down and stays. [sprinkles sticky baby dust liberally on tummy]

Did you get a double pack Pedal? If so I would test again in a couple of days.
Is the line still there? get someone (you know) to look and see if they can see it. 4 eyes are sometimes better than 2. Thats why I wear glasses

pedal grats on your bfp do let us know how you get on in a couple of days, that line will be strong no doubt, along with peeing on the right end of the stick in the morn ing rather than wasting it

Total - yeah id be over the moon if i had twins i could get the whole process over and done with in one go just gotta get a little bun in the oven to start with! Roll on the 28th only 10 days to go! 9 more sleeps to go lol its like waiting for christmas isnt it!

lauralai - i have to confess i also cracked today.. and got a BFN darn it.

really pissed off. mind you, if AF doesnt arrive by Friday i'll definitely be testing again. Don't really have much experience of this kind of thing (being overdue and getting BFN). When dd was on the way i got two really strong lines on the first test. mind you that was a whole week after AF was due...

hmmmmph...

lol this might make some of you laugh, in a strange atempt to find some vain confirmation of pregnancy without peeing on a stick i though id measure my chest as it does seem larger and to my joy it was a whole inch bigger than usual, but then i realized ive never measured them when im premenstural and so dont know if its normal pms growth... pah [Blush] why do we do it to our selves look for any little sign when realy there is only one definitve way to find out...
