Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

TickysMum TTC#2 Cycle 0 UCL completely random
QwertyQueen TTC#2 Cycle 0 UCL 28 (I think)
LittleOneMum TTC#2 Cycle 0 UCL 30

Do you ladies know which cycle day you are on?

georgimama · 16/02/2009 14:20

Hopeforbundleofjoy, you're on Clomid aren't you?

If you aren't menstruating at all I would wait until day 28 of your current "cycle" and test then.

hopeforbundleofjoy · 16/02/2009 14:26

i am yeah. im on my 1st cycle of clomid and have been trying for 2.5 years to have a baby. it feels like its never gonna happen.

georgimama · 16/02/2009 14:33

Please don't give up, I know how hard it is, I really do.

Clomid is wonderful stuff. It will be my next step if 6 months on Metformin doesn't work!

Then IVF but I really hope it doesn't come to that ..... (mind you my friend's first cycle worked. Second failed though )

Jules Oliver conceived on Clomid her first or second month, I believe. Lots of people have ridiculed her on MN but I actually found her book "Minus 9 to One" really helpful when we were struggling to conceive DS. She was very upfront about their difficulties and her fears during pregnancy.

Fruitpastels · 16/02/2009 14:34

Koumak, I'm feeling all over the place at the moment. This morning I could put money on it that I was indeed pregnant. I'm now feeling more normal this afternoon but still have an ache low down. I should be able to test on Saturday, at the earliest, even though dh doesn't want to waste the money on a test until my period due date has been and gone. I have felt sick on and off for a few days as well. Don't think its a bug as nobody else in the house is feeling unwell and I haven't felt poorly sick, just nausea. I had all day sickness the 1st time around until I was 16 wks.

georgimama · 16/02/2009 14:39

Fruitpastels, why don't you just test now? Get a Clearblue digital (read the instructions first though - I wrecked one by just holding it under my pee stream like a cheapo one!) as it is unlikely to be wrong.

Don't forget no two pregnancies are the same and the symptoms and feelings you had last time aren't necessarily an indication.

Koumak · 16/02/2009 15:18

What can I say I am unlikely to stay away from the test until I am supposed to!
It?s funny but dh also wants to wait as much as poss and then see the proof my cycle has been 30-32 in recent months but did have one 35 days about six months ago so hoping I will hold until day 32 so at least Saturday!!!
Is it really possible to have bump in the first month I know it?s my second but still ? will look like a whale?

Fruitpastels · 16/02/2009 18:46

I think I'm a bit early to show enough pregnancy hormone in a urine test. I should be ok to test in a couple of days. The waiting is awful.

MissieMoosMummy · 16/02/2009 19:04

I've been feeling nauseous and headachy all day. I'm only 6DPO; is it too early to have symptoms?

Fruitpastels · 16/02/2009 19:12

No I don't think it's too early to have symptoms, but only a minority of women feel them so early on.

monkeybumsmum · 16/02/2009 19:58

Evening all!

Hope time isn't dragging too much for those that are testing soon

Missie No it's not too early to get symptoms - in my last pg I had three days of feeling really off colour, bit sicky and couldn't stomach pudding - that was around 4/5 DPO I reckon. Didn't click on at the time, but am convinced it was connected - it was defo a pregnancy feeling rather than anything else. Hope it's a good sign for you!

Am on CD14 today, and am soooo bloated! Can't even be pg yet, so no way can blame it on being a possible symptom. (Might have something to do with the fact that I'm eating for England at the mo )

Good luck Fruitpastels for when you test, and for anyone else testing too! It's getting exciting now - I love it when the BFP's come rolling in (am thinking positively here girls )

violetbubbles · 16/02/2009 20:44

Hope everyone had a fabby Valentine's weekend!

I'm over a week late now but haven't tested yet. Have felt quite sick, tired, head-achy all weekend. Doesn't feel like period pains though - more like a head cold...

I'm worried that I'm wishing myself pregnant and that's why AF hasn't showed up yet...

oscarsmumm · 16/02/2009 21:07

I'll keep my fingers crossed vb the signs are looking good x

MissieMoosMummy · 16/02/2009 21:35

Got my fingers crossed for you too,vb. Them's very hopeful symptoms. When do you plan to test? Not sure if I would have been able to hold out for even this long ...

MissieMoosMummy · 16/02/2009 21:49

Ah, Monkeybum and Fruitpastels, I was depending on you telling me it was all in my mind and to get a grip. My symptom spotting tendencies are going to go into hyperdrive now! I'm really hoping I can hold out on the testing until the 23rd, which is the latest that AF is due, but if I start having a plethora of twinges, I'll probably crack under the pressure and break out the cheapie hpts - and then we all know what mayhem ensues...

TishB · 16/02/2009 22:11

hopeforbundleofjoy wow, someone's had a lovely valentines!!

SlipOfTheTongue goodluck hun, hang in there til the weekend if you can...

Oh FruitPastels Fingers crossed for you too and Violetbubbles...and anyone else almost testing (missiemoosmummy) x x

violetbubbles · 17/02/2009 09:22

Thanks everyone. Fingers crossed!

There's lots of different advice online about when's best to test. Don't want to test too soon but then again, suspense is killing me! If AF still hasn't shown up by 24th Feb then I'll buy a test! Oh, that seems like A-G-E-S away!!!

Koumak · 17/02/2009 10:24

violetbubbles I am way behind you but I know I will not be able to wait that long [sits on hands]
I worked out that the longest ever my cycle was 35 days so this would which would be too 24th but the test say you can test 3 days early i.e. 21st so will test at the weekend that would already be day 32 so the hormones better be there then!

violetbubbles · 17/02/2009 10:35

Hey Koumak - sounds like we'll be going through the testing phase at about the same time, if AF doesn't show up!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up...as statistically speaking, it's highly unlikely that I'll get pregnant in the first month of trying, especially since I've been on Dianette for over 10 years and only came off it at the start of January . It's somewhat more likely that my cycle is a bit screwed up at the moment...but there's still a little bit of me that hopes I'm late because I'm pregnant!

Koumak · 17/02/2009 10:40

I hope it works! Fingers crossed for us all! I have very positive feeling about this thread.

MissieMoosMummy · 17/02/2009 10:49

vb, do you know if you ovulated (temping, opk etc)this cycle? Because, obviously, it increases the possibility that your symptoms are for pg rather than a screwey cycle.

I'm sooo hoping this works for you!

louisean · 17/02/2009 10:53

oooo how exciting both koumak and violetbubbles hope those BFP's come through shining my fingers are tightly crossed for you......! xx

scarlotti · 17/02/2009 21:10

Hello ladies

How are you all? Lots of exciting news to catch up on since I've been away, fingers crossed for you all that are waiting to test. have to say that some of you are showing such restraint - well done - I certainly wouldn't be able to wait that long!

We had a lovely v weekend away without the kids, stayed near my Mum in Swansea and watched the rugby whilst getting tiddly! Why not while I can I figured!
Temps though shows that O day came earlier than I expected - on the Friday - so bang went my plans of plenty of bd over the weekend to hit the jackpot! Am hoping that we'll still be lucky as we got one in before but who knows. As they say .. the best laid plans and all that (literally too!!)

Still, was nice to then do some bd'ing for the fun of it, takes the pressure off I think.

So am now on my 2ww - according to fertilityfriend my lp is about 12 to 13 days and it's suggesting I wait to test until Feb 27th - will I last that long though .....

At least I have you all to keep me sane whilst waiting

... buys a round for all the ladies on the bus! ....
