I went to reply and you were right, the thread was full so I couldnt post a link to a new thread, also, because it's a new thread it wont give me a prediction to tag when I type a name, so I have just copied and paste the names off of everyone who posted on the very last page of the thread, I hope anyone else can find it OK. Sorry, maybe there is an easier better way... if anyone else can remember extra names and spellings, please tag 🙂

@UrsulaSings123 I'm due on the 6th or 7th I think. Are you an early tester?

Yeah, I've stopped tracking my BBT and stopped OPKs (other than once or twice which was a huge improvement 😅) and I'm really surprised at how I'm finding it. I'm a huge control freak so I thought I liked all the data but I think it was just feeding my obsession as I was spending hours every day starting at my charts and photos of my OPKs and getting really upset if my temperature wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be etc. I didn't think I'd be able to stop but so far I'm finding it quite helpful. Have you always tracked or have you just started?

Yes I start testing around 9/10 dpo which is so early I know but hey ho. I actually only started tracking BBT this cycle, but already I could tell the charts were making me so obsessed and a lot of how I felt was based on a .2 degree change. I knew id be obsessed with it leading up to my period so I decided to stop and I feel better for it. I think I'll track just to 'confirm' ovulation and then leave it for the rest of the cycle. Ive used opks for a while and plan on carrying on with that. When I was TTC a few years ago using an app to track ovulation, I started using opks and realised I was ovulating outside the usual 'window' in the tracker and have used them since then.

When do you normally test?

Ladyinpink1 · 25/03/2024 22:13

@13lucy I'm sorry you are feeling low and it's frustraring when ovulation doesn't come when you expect, especially when you want so badly to be pregnant again. I have heard illness can delay ovulation also so hopefully it happens soon x

That's encouraging to know @Bugdem123 I put my thermometer and my opks away, feeling good about it so far... ask me again around my fertile time though lol x

I'm so sorry @moosey89 the negatives are just awful, hope af arrives soon so you can get onto a fresh new cycle, sending a hug. August will be the year for me too, I hope very much we don't reach that stage without a bfp. Just ready your next message about your appointment, I'm glad all went well and that's good there is no cause (although I'm sure a part of you would like to know the cause) what I mean is, no reason why next baby won't stick x

@jellyfish2 that's a definite positive with colour in the line so I would say it's not an evap and a great line for a 2 hour hold... congratulations x

@samilicious I'm good thank you hun, had a busy day today. How are you doing? I am also completely forgetting my CD, deliberately, what a change this cycle will be from the past year and a half of constant tracking, it feels good so far. Let's see how it works out (for @Bugdem123 also) x

Hi everyone! It's been a while since I last checked in and I've only just seen the new thread. Wow! I've missed so much! Massive congratulations to all the recent BFPs - wonderful news. 💗

Hope everyone else is doing ok. You're such a fantastic group of women and I'm so hoping to see lots more BFPs in the near future.

Trigger warning - pregnancy update below

Hopefully all is still progressing well here. Can't quite believe it but I'm 20wks today. Got my big scan coming up in a few days and a bit nervous but it's definitely feeling more real now. It's also the exact time of year that my MMC stopped developing last year, although I didn't find out until mid-April, so this whole period is quite bittersweet and surreal (and a weird superstitious part of me felt weirdly anxious about being at these dates in the year, even though this pregnancy is further on), simultaneously wondering what that parallel life would have been like, and also feeling incredibly lucky to be where I now am.

Sending big hugs to everyone.

HerbaceousPerennial · 26/03/2024 07:42

@SnookyPook lovely news and so good to have an update! You were posting a lot when I had my miscarriage last year and I took a lot of comfort from your words at the time. Everything crossed for you for next week and sure it will all be well. My due date is coming up and it is tough thinking about that parallel life

Bugdem123 · 26/03/2024 08:26

@UrsulaSings123 I'm also an early tester 🤦🏻‍♀️ I got a positive test on 9DPO in my first pregnancy so it's very hard to resist the urge! My therapist has suggested waiting until later on to see if it can minimise how upset I get but I can't see it happening.

@Ladyinpink1 it was definitely hard around ovulation and I did cave and do one or two OPKs but I do think not tracking my temp has made the biggest difference. It was setting the tone for my whole day which is just madness as it could have been off for a whole bunch of reasons. Hopefully we can be one of those people that day "oh I just relaxed and it happened for me" 😂

@SnookyPook it's so lovely to hear from you and how amazing that you're so far along already! You've given me such comfort and hope along this journey and it's so nice to see how you're getting on. Totally with you on the parallel life thing - it's hard to think I could have been finishing up for mat leave this week!

