Starting thread number 4, can you believe it? Congrats to everyone who has been lucky the last few threads and for those who have had recent losses again or new, keep strong, you are amazing. To those still trying, it will happen, myself included there and we will support each other.

I'll just include a foreward for anyone new who joins us, this is a supportive group for anyone who has had a loss, no matter how early or late. Everyone here has experieced the upset and understands.

Ive gone through the list and more than likely left people out so add anyone you think I've forgotten.

@Ella31 I have everything crossed for you this month 🩷
I'm doing not too bad thanks, just taking each day one at a time.

moosey89 · 13/07/2024 08:56

Got a call yesterday to say our most recent loss was due to trisomy 15 - so me and my other half have to have blood tests to make sure neither of us are carriers (apparently only 5% of people who have a loss from it are, the rest are random occurrences at conception). The results take 8-10 weeks to come back! So frustrating, we're still trying again in the meantime as we were told there's no reason not to as it's most likely we're not carriers, but given I'm already in a 1% of 3 or more losses in a row it still worries me....

That's good you got an answer, does it help process it better at all? I can understand your anxiety. How long will it take to get the blood tests and results?

I'm doing good @jellyfish2 thanks. Im 8dpo. Hope you are doing well yourself.

Any positive signs for you yet?
I’ve not had anything significant.

emmatcc1 · 13/07/2024 10:38

Is this even valid? I’m already cd14 and this is highest I got at 0.9 with fmu. My cervix is still open but I should have ovulated by now. I’ll attach my opk chart.

@Ella31 eeek your only 3 days in front of me! How are you feeling? Any symptoms spotting or just holding out to 14 dpo?

@emmatcc1 I'd say the test is fine, you can always retest on next wee? Looking at your chart, it's higher than your 14cd the month before? How are you feeling?

I've been tracking the cervix this month, no idea if I'm doing it right. I'm 5dpo now and cervix I think is slightly open? Half feels firm (like tip of nose) and half.feels soft (like inside of cheek) would I put down on app it's firm or medium? So confused with cervix tracking 🙃

emmatcc1 · 13/07/2024 11:40

@DonnaWhat my sex drive is still high and I had ovulation pains yesterday and on Tuesday. Last month and the month before my highest reading was 0.7. One month I did fmu and the other only smu and evening, so I think my LH levels are getting better.

Yes 8dpo. Bfn today but I'm so nauseous. Supposed to be going out tonight and will have to take paracetamol or something. I normally have backache but never nausea

OP posts:
DonnaWhat · 13/07/2024 12:50

Ooooh 8dpo is early to test anyway. I hope that nausea is a good sign for you. I have everything crossed. Will you test again in a couple of days? Hipe.you have a lovely evening and let your hair down x

Ella31 · 14/07/2024 10:04

9dpo bfn. 😕

It’s been great. Today is our last full day, we fly home tomorrow evening.
no signs at all for me, my temp dropped a little today but is still above cover line. I’m taking temps with a pinch of salt too because I’ve been drinking alcohol and I know that affects it anyway.
tried to check cervical position today and I couldn’t even feel it this morning, either it was too high or too soft to notice. Not that means anything for me because my last BFP I could definitely feel a hard cervix pretty low is today the first day you’ve tested. 8DPO? You have aplenty time for a BFP yet.

I'm 9dpo today. Started testing yesterday and today. Bfn. Jaded at this point

Due af tomorrow. I'm so fed up. All my tests are normal in fact apparently my ovarian reserve is excellent according to my amh test. But here I am 7 months after the boys with nothing. It's been so hard the last two years. 4 losses - all of them more severe than the last. Only thing I can think of is I need to lose weight and of course I was completely body shamed by the consultant this week - he made out my miscarriages before my boys were linked to weight completely ignoring that I carried my late twin sons to full term and gave birth 8 months ago.

I'm so exhausted from this.

OP posts:
DonnaWhat · 14/07/2024 11:36

@Ella31 I know it's hard, please don't beat yourself up. Like your consultant also said, it's not 7 months for your body, as it had to heal too. Don't rule anything out until af arrives. Even if it does, we will all gear you up for the next cycle!

DonnaWhat · 14/07/2024 11:38

I can't help but symptom spot now. Cervix is high and not firm but can't reach to feel the opening so will check again later. Small milky cream discharge when I check cervix but nothing on my underwear. Sleeping patterns all over the place too. I had all of this with my chemical but I don't want to get my hopes up. Far too cautious these days. Only 6dpo.

Has anyone had milky discharge and gone onto have their period? Dr google doesn't give me a proper answer.

I completely understand your frustrationsz please don’t give up just yet, af hasn’t yet arrived so we don’t know we’re out until it arrives.
i feel exactly the same with my weight too. I know when I have my consultant appointment at the end of August that I’ll be told “you’re too big to have any treatment, if you lost weight you might conceive naturally” it’s so damning.

It's horrific. They have no empathy and if it helps @Ncl31 I'm lighter than I was when I conceived my boys so their theory makes no sense in my opinion.

Thank you for the encouragement, I'm just so low at the moment. I'm terrified this won't happen and I'm exhausted

If Af arrives for me. I'll be getting a HSG procedure done in the next week or so. I think it flushes out your tubes.

OP posts:
moosey89 · 14/07/2024 12:42

@Ella31 I had that just this week - it's a diagnostic test really, not a treatment, but it can have a secondary effect of clearing out any "gunk" in your tubes. I found it uncomfortable to the point of being painful and it gave me cramps for the next few days, so it's really not a pleasant test. But I'm hoping it'll help. It was done as part of my referral to the fertility clinic x

Hey @moosey89 that's really good to know. I've heard that too, that the dye can flush out any gunk. I hope it has positive results for you. Likewise I've been referred by the fertility centre too , on the back of all other tests being clear, this is the last one so to speak.

@Ella31 snap, it was my last test too (well, pending my other half's one because there was a 2 month wait for semen analysis!). Really hope your HSG helps you too - it's something to cling on to isn't it. And yeah, it was the doctor and radiologist who told me it can clear the tubes too, so I'm taking that as a good source!

That's such a long time to wait for semen analysis. We're based in Ireland, you book the week before and get the results same day.

I'm just completely broken from this to be honest. I'm mentally exhausted.
