I went to reply and you were right, the thread was full so I couldnt post a link to a new thread, also, because it's a new thread it wont give me a prediction to tag when I type a name, so I have just copied and paste the names off of everyone who posted on the very last page of the thread, I hope anyone else can find it OK. Sorry, maybe there is an easier better way... if anyone else can remember extra names and spellings, please tag 🙂

Just realised I meant to tag @moosey89 in that bit! Sorry!

moosey89 · 25/03/2024 07:22

I tested - negative as negative can be, as expected 😞 on to the next month.

jellyfish2 · 25/03/2024 07:32

Well, I'm out this month. First period arrived this morning after my MC which is a couple of days earlier than expected. Assuming because of the MC. It also seems really watery blood which is different to how my normal period would be. What was everyone else's first period like after MC? I have mixed emotions about it and think maybe it's a good thing for dating purposes, hopefully my body just wasn't ready yet.

UrsulaSings123 · 25/03/2024 08:05

@moosey89 sorry your test was negative... I guess at least now you know what to focus on with the specialist. I hope they are able to help.

@jellyfish2 I didn't realise you'd had a miscarriage so recently. Was your cycle quite short this time then? If my opks were correct then I ovulated day 13 which is v early for me. I'm normally a day 16 kind a gal. Which says to me my cycle will be shorter this month. I was reading a post someone did the other day about retained products and they had a negative preg test and no signs of it, only found out as they were having scans as part of fertility treatment. Kind of scared me a bit so I think having a period after is probably a good thing to make sure everything is properly cleared out. Onwards and upwards and I hope this cycle is better for you.

jellyfish2 · 25/03/2024 08:16

@UrsulaSings123 yes I had surgery 7 weeks ago this week and that's me just got a period. I only ovulated after 6 weeks, didn't realise how long it would take. It probably is better I agree but didn't want to miss an opportunity!

moosey89 · 25/03/2024 08:22

Thanks @UrsulaSings123 - I'm at a point now where I can't even imagine getting a positive test, let alone being pregnant with a bump. I'm so fed up. We're trying until August (one full year since most recent loss) and then going to counselling as a couple to figure out what we want to do as we can't keep trying indefinitely. It's taken over my life and it's emotionally exhausting. I want to feel like I'm living again not just surviving.

UrsulaSings123 · 25/03/2024 08:28

@jellyfish2 yes I know what you mean, I didn't either.

@moosey89 sorry you're feeling so miserable. That sounds like a really good idea with the counselling. We've had couples counselling before when we've disagreed about how we want to plan our future (not saying that you are) and it was very, very helpful in helping us make decisions and align what we both wanted more. August is still 5 months away so still time yet. I know what you mean about wanting to feel like you're living and got your life back.

ThelastRolo20 · 25/03/2024 08:42

@jellyfish2 I think it's normal for the first period after to seem a bit different, everything is still settling down with the hormone changes. Fingers crossed it resets your body for a good chance this month

@moosey89 I'm so sorry lovely, I think your plan of trying until August and then having counselling is a really good one. If I ever get pregnant again I've decided it's the last shot (after two missed miscarriages) - like you I want to make sure I'm living life as opposed to just going through it

samilicious · 25/03/2024 13:33

@13lucy I bet longer cycles are much harder with TTC / DTD. I was most fertile when mine were at my longest. Well, that's the only time
I've conceived and had a healthy pregnancy so not sure if there's anything in it or just coincidence

@moosey89 sorry you got BFN but hope the appointment gives you some clarity and hope

jellyfish2 · 25/03/2024 13:52

Can anyone help or offer advice. So I said earlier on this thread that my period had arrived but it was light and thinking it was to do with my MC. I wiped again and a decent amount of blood when I wiped but mucusy and more like a pinky red colour. I had a frer which I hadn't used yet so decided to try it and this looks positive? It was in the timeframe so it can't be an evap? I had a negative on a cheapie only last night. I'm now wondering if this is a chemical or if it could be implantation bleeding. I think the frer is slightly more sensitive than the cheapie but I did the frer on a 2 hour hold. I feel so confused.

@jellyfish2 I can see a line, I would get another test and test tomorrow with FMU. What CD are you, and do you know when you ovulated? I’ve got my fingers crossed for you 🙂

jellyfish2 · 25/03/2024 14:03

@Wise0wl I'm 13dpo and my period I was expecting on Wednesday but again because of the MC just assumed it was a bit early. I have another frer I'll keep it for tomorrow. Thank you. TTC is such a mind f* isn't it.

