i havent been here for some time
congratulations to all new graduates and fingers cross for you awaiting results and good luck december babies

scarlotti how od i find your new thread?

georgimama · 26/02/2009 09:45

Missiemoo I'm so sorry.

I have had two BFN with first response tests this month so I am waiting for AF, I have been completely clumsy all morning so expect it is on the way imminently. I had hoped Met would work its magic straight away but it doesn't seem to have properly kicked in yet. I'm certainly not experiencing the changes I did last time I was on it (my usual blood sugar drops/sweet cravings went away, skin cleared, lost weight without trying). I'm going to give it 3 months and see whether I need a higher dose.

scarlotti · 26/02/2009 10:29

Missiemoo - so sorry for you
Nunnie - sorry to hear that too, was keeping everything crossed.
georgimama - sorry af got you

Hope all you ladies have more luck next month.

Koumak - it's under Pregnancy and is called November Bus graduates and any other November to-be mummies!!!
I'll bump it up the list so it appears on the first page. I don't know how to make a link in this message for it!!

Devongirl · 26/02/2009 12:25

Scarlotti - just go to your new thread, then copy the address from the browser, come back to this page and copy the address into a message and put around it!

e.g. this page is www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/691866-TTC-NOVEMBER-2009-BABIES-Boarding-Now-Everyone-Welcome?pg=27

hopeforbundleofjoy · 26/02/2009 18:00

heya all, congrats to all bfp!

i tested yeasterday and got a bfn. af due on sataday im now not going to test till next week when docs get bk to me with if i actually ovulated this month. im still not feeling great am off burger king and feel sick every morning, my temp is all ways high at the momant.

andi0411 · 26/02/2009 20:24

Hi everybody- congrats to the bfp's!!

Could i get some advice? I am cd 23 today of a minimum cd28 cycle. I have had boob pain and nausea this week but afer months of false hope i haven't read much into it. Today and this is a bit tmi and poss weird I have had a very weird sensation in my vaginal passage, like an ache. When i went to the loo and wiped there was a smudge of very light pink on the tissue( pale ribena coliour). I have never had any bleeding this early, even when I had my miscarriages. What does it mean?
Thanks in anticipation.

HomeintheSun · 27/02/2009 06:34

Hi andi0411 could this be a bit of implantation bleeding? do you know when you ovulated? I have cycles between 28 - 34 days so if I know when I ovulated it gives a clue when af is due to arrive.

I used a cheap ebay pregnancy test (the ones where you dip it in and then leave it for 5 minutes) I had a very faint line which wasn't any where near as dark as the control line so not too sure what to make of it, I've got loads of these test should I just test every morning with these or should I go and get a better one???

good luck to everyone testing today.

andi0411 · 27/02/2009 06:47

Hi Homeinthesun- I ov'd on cd12 so i guess it could be implantation bleeding couldn't it...I never thought of that as I've never had it before. Fingers crossed.

I always use those e bay tests and A LINE IS A LINE as long as it was within the time scale stated etc. I guess you're pg and I want to be the first to congratulate you sweety. When I got my bfp I tested everyday with those e bay tests and the line got darker and darker.OR you could go and get a more expensive one and totally put your mind at rest. Oooh how exciting for you. x

scarlotti · 27/02/2009 09:13

Homeinthesun - ooh, that sounds like a bfp to me!! Got get yourself a first response test if you want to be certain, otherwise I'd just test every day and watch the line get darker
The only way you get a line is if you have HcG present!

andi - don't want to get your hopes up but I do think it sounds promising. Implantation bleeding can occur anywhere from 5 - 12 days past ovulation, but more commonly from 7 - 10 days past. At that point your body starts to produce the HcG in quantities that can be picked up by very sesitive tests. You might start to get symptoms at that time too.
I tested with a first response on 11dpo. They say the tests will pick up from -6 days to af, with the accuracy increasing dramatically from -4 days.

Hopefor - if you're temping then have you been temping all month? Did you see an increase of at least 0.2C during your cycle? That will indicate ovulation if you did. High temps are good, they drop just before af arrives.
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

hopeforbundleofjoy · 27/02/2009 09:39

ive not been temping but have been boiling hot all the time, im usually always freezing cold. ive woke up today with wierd stomach pains so not sure if AFs on its way or n ot.

