I'll just include a foreward for anyone new who joins us, this is a supportive group for anyone who has had a loss, no matter how early or late. Everyone here has experieced the upset and understands.

Ive gone through the list and more than likely left people out so add anyone you think I've forgotten.

Thanks @jellyfish2 @Ella31 it took 8 weeks for my period to come after my first MC. So I should have expected really that it would be similar, but if not longer because of the molar. Every week just feels like an age doesn’t it. Can’t believe it’s been 2 months since I found out the pregnancy had ended

Nice to hear from you @jellyfish2 really hope you get good news soon

Hope everyone is doing ok today.

I know it's crazy how fast time goes but like that waiting for your period it feels like it's going slowly! It's so strange. I hope it arrives soon x

So odd isn’t it, like time goes mega slow but looking back it seems to have passed quite quickly
Thank you - been getting mild tummy ache past day or 2, no idea if that means anything or not!

Just had a catch up this morning, trying not to think of TTC too much while we’re away.
i hadn’t got my peak before we came away so I’ve ditched the OPKs and hoping for the best now. The sun does something to DH so we’ve definitely covered the last few days anyway haha!

Can I join? I had a TFMR on 23rd May so I am nearly 6 weeks post TFMR but only 3 weeks since a negative test. I am still awaiting ovulation or a period ..... Just something to happen. I just feel like I am limbo!
I have had 2 pregnancies and first one resulted in a healthy girl born in 2021. I got pregnant in February with a much wanted baby but discovered at the dating scan that the NT measurement was high which led to to me also finding out that baby only had a single umbilical artery and severe CDH so was unlikely to survive so had to let go off the pregnancy at 14 weeks. Still in the early days of grieving but I am 35 so feel this ticking time bomb and keen to get trying again as I don't know how long it will take 😔
Is there anything anyone did to help balance out their hormones?

Ella31 · 02/07/2024 12:33

I'm on edge. So I've been dtd every other day since end of my af. Working well and definitely less pressure on dh who was finding the every day approach of fertile week tough. So we've basically dtd every 2 days. I caved and took an opk as I've had loads of egcm too. So it's almost the same strength as the control line so I reckon I'm ovulating in 2 days.

Do I take the chance and keep doing every second day. Obestrician was adamant about allowing sperm to replenish and it's something I haven't tried before.

On a side note I came off everything bar folic acid and vit c. Had egcm earlier and looks like I'm ovulating earlier too. So happy with that. But I'm on edge about dtd timing.

@Mummysparrow I’m so sorry to hear about your TFMR, that must have been incredibly hard, sending love x

My hormones went agog 3 months after my last miscarriage (at 13 weeks) and I think they’re just calming now - they were back to normal within about 4-8 weeks of the other miscarriages I’ve had. I think regular acupuncture and a good diet has helped this time.

Im 35 too so I’m taking some other vits such as coq10 and omega 3 in the hope they’ll help 🤞🏻

@Ella31 I reckon you’ll be fine every other day… apparently the key is that the little guys are up there waiting when the eggs released and if you’re doing it every other day I’m sure there will be plenty hanging around!!

Mummysparrow · 02/07/2024 13:15

@Ella31 if it makes you feel any better, I only Dtd twice in my fertile period (one of those time being on ovulation date) as my husband wasn't feeling well ,when I got pregnant last and my sister in law got pregnant dtd once. I echo letting the sperm replenish and being of good quality. Bad quality sperm could lead to disappointment or worse a miscarriage.
You are dtd a lot more then I ever did 😂

So sorry for loss and thank you for the advice.

If it was me and I can only speak from my own experience. I wouldn't take anything and let your body balance out naturally. I know because I've been the same, you want nothing more than to get back on track but your body is telling you it needs time as well. It took 9 weeks after losing my twins at birth to get ovulation and period. 8 for my chemical and miscarriage before my twins. So it can take its time.

I hope you don't think I'm being pushy, I just recognise the pain and the want to feel normal again but I think it's only this month I've realised the pressure I've been putting on myself. As you said you are grieving. So be good to yourself. Eating good food, exercise and folic acid. That's all you need. Pm any time. And again I'm so sorry about your TFMR. Its so unfair

@Ella31 so sorry for your loss, I can't even start to understand how loss of twins at birth feels like.
I have been taking pregnacare before conception since I lost my baby but I don't wonder if that could hinder rather than help 🤔
I have ballooned in weight since the TFMR with the heat. I did have a week's holiday but I put on loads more then I normally would and I didn't eat incredibly badly. I can only assume the hormonal imbalance ist helping. I am eating healthy and walking up to 10k so hopefully it helps in the long run

jellyfish2 · 02/07/2024 13:51

Has anyone ever had sickness at around 7dpo? I had to run to the toilet I had a sudden feeling I was going to be sick in work. I managed to hold bacj and was only coughing over the toilet but wasn't actually sick. Never had this and I'm not sure if it's just wishful thinking that it could be pregnancy related.

ThelastRolo20 · 02/07/2024 14:13

@Ella31 every other day is spot on 🙂 gives time for healthy sperm to reproduce and you'll either hit the day before or ovulation day itself which is going to give you the best chance anyway.

Really happy that ovulation has come sooner for you - hopefully that's a good sign ❤️

I'm sure pregnacare is perfect. Loads of women take it, I'm talking about herbs and random stuff that people can tell you to take. Let your body do that job.

Aw don't be hard on yourself regarding weight. You've been through a lot. I'm the same. I've started the gym now and just eating clean for the most part.

@Ella31 agree with the others, I think you are well covered doing every other day. But totally get why you are anxious about that

@Mummysparrow so sorry for what you have been through

@jellyfish2 dont want to get your hopes up but before I found out I was pregnant with last pregnancy, I felt so sick one day. Wasn’t actually sick but it came over me all of a sudden & lasted about 30 mins. I got a faint positive not long after. Not sure how many dpo I was though

What cd is this for you? Good ovulation is coming sooner for you. You should keep going with the approach of every couple of days and see if that works. Like everyone has said that's plenty anyway 😊

Cycle day 17. Can you believe it. I mean I was climbing towards cycle day 26 last month ovulation wise. This month I started getting egcm around day 11 as opposed to day 22 last month

That's great you're on cd17! I think I'll try the same as you next month and ditch the fancy supplements if unsuccessful this month.

At 7DPO it could be related! I hope you feel nauseous over the next few days, in a nice way 😂

@jellyfish2 i think we cross posted earlier - i felt sick a few days before getting my early positive last time. Not sure what dpo i was but I think it must have been related as it was an intense sickness i felt!

Onthedouble123 · 02/07/2024 19:29

Hope everyone is okay. I'm still here lurking in the background trying to keep myself sane. Did another test today as it's been a good while since my bleeding stopped so thought, if it's negative or really faint, then I'd know it wasn't good news and get out of limbo.
It's actually really dark- stronger than the control. Which I'm taking as a good sign for right now. Not getting ahead of ourselves though. Just plodding on hour to hour really. Scan next week... Xx
