8dpo for me today, bbt dropped but not below the cover line. I have a short luteal phase of 8 days so just waiting for AF now, so gutted it never gets easier

Muddysocks1 · 04/06/2025 07:06

Thanks guys, no I def don’t think any hcg to have a positive test I just mean the tests always seem to give shadows which I think is just the strip where it goes. Not that visible in a photo unless you squint but it is there - that is a reason not to test early though because they can trick you!

Ttcaftertfmr · 04/06/2025 07:34

10dpo today and also a bfn.
had a little cry and just expecting it to not be my month this time!
going to get an apt at doctor just to check everything is ok after our loss a few months back and we’re good to try and conceive and then we go again next month!

ThisHangryTiger · 04/06/2025 07:59

I tested today at 8 dpo. Was going to hold off but decided I've loads of tests to use up. Thought if it's negative then haven't lost anything by trying, and obviously expect a negative, but if it was positive then it would be a nice surprise. Obviously a BFN 🤣

Mummysparrow · 04/06/2025 08:15

Currently 1dpo and my body has decided to do the same as last cycle and give lovely symptoms from the beginning. Already started heaving cleaning my teeth and was having in the car to drop my DD off at childminders. Its odd because I don't have PMS symptoms normally and I don't get pregnancy symptoms this early usually either 😑
Thankfully only a few days until my holiday so hopefully that will take my mind off things.
@FlyHighSky72 how's your LH today?

bigbird1234 · 04/06/2025 08:35

Sorry to all the BFNs this morning 😔

I used to try and not get my hopes up but then I realised it was pointless and I should just accept the sadness, grieve a bit - otherwise you can’t move on

bigbird1234 · 04/06/2025 08:40

@hollyhocks2Ooo I’m going to do that then - I definitely feel like low progesterone is one of my problems.

@Muddysocks1, yes that makes sense about low progesterone being the symptom not the cause ie it’s an ovulation problem.

however if it’s relatively simple to give us a supplement for a few weeks to get things going, what’s the problem?

im seeing GP again in a few weeks so will ask him - not expecting much though

Definitely!! Worth a go 🤞🏻

I have been wondering whether to start baby Aaron but I had a blood test privately last week testing my inflammation marker and it was normal so I am not sure if it will help or not. My period isn't due until 18th June.

Howspieduh · 04/06/2025 09:03

Muddysocks1 · 03/06/2025 21:24

I don’t know if this shows up once uploaded but it’s like I can see a very slight shadow, and every month I get my hopes up, but I think it’s just the reflectivey strip. I’m only 6/7dpo so it would be very unlikely a hcg line!

I can definitely see it! You are similar to me as I'm 7DPO today. Using the same strips I caved and got a BFN. Not even a shadow like this.

hollyhocks2 · 04/06/2025 09:05

@Mummysparrow how harsh for you having horrible symptoms already! What a headfuck. I think re baby aspirin, those that know they don't need it shouldn't take it. But you say inflammation markers, i thought aspirin was for blood flow? Is that the same thing or have I got my wires crossed?

Mummysparrow · 04/06/2025 09:21

@hollyhocks2 Aspirin is an anti inflammatory so I was considering using it for that as I had surgery on my uterus in January in case there was still any inflammation. Now I am debating whether to or not. I have to take it from 12 weeks anyway due to having high blood pressure at 40 weeks with my daughter but I know there is no real evidence about taking it earlier

peanutForever · 04/06/2025 10:59

@Mummysparrowwhat test did you have? There are several tests for inflammation- i came up slightly on one inflammation and zero for another (gut health test) so it really depends if im honest x

also aspirin helps blood flow, reduces inflammation naturally as its an anti-inflammatory, helps those with MTHFR gene mutation (fyi those ladies should also have methylfolate not folic acid but its also for blood clotting disorders, but yes should defo be used under a drs advice incase you arent suitable!

ChaE05 · 04/06/2025 11:11

Sorry for those testing negative 😔 it's just horrible. But you're also not out until that nasty AF arrives x

Side note.. can anyone recommend anywhere for Semen analysis? X

Will your GP not refer for it?

Is that something they do? They have booked me in for a few things but haven't mentioned my partner.

Mummysparrow · 04/06/2025 11:34

@peanutForever I have actually had a 23andme test which shows that I don't have the MTHR mutation thankfully. It was the CRP test that I had that came back as normal. May be I will try baby aspirin then 🤔

peanutForever · 04/06/2025 11:35

@MummysparrowI guess ask your dr if you can take it? If theres no reason not to then i dont see why you cant try...even just to increase bloodflow (which 💯 it does)

Iris2024 · 04/06/2025 11:38

Sorry to hear of some BFNs this morning and upset. It’s so horrible 😢 sending love but it’s also still early.

Im 7DPO today and trying my hardest not to symptom spot, had some tiny spots of blood on wipe this morning and some ache and pulling but I’m not getting myself into the hope bubble. I’ve got my ultrasound scan tomorrow morning.

ForGiddyDreamer · 04/06/2025 11:39

Does anyone else get real post-ovulation fatigue? I went to bed yesterday afternoon & felt zonked all day. I am only 4dpo today but have been finding post-ov so tiring. Had a real vivid dream I gave birth to twins last night too. This TWW is playing havoc with me day and night!

hollyhocks2 · 04/06/2025 11:41

That's so interesting @peanutForever thank you! Hadn't heard of MTHFR.
I guess @ChaE05 get your DP to make a GP appt and enquire about it himself. Got to be worth asking.

ForGiddyDreamer · 04/06/2025 11:41

Sorry to all with BFN this morning. Still early on for everyone too! @Iris2024 fingers crossed that spotting might be imp but understand not wanting to symptom spot ❤

Yes definitely, both the gp I saw and a gp my husband saw suggested he had a semen analysis. Turns out one element was slightly low so definitely worth doing!

oh my god yes, this is me. Also 4 dpo... I felt like I never really got going on Monday or Tuesday and I'm not feeling much better today to be honest. Completely drained and wiped out. I'm just taking myself to bed very early!!
