@peanutForeverah cool - when do you take the baby aspirin? And why beetroot juice only after ovulation?

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:16

@SophieP89that makes sense and good they can remove it! Fingers crossed that’s easy and not too painful!!

sounds like a plan @Muddysocks1good luck - what makes you think you’ve got slight pcos?

@peanutForeverhave you taken OPKs before? You might be a fast peaker

@DownWithCremeEggssame as me!! No AF yet but she’s 2 days late and tested negative again this morning so I reckon I ovulated later this month and that’s delayed her

@FlyHighSky72im starting baby aspirin after ovulation, i think you can take it before tho? i think some people use it throughout but i havent!

i have had loads of comments on my skin with the raspberry lead tea and the beetrootjuice/pomegranate help support blood flow for implantation and are high in antioxidents

peanutForever · 18/05/2025 09:06

@Muddysocks1no i havent but my neighbour did, can i ask what to google if i want that done? Also i take probiotics so reckon its worth it down the line? Fingers crossed this is a gamechanger for you xx

Of course, I heard about it on a couple of podcasts which I’ll link. Then I took the Daye test - https://www.yourdaye.com/products/at-home-vaginal-screening/?srsltid=AfmBOoqrXelakEl-i7vyDWgYnza32yHP_xY0gAuSvNwRH2cLB72uMcRl I’ll check my emails as might have a referral discount but not sure.

then I started probiotics called “VJJ Health | Ultimate V Probiotics”
But that’s because I was slightly high in ureaplasma, and I read some online info that said the strains in this probiotic would help. The specialist said if it’s not reduced after probiotics then he’ll prescribe antibiotics

Also so vulgar but i hate the next day after DTD whilst trying! I never feel clean enough and then im not sure if its cervical mucus or what but 🤢

I noticed I was getting a slight smell after sex, not particularly unpleasant but just “different” but since the probiotics it’s gone. I never knew vaginal Microbiome was a thing 🙈

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:20

@peanutForeverive bought some baby aspirin but really unsure whether to take it or not as I’ve heard such variable things about it!! Might just go for it or see if anyone else on here has tried it - fill me in peeps - all the way through/just after ovulation/not at all??

ah yes, I’ve been drinking beet juice too as I read it was good for blood flow but didn’t realise it was just meant to be after ovulation - been eating pomegranate too with my yoghurt for breakfast

@FlyHighSky72 and yes i did just to track my cycle 2months ago but didnt try (and yeh i had a fast peak i think) last month i didnt properly track and missed the window completely 🥲 its annoyjng because my DH wants to make a baby out of love/ rather than intentionally DTD just because im ovulating - so refuses things like proconceive gel etc as it takes the fun out of it- hes said he is happy to a few months down the line, but im an impatient woman lol

@Muddysocks1thank you! Il have a listen, i guess il just start it now, it helped me with DS and he stuck so il defo repeat it again x

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:31

Yup this one is basically a tampon that you put in a for half hour or so and then send it off in the post 🤣 so easy! They also do consultations if you want help interpreting the results and deciding treatment if needed

there’s probably others but that’s the one I used and will retest with

@FlyHighSky72 I decided to try baby aspirin last month, and although I got a chemical, it was the first ever sign of something happening. So maybe it helps, or coincidence, but I'm willing to keep taking it! Also taking pregnacare, seemed to make the first month a few days longer but I've heard it can do that and then the cycle settles again.

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:48

Ah thanks @Muddysocks1that seems easy!!

OP posts:
FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:49

@ThisHangryTigerah sorry to hear about the chemical - when did you take it? All through from your period or just after ovulation?

OP posts:
ThisHangryTiger · 18/05/2025 09:51

@FlyHighSky72 think I started when AF stopped, or around then at least.

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 09:53

Thanks @ThisHangryTigeri think I might try it this month - it’s best to take in the evening right?

OP posts:
ThisHangryTiger · 18/05/2025 09:55

@FlyHighSky72 I have no idea 😅 I've always taken mine first thing!

peanutForever · 18/05/2025 10:09

Yes sorry thats correct dont take it when you have AF as its a blood thinner so might get a messy flow

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 10:15

@peanutForeverthat makes sense! Will add it to my regime! Makes me feel better doing something rather than just leaving it all to chance (although who knows whether these things help - makes me feel better though)

@YKM2829I'm not sure about lengthening follicular phase of cycle but I know high dose Vit C and B6 along side a B complex is supposed to help with your luteal phase. Mine was only 9 days and now it's at 12. So I do believe it's down to these supplements xx

Joining from May chat too!

I had an ultrasound last week (everything normal) and will have blood tests on Wednesday - though I don’t really know what it’ll be testing? I feel like the problem I may have is with low progesterone in second half of the luteal cycle and that wouldn’t pick that up would it?

I am also worried about endometriosis as my mum had it and it was symptomless but then had problems conceiving me and my sister.

it is hard to pick up on a scan so think I could still have it.

had one chemical pregnancy in the first month of trying last year and then nothing since then

fingers crossed for us all this month!

Hey! How did you get an ultrasound can I ask? I had bloods done last week just waiting for the results. She mentioned thyroid vitamin D etc.
I plan to get my progesterone tested 7dpo to see thar it's at a good level to sustain a pregnancy x

FlyHighSky72 · 18/05/2025 11:58

@ChaE05im going to order those pgd tests this month to check my progesterone

Thanks!

My GP referred me for one after my first appointment and I ended up getting one really quickly due to a cancellation.

I think with NHS you need to have been trying for at least a year though

Ah okay I will ask GP about a scan. I think when you're over 35 they start looking into things after 6 months x
