June is going to be our month. I turn 36 on 1st June so I feel the time ticking 😭 my baby turns 4 in June too as she is constantly reminding me that she isn't a baby anymore 😭

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 10:39

@thisisouryear2025hello!!

How long is everyone planning on TTC before trying to sort some tests out? I’m 37 and have one DS who is ten - this is a new partner though

@FlyHighSky72 I have an appointment with the GP in 2 weeks to get some tests for me but I have had bloods done before so not sure what else they will do tbh. I have privately booked for hubby to have a semen analysis done on Monday

Ec2808 · 17/05/2025 11:06

Found it ❤️❤️

ChaE05 · 17/05/2025 11:08

I would also love to know about testing and what is available! I am 38 next week, little boy is 18 months and going into 7th month of trying to concieve with 2 miscarriages in Feb and March. Just had bloods taken a couple of days ago. Obviously if these came back okay, anyone know the next steps? I am going to pay to get a private progesterone test done at 7dpo xx

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 11:08

@MummysparrowDH and I had tests done Oct 2023 and Jan 2024 - just sperm analysis and I had FSH and LH and LH at 21 days and all ok at that point! We did them early and then decided to wait for our wedding which in hindsight was stupid! Not sure whether to do them again or just assume things are ok given they were then!

Ahh this is a good idea. Was it expensive?

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 11:09

Hi @Ec2808

thats a good idea @ChaE05

anyone know if any of the home tests are reliable?

OP posts:
Mummysparrow · 17/05/2025 11:14

@ChaE05 It was £205 with a local fertility company but that's just for testing so if there is anything wrong then we have the report to take to the GP or book a consultation but I didn't want to pay an extra £200 for the consultation if nothing was wrong.
@FlyHighSky72 I had a whole host of tests last year with GP and all normal and I paid privately for AMH and testosterone levels which were slightly high. I have just paid for them to be redone now I am a further 7 months down the line as I had endometriosis removed in January so I want to see if that has affected those levels at all.
I have also had my c section defect resolved. I do hope there is no Inflammation left from the TFMR causing me issues but no one is willing to give me antibiotics just in case and I don't want to have to pay for a biopsy to check for endometritis

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 11:19

@Mummysparrowsorry to hear you’ve had such a nightmare - sorry what’s a TMFR?
As far as I know everything is ok with me - no PCOS as far as I’m aware, no endometrial issues and I had a vaginal birth with DS

OP posts:
Mummysparrow · 17/05/2025 11:31

@FlyHighSky72 it's termination for medical reasons. My baby had severe CDH and T16 so wasn't going to survive so I had to terminate the pregnancy at 15 weeks last May. Ever since I have struggled to conceive.
Oh that must be frustrating. Nothing worse then not knowing why you aren't getting pregnant

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 11:35

So sorry to hear that @Mummysparrowit does sound like something is going on post that to effect your fertility! Hope you get answers soon

Anyone tried baby aspirin or anything else? I’ve been taking Proceive max and coQ10 since January - might see if hubby feels like taking coQ10

So my plan was to start taking baby asprin as soon as I get a bfp! I've been taking coq10. Just added it to my partners supplements. Lastnight he said oh another tablet...you're adding a new one everyday 🤣🤣
How have you found proceive? I read alot of reviews that said people were suffering acne when taking them. It's put me off as I already suffer with my skin. I also take high dose vit C&D and also Bcomplex and B6. This was to help length my luteal phase which seems to have worked as last one was 12 days! X

ChaE05 · 17/05/2025 12:21

@Mummysparrowthank you for that, I will look into it.
Also I'm so sorry to hear what you have been through 💔 right now it seems like process of elimination. How did you find out about endometriosis? I've been listening and reading up on it recently as it's become quite highlighted. I know they believe alot of women have it without knowing. Would an internal scan show it? As in, would they have seen when they scanned me during/after my miscarriages? X

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 12:24

Ah that’s good @ChaE05what does your partner take? Yeah I’ve added vitamin c middle of this cycle as read it lengthens luteal phase - still waiting for my period here but I’m 12 dpo today which is good! Pleased with that! Haven’t noticed anything with Proceive with regards to my skin, I’m often a bit randomly spotty but I have quite oily skin so it’s not new

Mummysparrow · 17/05/2025 14:10

@ChaE05 well by accident tbh. I saw a endometrosis surgeon to get my c section defect corrected and when I went for the consultation he asked me some questions and was pretty sure I had endometriosis from the jist the appointment. I wasn't convinced but turned out I had stage 4 endometriosis in 12 different places 😬 I was lucky in that the surgery was covered by my health insurance otherwise would have cost me £7.5k

Iris2024 · 17/05/2025 17:07

I’m here 🙋‍♀️ New cycle, new month soon and new mindset hopefully! Feeling really low today! Feel it will never happen a second time! Just feel I can’t be happy and live my life. So so grateful for my daughter just need the last piece added

I’m 41 so I’ve got an appointment in June. We tried for 6 months last year jan-June then stopped for a holiday. Started again last month. This will be cycle 3 trying again 🥰

FlyHighSky72 · 17/05/2025 19:58

Hi @Iris2024allow yourself a down day - sometimes I think it’s ok to feel it! I feel completely the same - try to remind myself that life is pretty great so if it didn’t happen we’d all be fine but it’s very hard to do!!