Devongirl · 27/02/2009 10:46

This is doing my head in! I've been having weird stomach pains, like period, but way too early (and I don't really get bad period pains these days anyway). Also acute sense of smell. But I did this last month and AF came so I'm not going to assume anything but it's making me craaaazy!

andi0411 · 27/02/2009 11:10

Hi Scarlotti- thanks for that. I would have been 11-12 post ov yesterday so it's poss I guess. It has frightened me though becasue it reminded me of times when I have been pg and then gone to the loo and wiped and seen the smudging and known it was all going to end soon. At least in this instance I haven't had a bfp yet so it could be a very early af- it couldn't be a m/c this early, could it?. I hope not. I've had more smudging today- brownish in colour. I haven't bought any hpt's as I don't want to test until I'm late iykwim...I can't stand the 'am i' 'aren't i' - if I am then on cd 29 I should have the biggest fattest positive ever!!!
How are things with you? I want to be on your Nov bus which I am currently following in case I can come on board next week!!!

scarlotti · 27/02/2009 12:01

The wait is the hardest part of ttc I think.

andi - just hang in there and try not to pin your hopes one way or another. Am keeping everything crossed for you and will save you a seat on the bus

HomeintheSun · 27/02/2009 13:08

Just got a clear blue HPT and got a BFP I can't believe it, I don't feel pregnant like I did last time and only have a few symptoms.

scarlotti · 27/02/2009 14:10

Congratulations!! That's great news! Both my previous pregnancies were totally different symptoms wise so don't fret that you don't have the same ones.

HomeintheSun · 27/02/2009 14:18

Thanks Scarlotti when it sinks in I'll come and join you on your new thread, I've worked out I'm due 2/3 November.

scarlotti · 27/02/2009 14:28

Will keep you a seat

Devongirl · 27/02/2009 15:09

Hooray, well done HomeintheSun! x

Koumak · 27/02/2009 15:18

great news homeinthesun!
Must warn you they only serve non-alcoholic cocktails on the other bus....

totalmisfit · 27/02/2009 15:37

well done homeinthesun and all the other graduates..

I'm still waiting to ovulate. grrr....

should be in the next few days though, have ordered 40 ebay cheapies so at least i'll know. DH and i have managed a fair bit of BD this month so far, so who knows.... could happen! so much for being laid back and not stressing myself out, eh?

FifiOK · 27/02/2009 16:32

Have been lurking in the background keeping an eye on everything. Well done homeinthesun really pleased for you. And also to all the other graduates. Sorry to those who were caught by AF.

monkeybumsmum · 28/02/2009 11:34

Hello all!

Am back from hols and just checking in... Well done to all those who got BFP's! That's fab news Wishing you long and happy pregnancies x

Sorry to those who have had AF to visit It's horrible when you get your hopes up, just for it all to come crashing down.

AF due Tuesday/Wednesday for me so we shall see what happens... Have been taking this progesterone, and it doesn't half knock me out. DH thinks it's very amusing - apparently I was walking round a fruit and veg market on holiday announcing everything I saw, in a kind of 'Knickers. Parsnip. Banana's' fashion. It's all a bit hazy to me Mind you, I do remember getting the giggles when I saw the knickers - who sells knickers in a fruit and veg market???

Better go, but good luck to the rest of you yet to get the the end of your cycle. Fingers crossed for more BFP's!

dancingqueeen · 28/02/2009 17:35

well I cracked and tested on day I thought AF due (based on usual cycle lenght 32 days) - Thursday. BFN :-(. 2 days later and AF still not here, but only one test left so going to save it till Tues, can't face buying more! Not hugely optimistic after BFN, although have a bit of nausea, but still at least no AF yet I guess,

anyway, was just wondering, do you tell your dh/ dp if you're late? do you tell him that your planning to test? or do you just wait and tell him when you've tested? I don't want to get my dh's hopes up each month that i get it into my head that i might be, but equally part of me wants to share each thought and hope with him....