Wise0wl · 26/03/2024 10:36

Hello - I've set up a grad thread. Not because those of us with bfps won't check in (I will always lurk, I'm so invested in your journeys and you've all played a huge part in mine - plus I may well end up here again depending on the outcome of this pregnancy...) but conscious this has been a lucky thread so far, there are lots of bfps, and it's nice to have a designated space for those pregnancy updates. Please please do check in as and when you want to - this isn't meant to be exclusionary in any way ❤

Grad thread: TTC after loss carry on | Mumsnet

Hello all, I just thought I'd set up a grad thread from our TTC threads, now there are quite a few people with their bfps so that we can keep in touc...

ThelastRolo20 · 26/03/2024 11:18

So it's my second proper period following surgery and it's day 9 and STILL going. Just spotting/ a bit mucusy but is this normal? I'm not trying this month but it's slightly out the norm for me. It was normal otherwise!

Confusedandtired90 · 26/03/2024 14:18

13lucy · 24/03/2024 09:10

Thanks all, just really starting to lose hope and my life still feels on hold until I'm pregnant again.

@Wise0wlI'm on CD21 but usually ovulate by CD19. I've also had it delay ovulation in the past but never had LH peak without temp rise.

@samilicious I hope so too. Last year I didn't have a period for 3 months so assume that's just super delayed ovulation. I've heard of people getting an anovulatory cycle where they don't ovulate but get a period. Not happened to me before though! Longer cycles are so tiring with DTD though!

@Bugdem123 let's hope so, although I usually get a shift the day after peak. It's so disheartening isn't it and I'm feeling like such a failure. I really hope it works out for you this cycle! It's good that tracking less has been helping you, it can be a bit intense can't it! I've done my own version of this which is taking my heart rate and HRV off my watch so I can't see it!

If it helps @13lucy I am an absolute DEMON for BBT checking and was really disheartened this month when I had a positive LH but my temps made it look like I hadn't ovulated.

I've been having a monitored cycle an was convinced that the progesterone test would come back as saying that I hadn't ovulated but it had. So BBTs aren't the be all and end all 😅

Confusedandtired90 · 26/03/2024 14:25

I have never really had any spotting before but I have had it daily for almost a week now (11 dpo I think?!).

Has anyone had this before? I did a test on Sunday and got a BFN. I don't have any other symptoms - v strange.

Imagine that if anything it might be a chemical? I've only ever had MCs so haven't dealt with a chemical before.

UrsulaSings123 · 26/03/2024 15:29

@Bugdem123 that must be hard knowing you'd be finishing for mat leave. I hate the whole parallel life thing. I'm 6dpo today and just resisted the urge to test as it's the afternoon and I've just drank loads so god knows why it even popped into my head as it would be totally pointless. I'm really dreading seeing the negative. I almost wish I could stop hoping but it's hard not to.

@jellyfish2 how are you doing since your positive test?

@Confusedandtired90 @ThelastRolo20 I've never experienced those things, sorry. I've never had spotting or very long periods, but who knows what will happen this month as it'll be my first period following MC. The last loss I had was about 4/5 years ago and as far as I remember I bled for like 7 weeks then my periods went straight back to normal.

ThelastRolo20 · 26/03/2024 15:33

@UrsulaSings123 thanks love. To be honest mine are normally 7 days anyway so a bit of worry shouldn't be too weird I guess! It's like my body stops then goes "nope! Bit more" 😂

It has another month to sort itself out in any case

jellyfish2 · 26/03/2024 16:15

@UrsulaSings123 I've been bleeding constantly since so I haven't even done another test as it's just like a period now but not as heavy. If it was a chemical would there be clots? Could the frer have been a false positive? I really wish I hadn't tested.

UrsulaSings123 · 26/03/2024 16:34

@ThelastRolo20 well I hope its all back to normal for you next month.

@jellyfish2 I think if it is a chemical then there are no clots, its just like a period, but I've never had one (as far as I know) so I don't know. I don't think preg tests tend to have false positives. It must be very upsetting for you, especially straight off the back of a MC. I'm so sorry 😥

ThelastRolo20 · 26/03/2024 16:39

@jellyfish2 I'm so sorry you're going through this ❤️ I've never had a chemical so can't advise but we're here for you x

jellyfish2 · 26/03/2024 17:05

@UrsulaSings123 @ThelastRolo20 thanks ladies. If that is what it is I'm now worried that there's something wrong from surgery to cause this? The doctor said that everything went well with the surgery and minimal bleeding but of course I'm thinking the worst and I'll never have another successful pregnancy.

