Starting thread number 4, can you believe it? Congrats to everyone who has been lucky the last few threads and for those who have had recent losses again or new, keep strong, you are amazing. To those still trying, it will happen, myself included there and we will support each other.

I'll just include a foreward for anyone new who joins us, this is a supportive group for anyone who has had a loss, no matter how early or late. Everyone here has experieced the upset and understands.

Ive gone through the list and more than likely left people out so add anyone you think I've forgotten.

Same! Fertile week is never exactly fun after a while is it 😅

@Figtree11 @ThelastRolo20 we're (excuse my French and puns) screwed either way aren't we 🤣😅😅 you are wrecked going at it all fertile week or bored every other day 😁😆🤣🤣

@Ella31 @ThelastRolo20 😂😂 yep that sums it up!

Ella31 · 30/06/2024 13:29

How is everyone today. I'm cycle day 15. Getting cm the last few days so I reckon ovulation could be early. Definitely feel better being off everything bar folic acid.

@Ella31 I’ve everything crossed for you that this will be a good month.

No news from me, still waiting on sign off from the hospital, and awaiting my first period still. It’s been over 8 weeks now since surgery. But I’m feeling a little better in myself even with this waiting

You sound better. You've had a very tough time. I just took a look at the month i had my chemical. No ovulation or period for 9 and a half weeks and I didn't get my period obviously after that as I got pregnant with my boys. So considering you had a molar I'm positive that's all normal.

You seem good this week. Think of this now as a new chapter. I've a good feeling this will be a lucky year for us

@Ella31 thank you. I feel like I needed to get myself in a more positive mindset. Sometimes you just need to lean into the sadness as feels impossible to think any differently. But now I’m trying to hold onto the bit of hope I have for the future.
Thanks for sharing about your cycles - I feel like everything I read is that people get their cycles back quite quickly, so I’m glad to hear you had a similar timeline to me. My hcg levels are officially at zero now, so hopefully my period will arrive in the next couple of weeks.
How are you feeling about this cycle?

emmatcc1 · 30/06/2024 16:48

I took a break from MN for a month and another failed cycle. I’m cd1 today of cycle 6. If this one fails again we might seek some help.

People online only post the best and worst scenarios so don't worry. Yep, after 2 mcs, earliest I had it back was 9 weeks and after my sons birth just under 9 so you can see it varies.

Im completely winging this cycle. No opks and dtd every other day so I'm less fixated for sure

Hi Ladies, Happy Sunday! cd7 now and first day period free. Premom is saying in straight into high fertility so hoping to jump his bones later 😆. I'm currently on pregnacare for conception and I have about a week left. Would you ladies recommend staying on them or maybe jump ship to another brand? It has all the ingredients I've seen mentioned when the question has been asked before.

How are you you lovely ladies, baby dust to you all this month.

So nice to see you again. There's no harm in getting checked out but after losses and so forth 6 months is probably only happening because you've been through a lot.

My obestrician told me on Friday not to even count the first few months after giving birth to my late boys as months because of the stress and trauma. I'd say the same with a mc. It's so hard. I'm going into month 7 so I'll happily link with you through this and hopefully this is our month. I've actually gone cold turkey and thrown away the opks am dtd every other day

Loads of women take it so I'd say dont switch half way through your month. I have read it can lengthen your cycle but that's not a bad thing, just don't panic if you ovulate later or come on later. Hopefully it will be a bfp and you won't come on.

@Ella31 I'm 5dpo after ovulating 10 days late!

@Figtree11 my period took 6 and a half weeks but I read others who were almost 12! Even then mine was so light it wasn't really like a period. It'll just take some time 🩷
@emmatcc1 was it Feb you had your mc too? Sorry I can't remember exactly. If my period arrives it'll be about a 40 day cycle which is not normal for me so I might contact the GP. It's so disheartening isn't it. Hope you're ok x

Fingers crossed @jellyfish2
My period was 36 days last month, I usually 31 or 32. It's bad enough not conceiving never mind tracking isn't it.

How are you feeling about this month @jellyfish2

@Ella31 it really is, I'm not sure what would cause such a delay? I think like probably a lot of ladies here just constantly worry something is wrong. We dtd day of peak, suspected ovulation day and the day after so I hope for the best but who knows. I feel like I don't want to think positive as it's been such a disappointment over the last couple of months. I'll update anyway! X

emmatcc1 · 30/06/2024 18:47

@Ella31 Yeah I know I defined can’t count the first month because I ovulated when I was still spotting from mc, second month I ovulated a week late. This last cycle has been so relaxed I only did opks and bbt to confirm ovulation and I didn’t even symptom spot.
@jellyfish2 Yes I had a mc in February.

If it makes you feel better about looking into testing. I had testing done last week. Came back perfect and they referenced my grief as a barrier. I'm sure you are the same with having had a loss. Mc throws the body out of whack with cycles. But I would tell everyone if they are worried, get a test. It might relieve any anxieties. My obestrician said he has discounted at least 4 months of my 6 months trying after 2 mcs, stillbirth and neonatal death in 18 months. And I've no doubt after a recent mc he'd say your body @jellyfish2 is recovering. So don't be hard on yourself. I'm with you this cycle. Fingers crossed.

Definitely. And even when we think we are relaxed we probably aren't. This journey is fraught with tension and longing, so even when we think we aren't thinking about it, we are.

Hugs to you anyway. It's nice to see you back here and I hope it's a bfp soon for you xx

@DonnaWhat Yeah Accupuncture is so good I really rate it. . It’s so relaxing and really interesting too what they can do. I had something called Moxa last week which she said stops spotting in the luteal phase pretty much straight away! I’ve started a vitamin called ovum which seems to get a lot of shout outs from fertility experts… it’s for coq10 in too (expensive but I’m throwing the kitchen sink at it atm!)

@Ella31 thank you lovely, how are you doing? I think ditching the OPKs is a great idea… since we’ve pressed pause whilst having tears my spotting in second half of cycle has gone right down and I’m convinced it’s because I’m not actively tracking, testing etc

Blueskies4 · 30/06/2024 22:10

*tests not tears!

@Ella31 feeling pretty good… I’m just going into the luteal phase now. Hoping it’s a decent cycle (I started spotting last July from ovulation right through to my period and was having shorter cycles too - so far no answers on why). How are you doing?

Our cycles are so mysterious aren't they. Anything can tip them. Oh best of luck. When will you test. I'm purposely not buying any this month and will try to get to 10dpo.

Have any of you tried the Mucinex (guaifenesin) method? It comes from the US where many women said it worked for them... 🤔 I believe only one small study looked into this but the rest is really anecdotal.

I work in pharma (clinical trials) so I know the importance of clinical data vs claims on social media, but interestingly when it comes to TTC I lose all my good judgement and am willing to try anything... 🤯

Blueskies4 · 01/07/2024 10:34

@Ella31 we’ve not been trying this month (still waiting on some results) so only had unprotected sex once (I think near ovulation but not with the aim of conceiving!) so I don’t think I’ll be testing at all, just expecting my period and hoping it’ll come around the 28 day mark rather than super early! but I’m with you on holding out as long as possible! It’s quite impossible though isn’t it and I almost think you spend so much time second guessing symptoms you may as well just test! Good luck to you 🙏🏼
