Starting thread number 4, can you believe it? Congrats to everyone who has been lucky the last few threads and for those who have had recent losses again or new, keep strong, you are amazing. To those still trying, it will happen, myself included there and we will support each other.

I'll just include a foreward for anyone new who joins us, this is a supportive group for anyone who has had a loss, no matter how early or late. Everyone here has experieced the upset and understands.

Ive gone through the list and more than likely left people out so add anyone you think I've forgotten.

@DonnaWhat thank you. I really hope so but I'm fairly certain it's not good news 😢

Broken is an accurate word for how it makes you feel. I just want to curl up in a ball and hide from the world today.

Fingers crossed for good news coming your way. How much longer til you test? 🤞🏻 Xx

Onthedouble123 · 22/06/2024 14:01

@Ella31 like the same as period cramps? It feels like AF but extra ramped up by 100 and pretty constant not just like twinges which I remember getting previous times.
I've just wiped and fairly sure there was a tinge to it. Xx

Yes I had it in my lower back, tummy, and I kept checking in the loo if I was coming on my af. I never did. Its more than likely your uterus expanding and so forth. Just remember now all of this is out of your control. You can't influence this either way. See can you get an early scan but have faith. I'm absolutely rooting for you. The tinge could be anything. I had implantation bleeding before and none with others

@Onthedouble123 I had awwwwful cramps on my first baby and he was absolutely fine. Very similar to period pains, so much I was in and out of the EPU because I was so worried. Cramps can be very normal so fingers crossed.

2DPO for me, I hate the waiting! 🙃

Figtree11 · 22/06/2024 16:45

I’ve everything crossed for you @Onthedouble123 I too had awful cramps with both pregnancies, and was just the uterus stretching

DonnaWhat · 22/06/2024 18:47

@Onthedouble123 I'm 10dpo, did a test with second wee this morning and BFN but this afternoon I had strings of speckled blood in CM and I've got a stabbing pain in boob so I'll probably test in 2 days or atleast try and hold out til then. I'm going to look on the last thread as I'm sure I mentioned the same symptoms when I had my chemical pregnancy last month, so going to check on there and see how many dpo I was then. That's a good thing with our thread, I can always go back previous months we've all chatted and see how I was each part of my cycle.

How are the cramps? Have they eased off a little? Hope you're getting some good tlc. Xxx

ExTriTrying · 22/06/2024 19:10

@Onthedouble123 really hoping it's all OK for you. Curl up and hang out at home if that's what you need.

5 weeks post D&C, I finally got my LH surge yesterday and temp rise this AM. I had 3 false "peaks" on Clearblue before the real surge on Easy@Home... so I think I'm going to stop using them next cycle as they drive me mad.

DTD 4 times in the 5 window. So now it's just waiting.

I am really nervous that the miscarriage might have been caused by low progesterone having just stopped breastfeeding, as bleeding started 9DPO but somehow pregnacy stayed put hence D&C. I've technically not had a period since DD was conceived, 2 years 8 months ago now. The smart thing to do would have been to wait a few cycles to get into a pattern, but I worry about my age and age gap to DD. Plus every doctor I asked said it was probably to do with chromosones and not my body, EPU nurse pointed out I'd have a lot less chance of successful pregnancy if we don't have sex!

1DPO/Day of ovulation, and it's probably going to be a really nervous TWW!

Ncl31 · 22/06/2024 20:54

@Onthedouble123 fingers crossed everything is okay for you.
try not to stress, I know it’s difficult though x

Onthedouble123 · 23/06/2024 00:20

Think AF is here. 😢 Fairytale was too good to be true. 💔

DonnaWhat · 23/06/2024 00:57

@Onthedouble123 are you bleeding? So sorry to hear this. Xxx

Onthedouble123 · 23/06/2024 01:00

@DonnaWhat yes. I knew it was coming deep down as the cramping hasn't let up for a day and a half now. Never seems to make it any easier though does it! 😢

DonnaWhat · 23/06/2024 01:10

@Onthedouble123 no, not at all. I miscarried 5w 5d last month. EPU said if I was only getting the cramps by the l Sunday (6w) then they'd see me and I started bleeding on the Saturday. My bleeding wasn't as intense as I thought it would be and only lasted about 5 days. I ovulated early this month too so I think I missed the window of opportunity as we only dtd twice in the window (once before ovulation and once day of ovulation) I know you're going to be really numb just now but just remember that we're all hear if you want to vent and make sure you self love too. This was completely out of your hands and nothing could have changed the outcome. We will get our rainbows xxxxx

Lovedatforme · 23/06/2024 09:57

@Onthedouble123 I'm so sorry, sending you lots of love 💝

DonnaWhat · 23/06/2024 12:59

@Onthedouble123 How are you this morning?