SnookyPook · 26/03/2024 17:38

@jellyfish2 I'm so sorry you're going through this. I had a CP last September - started bleeding at 4+5 and it was just like a normal period. It's horrible timing for you but it's highly unlikely to have been caused by the surgery. I think with a CP it's just most likely to be an egg that just can't implant/gets rejected very early on. I was gutted with mine but also kind of glad it hadn't dragged on if it wasn't going to be viable. I ovulated two weeks later and actually fell pregnant again straight away (although unfortunately in my case that was another loss but I've heard of many conceiving a successful pregnancy after a CP). Sending you lots of love and hope you're ok. 💗

jellyfish2 · 26/03/2024 19:08

Thank you @SnookyPook. I'm so glad to see your pregnancy is progressing well 🩷 it's so lovely to see positive news after hearing how much you've been through.

UrsulaSings123 · 26/03/2024 20:25

jellyfish2 · 26/03/2024 17:05

@UrsulaSings123 @ThelastRolo20 thanks ladies. If that is what it is I'm now worried that there's something wrong from surgery to cause this? The doctor said that everything went well with the surgery and minimal bleeding but of course I'm thinking the worst and I'll never have another successful pregnancy.

This is something that worried me too. I think it's 99% likely that it's just horrible timing, but I would jump to conclusions as well if it were me because I was worried about it anyway. I don't think there is any need to worry though as the likelihood of damage is so rare, especially enough to cause problems with implantation etc.

Ladyinpink1 · 26/03/2024 21:36

Hi @SnookyPook lovely to hear from you 💜 also cant believe you are 20 weeks already, I feel like it's flew in! But I can imagine maybe slow for you at times, that's great news to read that everything has been successfulx

@Bugdem123 yes I hope so too! Oh I can see how you could be tempted by an opk because I feel a bit strange at the thought of not being able to know how many dpo or ovulating at a different time, but also it feels exciting. We go away for 3 nights on Friday so hoping it leaves me nice and relaxed ready for fertile period x

@ThelastRolo20 I hate those times where you are like "yay, it's over" then bam another bit appears, like being lulled into a false sense of security. Hopefully that little bit was the last for you x

I hope you are ok, I'm so sorry you have been left not knowing what's going on, that must be so difficult for you, I haven't experienced a chemical either, so have no experience to give. @jellyfish2 💜 x

ThelastRolo20 · 26/03/2024 22:10

@UrsulaSings123 @jellyfish2 I got pregnant the month after a "natural" miscarriage and that one didn't work out so I figure there's sometimes no rhyme or reason to these things ❤️ doesn't make it easier of course but I wouldn't immediately think something was wrong following the surgery x

UrsulaSings123 · 26/03/2024 22:38

@Ladyinpink1 are you going somewhere nice? 3 nights is lovely, good to have 2 whole days.

Ladyinpink1 · 27/03/2024 12:30

@UrsulaSings123 we have booked a cabin with hotub in a forest so I think it will be nice to escape the world for a few days. Do you have any time off coming up? x

samilicious · 27/03/2024 12:47

@ThelastRolo20 sorry you're having a weird time with AF - I don't know if there is a normal after MC, especially surgery. Seems like one extreme or the other. I think as long as they're staying the same and getting slightly better after a few months. Worth getting checked out to ease your mind though just in case. My friend just had MVA and still had some retained tissues after. That was immediately after the MVA though, not as part of a later period.

@Confusedandtired90 I had that a few cycles ago - must have been some sort of failed implantation because not had anything like it before or since, and had other weird symptoms too. Hope you're ok!

@Ladyinpink1 sorry just me fretting over nothing! Your cabin break sounds lovely @Bugdem123 took me a few cycles to get out of the trying mentality last time, thinking it will be the same for me this time. On my second since and much better already in myself and body feels better too with less worrying / checking everything

@UrsulaSings123 don't be mad at yourself for hoping, hard as it is. Need a bit of hope, just without the pressure on yourself. Hope it feels less intense soon

@jellyfish2 I had a false positive on a FRER two cycles ago. Used them for year no problem but will avoid in future. So sorry, it absolutely wrecked me at the time. Your line was stronger than mine though so more likely yours is CP

ThelastRolo20 · 27/03/2024 13:23

@samilicious thank you - it's stopped now so after my normal period I had two days of very small spotting (none even on a pad just on wiping) so chalking it up to one of those things/ my body just settling down.

Entering last fertile period of not trying! Getting there 😂

UrsulaSings123 · 27/03/2024 13:29

@Ladyinpink1 wow that sounds lovely! Very relaxing! I went to France last week so not got anything planned for a while now.

@samilicious thank you I hope so too. I did a test this morning at 7dpo 🙄 we all know how that turned out 😂

@ThelastRolo20 have you been advised to have a break from TTC or is it something you decided for yourself? Must be very hard to wait if you don't want to!
