Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

just thought id post to let people know i am still here.

Beeen BD'ing quite a bit recently, as no idea when i ovulate have looked for signs etc.. but thought it best just to go for it. will probably continue till the weekend .

husband we have decided that i wont test until 5 days late this month as we have been wasting too much money

Hobnobfanatic · 11/02/2009 21:25

TishB - some friends were told by a fertility doc to BD at least two or three times a day when in their fertile days! The doc said you shouldn't give the egg a chance of coming down and not meeting sperm! They were at it hammer and tong, poor things.
Sadly, I've managed to BD ONCE - just ONCE! - in my fertile window this month! Three days before I think I OVd, so hopefully some sperm may have survived - but I'm not holding out much hope. DP and I really must try harder next month, if we're not lucky this cycle - snow permitting!

pavlovthecat · 11/02/2009 21:47

WOW! This is some list already! I am joining you all, if some dont mind just squishing up on their seats a little, perhaps put their bags on the floor? Af came yesterday/today (lets say today, as it sort of glared its head yesterday but came at full force this evening ).

I am trying to get my head around this whole UCL - this is my first AF since implant removed last month, but I beleive I know my ov date (ish). So, UCL is from date of Ov to start of AF right? Also, do I count last month as a cycle, in that I had no AF? Oh, lets count it. If I got it right...here goes...

pavlovthecat ttc2 cycle cd1 ucl26? - I shall add it to the list once some-one tells me that sounds about right?

louisean · 12/02/2009 08:46

hi ladies..... how are we all???

My af felt like it was never going to stop, second time lucky from now.....! my dp is very excited so i hope it happens this cyle

megglesco · 12/02/2009 10:35

Hi ladies! wow there is a lot of action on this thread. Nice to know I'm not going through all this alone! MonkeyBmum and FifiOK thanks for your support. To answer your questions, I was off BC for about 6 months before I got pg the first time but we weren't really trying - no charts, OPKs not even really keeping track of when my periods were! Then I had the MC in June and the Dr. told me to wait 3 mos before trying again. Since sept we got down to business and I've been rather obsessive about it, charts, vitamins, etc. Not like it helps!
Update to my situation - thought I was getting AF 3 days ago but have just had spotting so far. Tested this morning (now 15 dpo) and got a BFN. This stuff is totally doing my head in. Wish AF would just come so I can get on with it

Any suggestions for how to get my mind off this? Valentines pink champers, anyone?

georgimama · 12/02/2009 10:45

Pavlov, a cycle runs from the first day of your period to the last day before your next period. So day you come on is CD1, the first day of next period is your next CD1.

Most women ovulate 14 days before the start of AF, which depending on your UCL could be 14 days after the last one or a lot shorter or longer.

Hobnob, we haven't managed much either but as my UCL is anything up to 35 days I am hoping I haven't actually ovulated yet. Will persevere!

hopeforbundleofjoy · 12/02/2009 11:50

heya all, me and my dp have being trying for 2 1/2 years i have being digagnosed with pcos and am currently on clomid.
TTC#1 cycle1 with clomid cd13.

pavlovthecat · 12/02/2009 13:38

Thanks Georgiemana - by my maths, I ovulated 17 days before my AF, think that is why I got all excited, as I thought I might be having an Oct baby. Alas no. i cannot say how long my UCL is then, as currently, about 4 years? hehe.

Good luck this month everyone.

pavlovthecat · 12/02/2009 13:39

I spelt your name totally wrong there georgimama . I do know how to spell it, was just paying attention to a toddler running around my feet!

violetbubbles · 12/02/2009 13:46

Hey everyone & welcome to all the new peeps!

AF still hasn't arrived yet but I very much doubt that I'm pregnant; probably just a few days late! Trying to keep busy with work so I don't think about it too much. It's just a bit of a waiting game now!

Anyway, hope you're all well and looking forward to Valentine's Weekend!

hopeforbundleofjoy · 12/02/2009 20:07

its my most fetile day tomorrow any tips on how to make it a sucsessfull one for me???

Fruitpastels · 12/02/2009 20:29

Hi there, I would like to put myself on the list please.. I hope thats ok.

We have been TTC in an ad-hoc fashion for a few months,a case of if it happens then great. Nothing has happended so I'm now taking a new approach. Used ovulation sticks on this cycle and bd for 4 days when I had a surge. It's now 4-5 days later and had a few aches and pains and feel a little out of sorts. I used ovulation sticks when I was trying for my 1st child and it worked. I hoping its not my mind playing tricks on me! Good Luck everyone

I do need one thanks! Next week is going to be very long one indeed. Even Valentine weekend won?t help...

scarlotti · 13/02/2009 11:18

Morning ladies

Well the bd has started here in earnest. Thought we were going to have to wait this month out actually as dh wanted the dust to settle after an argument the other week. Since then though we've been great and I've been feeling like a new me - maybe I underestimated the power of all the hormones still racing around in my system after the m/c's. {blush]

So onwards and upwards for us now! Fertility friend puts my jackpot day as next Monday or Tuesday and it's our valentines night away without the kids on Saturday. DH has been taking his zinc supplements to get stronger swimmers and here's hoping we get lucky this month.
Pink champagne and duvet day idea sounds wonderful ... [wanders off to find activities for the kids to do for a few hours whilst putting the champagne on ice..!]

To all those on the 2WW - hang in there and good luck for a BFP!

johana · 13/02/2009 11:19

Hi,

Can I jump onboard? Do you think they will run out of midwives in November with all the shagging and babies who will be conceived tomorrow night? (Hopefully that will include some of us in addition to the whole nation)The thought suddenly occured to me last night as I was peeing on yet another ovulation test kit

scarlotti · 13/02/2009 11:25

My ds is a november baby, and conceived on valentines night or thereabouts. My step sister gave birth November just gone and her son was a valentines baby too!
Must be a busy month for them!!

not using opk's this month - I found them hard to get right. Working full time and needing to poas at 2pm, after not eating or drinking for a few hours was tough!!

having said that, if we don't make it this month I can see me buying some

latestarter2009 · 13/02/2009 11:53

morning......have been going round on the october bus for a while now, but have pulled up at the AF stop...luckily a november bus has just picked me up, so I've added myself to the very busy passenger list

the good news is....wine and champagne for me this wweekend....sorry 2wwaiters
