TTC after Miscarriage part 4

Starting thread number 4, can you believe it? Congrats to everyone who has been lucky the last few threads and for those who have had recent losses again or new, keep strong, you are amazing. To those still trying, it will happen, myself included there and we will support each other.

I'll just include a foreward for anyone new who joins us, this is a supportive group for anyone who has had a loss, no matter how early or late. Everyone here has experieced the upset and understands.

I've said it before, they don't seem to give a crap if you have issues under 12 weeks. It's a travesty. Try not to worry, I've ever finger crossed for you. Xx

The scan anxiety is real. I think I still have some unprocessed trauma around my last 12 week scan, can't believe that was almost 9 months ago.

The big difference this time is that I'll make sure they don't turn the big TV on until they see a heartbeat. It was on the whole time last time and it was horrible. Thankfully this week has been really busy so it's going by quickly!

Really really hope your blood test confirms you're good to go! I have a positive feeling it will be ❤️

@ThelastRolo20 that’s a good idea about asking for the screen off. It was on for me too & I just had to stare at the ceiling. Sends a wave of panic through me just thinking about that experience. Sending you a big handhold.

@ThelastRolo20 forgot to say, so sorry the EPU have been so bad. I’ve only ever had positive experiences of being seen by them with bleeding. So it’s awful that care isn’t consistent & compassionate across different trusts

Funnily enough they've been great until this point and gave an early scan for reassurance. I think I just got the wrong person but she was so disinterested and didn't even ask questions.

Thank goodness my mental health is generally okay, as otherwise that lack of support could have been quite damaging when we already feel so vulnerable

@Ella31 looks like I've caught upto you bar a few days with ovulation then 😊

@jellyfish2 I really do hope it's a good sign, I'm becoming more obsessive as the months go by.

@ThelastRolo20 I can't wait to hear all about your scan on Monday, as nervous as you are, I'm sure all will be OK.

I’m so sorry to hear you’ve been through this. EPU shouldn’t be dismissive about these things. I hope you get the best news on Monday - I’m sure you will.

@Ella31 looking at my BBT I think I may have ovulated in the last couple of days. It has consistently gone up.
I didn’t do OPKs after Saturday morning as I decided to leave them at home. just waiting for my OvuSense to confirm ovulation but that sometimes doesn’t happen until 4-5DPO.

@ThelastRolo20 ah it’s so rotten to have to wait when you’re worrying - I’m sorry you had a shitty epu experience.. I’ve had a mixed bag in the past and the good care makes such a difference.

Oh wow the first period after the miscarriage has been horrendous, way worse than usual.

That's great @Ncl31 , you can completely switch off now. I dropped the opks for the most part bar one two days ago. Definitely feel lighter without them.

It can be really rough and emotionally tough too. Hope you are being good to yourself.

@DonnaWhat yes, I'm ovulating today. How are you?

The first one can be heavier - if it's too heavy though do ring them ❤️ I hope it's not too painful at least x

I'm going for a reflexology appointment on Saturday in the meantime and watching cricket on Sunday so have plenty to distract me x

So heavy and super painful. I have endometriosis so used to quite bad pain and it's soooo bad. Gosh I cannot wait to feel normal again 😓

Reflexology is aaaaaamazing😍 hope you zone out and fall asleep. Had one yesterday

@ThelastRolo20 I've had reflexology once and loved it 💗 Super relaxing.

@Ella31 I was hoping to see my test spike ready for tomorrow but it's still low. Got some mild cramps so hopefully the start of a spike tomorrow, although at a funeral tomorrow day and courteeners tomorrow night. Hopefully get the fella drunk enough and take advantage 😆

@Lovedatforme I hope you're doing OK, first one is always the worst. Feet up and plenty of rest x

I'm ovulating today. Went along with the every second day approach. Don't know why I feel so anxious that it isn't enough.

@DonnaWhat I bet it will be tomorrow for you. My surge is so quick. Comes out of nowhere.

@Ella31 I'm the same, I feel if I've missed one day then that throws me off

I imagine you're anxious because it feels like you're doing "less" to get pregnant. But statistically this is just as effective, potentially more so 🙂 you're now in the TWW then? ❤️