Bugdem123 · 25/03/2024 15:06

@jellyfish2 that definitely looks positive. Have you had a negative test since your loss? You're not wrong about it being a mind fuck!!

Bugdem123 · 25/03/2024 15:07

@moosey89 I'm so sorry about the BFN, it's so gutting every time. I hope your specialist appointment goes well and you get something out of it.

samilicious · 25/03/2024 15:08

@jellyfish2 deffo retest - I got an evap on a frer well within the timeframe a few months ago while getting negative on cheapies. Is there two in the pack?

UrsulaSings123 · 25/03/2024 15:25

It really is. I hope its a good outcome for you. Did you test negative on a preg test a few weeks after the miscarriage? If there's low levels of hcg then as far as I know even with a miscarriage you should test in the morning. But someone else might correct me on that.

It's so hard working out what's going on with your body. I feel like a scientist when I'm doing opks and bbt and all that.

jellyfish2 · 25/03/2024 15:26

@Bugdem123 yeah I've had lots of negatives I've been testing since about 10dpo and today is the first I've seen even a hint of a line.
@samilicious yeah there's two in a pack. I've now got some more bleeding so I can only assume it's failed implantation or something. It's just strange I got a negative yesterday and positive today but there's more bleeding. Wish I hadn't even tested but there was only light spotting when I did which was weird.

ThelastRolo20 · 25/03/2024 15:55

@jellyfish2 how confusing for you ❤️ it's so hard but you're best to wait a day or two and see what happens with the bleeding (also will give a chance to see line progression if it is a new pregnancy) x

moosey89 · 25/03/2024 16:45

Thanks for the support guys - appointment was moderately useful. I have to have a hycosy, but it's a 3 month wait apparently. Thankfully I'm due on tomorrow so at least I can start getting my way up the wait list immediately! Recurrent miscarriage wise, no cause found, "idiopathic recurring miscarriage" which basically just means bad luck/nothing they can do to prevent it. Sucks and means there's nothing to lessen the worry if I get pregnant again but at least it's not something really complicated that could mean I can't carry to term. And consultant has put the referral in for fertility clinic which will be an appointment after the hycosy. So I now have 3 months to lose 10kg ish to make sure I'm comfortably within BMI range for all treatments.

Wise0wl · 25/03/2024 16:49

@moosey89 i’m so sorry about your bfn but your appointment sounds like it was helpful and productive. I’m sure I’ve read positive things about ttc after hycosy as it sort of flushes everything out?

ThelastRolo20 · 25/03/2024 17:22

@moosey89 I'm glad you've left with some sort of plan and a focus ❤️ you're doing amazing x

Bugdem123 · 25/03/2024 18:51

@moosey89 that's good you have a plan in place but I can understand your frustration with no cause being found for the miscarriages. The unknown is always so hard to deal with.

I don't know what's going on with me but I've been feeling really different the past few days. A bit more relaxed and "it'll happen when it happens" type of thoughts. I don't know what's making this happen and I'm sure I'll feel differently next week when my AF is due. I've been so upset for so long that it feels really strange but I'm going to try and enjoy it while it lasts! Hope you're all doing okay x

When is AF due for you? I'm due on 3rd but no idea if that'll happen as itll be the 1st one since MC. That's good you're feeling more relaxed. Did you say you stopped measuring BBT? Sorry if that wasn't you, it's hard to keep up sometimes!

samilicious · 25/03/2024 21:38

@Ladyinpink1 how are you doing gorge? Understand wanting to take a break but here if you need ♥️ just wanted you to know thinking about you

I'm deep in trying not trying. Giving it 2 months then will go back to full throttle again. Desperately trying to dissociate from CDs at the moment so I can focus on how I'm feeling 😆

@moosey89 so glad your appointment has put you on the right path, good to know there's nothing big going on but hard to manoeuvre around too. And at least AF had helped move you up, she's good for that one thing!

Bugdem123 · 25/03/2024 21:39

@UrsulaSings123 I'm due on the 6th or 7th I think. Are you an early tester?

Yeah, I've stopped tracking my BBT and stopped OPKs (other than once or twice which was a huge improvement 😅) and I'm really surprised at how I'm finding it. I'm a huge control freak so I thought I liked all the data but I think it was just feeding my obsession as I was spending hours every day starting at my charts and photos of my OPKs and getting really upset if my temperature wasn't exactly what I wanted it to be etc. I didn't think I'd be able to stop but so far I'm finding it quite helpful. Have you always tracked or have you just started?