I did a FMU this morning and BFN. Started spotting after checking CP so think I'm out this month. Really hoping next month is my month as I would be due on, on my birthday. That would be an amazing birthday present if I found out I had my rainbow.

ExTriTrying · 23/06/2024 16:29

@Onthedouble123 I'm so sorry. Thinking of you and hope you're OK.

Thank you everyone for sharing your stories, it certainly makes me feel less alone.

I was wondering if anyone had any insight of Premom vs. NC? Been tracking my cycle (TTA then TTC) for just over a year on natural cycles. Been pretty happy with it. Got pregnant in February which sadly ended in a MC in April. Long story short it went on for over a month, unsuccessful medical management then MVA. Ovulated end of May, AF arrived 3rd June. TTC again and would like to get the general consensus on why NC always estimates ovulation later than I think it actually is based on LH and other signs. E.g. in February it said I had ovulated on 7th Feb but I thought it was 3rd. I tested positive on 14th so reckon my estimation was correct! This time round I think I ovulated CD 15 but NC saying 16/17 most likely 17… what do you think? Would prefer if it was 15 as we hit some good days! Any insight appreciated.

@LCJar I would say you peaked on 18th, I follow pre mom because its been accurate for me. I've not heard of the other app but fairly new to all this. You managed 3 shots at the egg. I have my fingers crossed for you. X

AF arrived this morning, only light at the moment but that means I had a 23 day cycle. Shortest I've ever had. I presume that was because of my chemical pregnancy last month. Here's to the next cycle. ❤️ I'd anyone in sync with me? Where is everyone at in their cycles? Xx

DonnaWhat · 24/06/2024 07:51

Ella31 · 24/06/2024 09:29

@Onthedouble123 I'm only checking in now. Thinking of you xx

Edited

Definitely all over the place due to the chemical. I'd write this one off and you'll see it get back to some normality in the coming months or hopefully not and you'll conceive 🥰

Well I just had the most demoralising conversation on the phone. I've an appointment this Thurs with the fertility clinic. The info booklet stated that you would meet with a consultant but my letter only said ultrasound. I rang, got the secretary and i was asking about the consultant part and I explained that due my history and losing my sons that I thought I would be spoken to first. I then said my babies had died 7 months ago and I just wanted the sonographer to be aware of this and she just says "good, good. Yes this is the nurses job not mine"

She also said I'm not booked in with a consultant that day. So basically I'll get a clear ultrasound more than likely and be sent home no worse but no nearer. I really thought this was a chance to talk to the specialist and that was what was sold to me at the gp. This is pretty grim.

@Ella31 Sounds like the lady on the phone needs to learn compassion. Will they atleast call you after your scans been seen by a professional? I'd bring it up with your sonographer / nurse when you go in and maybe they can pop on your notes you want to have an appointment with them? I'd take what the secretary says with a pinch of salt. Xxxx

It was so impersonal. I just assumed they'd want to speak to you first. It's the HSE equivalent of the NHS service here. So you have to be accepted into this to fit the criteria. I expected a bit more as you said compassion.

@Ella31 I echo what @DonnaWhat says and hopefully you'll have more productive conversations with the clinical staff.

I'm all over the place. I spoke with my consultant the clinic this morning and she asked me to do another test. She also said can still proceed in July and just adjust the appointment dates.
So I did the test. Only it's still showing as positive. I've bled lots so I'm fairly sure this doesn't mean I am still pregnant - but can't quite silence that little voice in my head getting my hopes up. What an emotional rollercoaster 😩😩
Anyone know how long it took them to get a negative test after a chemical/very very early loss? Xx

It was very fast for me @Onthedouble123 my tests were blank within a few days. My digital was the first to go and the others just got lighter within a day or two.

Can I suggest you get your blood drawn. It's the only way to see if hcg is rising or not. Also so many people bleed in pregnancies. I'm not saying it isn't to be concerned about but it isn't always bad.
