Still no sign of AF here - if she does show tomorrow I’ll actually be really happy as it’ll prove my theory correct (that I ovulated later this month but still have a nice 13/14 day luteal phase!) I haven’t had a cycle this long since November of last year but 10 years ago when I had my DS all my cycles were 29-30 days compared to 28-29 now

Af arrived late this evening so officially CD1 AGAIN!

2Sugars2 · 18/05/2025 20:44

Thanks for the new tread @FlyHighSky72

I'm moving over from the May tread. My AF is just finishing. I'm CD4 & psyching myself up for another traumatic event of hide & seek with my peak LH 🤦🏻‍♀️ also.... I've looked on premom and they predict I'll ovulate the day before we go away. I hope this is correct because we are going camping... with kids... and I'm not sure how much DTD will be achieved with 2 kids in a tent 🤣🤣 the thin material walls do not serve the same purpose as actual bedroom walls 🤣🤣

CinnamonBuns67 · 18/05/2025 20:44

I'm joining too. Had implant taken out on Friday, also had a period last week just before implant removal. Have irregular periods so not sure when I will ovulate but have got the tests at the ready so we will see. Fingers crossed.

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 21:08

@2Sugars2oh my!! That would not be ideal - if I do start my period tomorrow as I think I will then my next period would be due just as we go camping…

Hi all, is it a peak OPK if its as dark as the control line? Or could it possible get darker

Taysonic · 18/05/2025 21:21

Hi all.

Officially joining the June thread as AF just arrived.

For those I don't know, I'm TTC #2 (my DP's first). My son is almost 9yo. Think this is cycle #5. Did get pregnant cycle #2 but ended in MC.

Had quite short lutuel phase this month (10 days) so going to really up the health kick and attempt to reduce stress (my job is a nightmare at the moment).

Ec2808 · 18/05/2025 08:43

Officially left the may chat hat a big bbt drop this morning so just waiting on af to start new cycle will not be testing lh or bbt this cycle as it causes to mich stress…good luck to everyone ❤️❤️

Can I ask what sort of temp drop you experienced? It’s my first time testing this month and I’m keeping track of my numbers, but would be helpful to know what others consider a big rise or drop. Thank you.

Ec2808 · 18/05/2025 21:27

@EmPeEfi had a bbt of 36.65 celcius yesterday morning and this morning it dropped down to 36.41 was a good indicator because af arrived this evening…

Peak just means the highest it gets, so that might be different between people. My peak is usually test like darker than control, but some months it’s just when they’re both the same colour. So you have to keep testing to identify the peak ☺️

I’m not expecting AF till the end of the month so I’m going to be hanging out lonely in the May thread for a while still 😅

I didn’t get a peak OV test and I only started tracking BBT start of last week, so I’ve no idea when/if I ovulated or what dpo I might even be. And although last cycle was 28 days, they can be up to 35 days. So I’m totally lost! I feel like BBT might be my only hope in tracking things.

I’m 40 and have hypothyroidism which I’m not sure is even managed enough with my meds. So who knows. This is my chart for this cycle. Not sure if there’s anything “likely” from it?

Joining this thread too as even though I’m due to ovulate next weekend, AF would arrive early June and given how the last 8 months have gone I’m not holding out much hope 😅

@ChaE05 I have a short luteal phase of 8 days and have been taking b-complex 50 that has b6 in it for a month. Do you take extra b6 as well as the b-complex?

@Ec2808 I agree that testing lh and bbt causes stress, as if it wasn’t stressful enough!

Esssa · 18/05/2025 23:10

I'm CD2/MC today. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks in March, a period in April and then this time with the chemical. Yesterday was a super sucky day. Very down in the dumps. Today I'm just waiting for AF to be over. It's all waiting. Never ending waiting.

I'm interested in some of the comments about different supplements and things. I'm taking folic acid as I ran out of multivit and can't decide on a new one. High dose Vitamin D, coq10 but not a high enough dose so I'm going to buy some stronger stuff and omega 3. I have aspirin which I usually start with a bfp but may try earlier this cycle.

Ec2808 · 19/05/2025 07:14

@EmPeEf I'm no pro but based on bbt alone it looks like you ovulated between CD 18 and 21...but saying as you didn't track LH it's hard to say
@daisy2025 I know last cycle was torture deff not doing that again to myself...
@Esssa soo sorry about your losses! I also had a chemical in March and feel like my body needs a little bit more time to recover..I'm taking Follic acid Folavit my doctor prescribed this after my miscarriage

It is so much waiting isn’t it! Not just the 2WW, but from period again to ovulation feels like forever. I try to forget about it a bit more in the first week, and then the week after ovulation, but it’s v hard!

BBT should really help 🤞🏻 your chart maybe indicates you have ovulated but hard to tell without earlier temps. Your temps seem really varied - how are you temping? The low ones are unusually low and there isn’t usually such a big variety (my total range is between about 35.6 and 36.5 for example, although I run quite cold and most people’s is a bit higher!)

bigbird1234 · 19/05/2025 08:12

I also think I have a shortish luteal phase (10 days before I started spotting this month). any advice on how to lengthen it??

Bee16 · 19/05/2025 08:55

Mind if I join you? We already have a 2 year old and are starting TTC our second in June. DS was a surprise while on contraception so I don't really know what I'm doing! Plan for the first few months is just to try tracking ovulation with symptoms etc... if we have no luck I might start temping and using ovulation sticks. AF due the end of May so I'm just counting down the days now til we can get started.

Mine lengthen with supplements - b6, Proceive prenatal - I take others but it was those first and b6 is known to improve progesterone and help with luteal phase defects

FlyHighSky72 · 19/05/2025 09:20

@bigbird1234vitamin c also lengthens it

Thanks @Muddysocks1and @FlyHighSky72!

I’m also planning to organise some distracting activities for when AF is due next time so I stop crazy symptom spotting.

it’s hard though as I want to be able to be alone and cry if necessary too!

Ec2808 · 19/05/2025 09:43

@bigbird1234 Tell me about it I cried all day yesterday! plus sister in law has been ttc too and got her bfp this month so even though I'm over the moon that just made me even more sad 😔

@Ec2808that is so rough. Watching people get their milestones before you and having to be excited is crushing.

It’s the hope that kills you. I’m an eternal optimist and I think in a way that makes it harder as I keep convincing myself even when there is plenty of evidence to the contrary!

My plans for when AF is due next month are big shop at Ikea/John Lewis, followed by difficult DIY/ furniture assembly. I will buy myself something nice if things don’t go to plan. Distracting but no need to put a brave face on for other people
