Ladies has anyone used or had any success with pre seed? I don’t really fancy it to be honest but feel I might as well give it a try this month?

Sez281 · 04/03/2024 18:46

@xxcxdonxx we used conceive plus as they didn't have pre-seed in my local boots. I bought the pack with the self applicator thing so it was really easy to use. My OH wasn't a fan at all but I kind of talked him round in our last cycle of trying and I'm convinced that played a massive part in conceiving. (Well that and the progesterone) Definitely worth giving it a go πŸ‘Œ

@Supertrooper101 how are you doing? Did you get sorted regarding the thrush stuff? Do you think it's the pessaries?

@Paws4thought glad to hear that you're feeling a bit better xx

Westy22 · 04/03/2024 18:52

We used preseed more in my last cycle with applicator to make sure it was high enough 🀣 I never used loads tho think the highest I went to was 2 @xxcxdonxx tbh with the amount of dtd involved last month i wouldn't of survived without it 🀣 also it was a full cycle taking Maca tablets which my friend has been telling me to take for months πŸ™ˆ

Hankthehonk · 04/03/2024 18:55

@xxcxdonxx we used preseed for the first time the cycle I got pregnant! Obviously no idea whether it actually helped but that's my 100% success rate feedback πŸ˜…

Hope everyone is doing well! I'm still trying to keep up with the thread, my wee boy is 4 weeks old today. Don't want to share too many baby updates in case it's tough for people to see. But I'm so happy for those of you who are pregnant now and rooting so hard for those still trying. Strange that it's now march again eh 😒

xxcxdonxx · 04/03/2024 19:44

Thanks ladies, it sounds like it’s worth a shot then with very good success rate!!

Oh @Hankthehonk that’s not been lost on me. My friends have a joint party every year for the kids instead of buying them all gifts. It was the party this weekend and it did sting a little going into it as it was the party last year I had told them I was pregnant. Can’t believe that it’s been a year 😰

xxcxdonxx · 04/03/2024 19:45

Also @Hankthehonk can’t believe that’s 4 weeks past already! Does he still seem like a scrunchy new born? I bet you can see a big change in him.

Supertrooper101 · 04/03/2024 20:15

@Sez281 kinda died off so not bothered drs for once lol forgot to ask are you on 150mg aspirin?
@Hankthehonk 4wks !! Nooooo.... like last week you were getting taken in lol
@xxcxdonxx get the pre seed πŸ™‚ i bet that party was tuff. So many reminders arnt there no matter whats going on in life πŸ™

Hankthehonk · 04/03/2024 20:19

Yeah @xxcxdonxx I knew everyone in this thread would have it in their minds this month, those milestones and memories. Of course it makes me appreciate my baby all the more but I'm still holding sadness for the pregnancy we lost. I'm sorry, that party must have been hard for you, well done getting through it and I hope you had someone to talk to.
Yes, my son is piling on the weight, he's a milk monster. Getting more alert and curious every day. I'm sleep deprived but so happy and grateful.

SnookyPook · 04/03/2024 20:32

@Hankthehonk aw 4wks already! So lovely hearing how healthy and thriving he is!

And yes, poignant couple of months for all of us isn't it. I was about a week into my BFP I think. And although my physical MC was mid-April, it was March that little one stopped developing. I still sometimes have kind of parallel world moments where I think goodness I'd have had a 4 month old if... But then now it's also weird because I'm sure when this little one gets here I won't be able to imagine it being anyone but them, and of course, I wouldn't be having this pregnancy if the MMC hadn't happened. All very weird.

Sending hugs to everyone a this time πŸ’—

Sez281 · 04/03/2024 20:37

@Supertrooper101 glad to hear that it's eased off.. I'm only on 75mg. Will be interesting to see if they up it down the road.

@Hankthehonk Wow can't believe it's been 4 weeks πŸ₯° Time has gone so fast! How's your little girl with him?

@xxcxdonxx it's so tough isn't it. I was at my nephews first birthday party yesterday. His birthday will always remind me as it's the day I took the tablets for medical management 😒 (even though it needed surgery a week later) I'm very lucky to be in the situation that I've found myself in now but it's definitely still a poignant reminder of where we all found ourselves last year πŸ˜” xx

OP posts:
Jadeypie · 05/03/2024 15:16

@Hankthehonk wow four weeks, it goes so quick when they are tiny doesn't it!! Then all of a sudden they are ferel toddlers climbing getting up to all kinds haha.

It really is crazy thinking about where we all was this time last year! All consumed with grief ect now we have baby's and ones on the way! I hope people who come across this thread if they manage to read it all haha that there really is hope!

No updates from me feeling calm 100% out this cycle not been much of dtd plus other half was away when I think I ovulated. So it's refreshing not to be constantly thinking about conceiving xx

Supertrooper101 · 06/03/2024 07:41

@Jadeypie wow you do sound calm πŸ™‚.. do yiu think the meds are balancing your mood too then? Are you trying......without trying now then ? Lol
@Sez281 how you feeling about today, whst time you there? They gave me 150mg. Aparantly the guildlines changed. But only from 12wks so they may up urs soon then. But then ireland msy be different πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ lol

Westy22 · 06/03/2024 09:53

Good luck today @Sez281 ❀️

How you doing @Supertrooper101

Glad your feeling positive and calm @Jadeypie it will happen for you πŸ™

How are you two? @xxcxdonxx @Paws4thought did you get the preseed @xxcxdonxx

Set myself a new goal now of getting past 7+2 as that's when bleed started last time, feeling positive but I have little moments of absolute fear. Digital test changed to 2-3 on Sunday so that made me relax a little bit πŸ™πŸ€žI've not got anymore more digitals so won't be doing another πŸ™ˆ OH is literally not talking about it which makes me sad, but I guess it's his way of protecting himself atm but I'm annoyed he's not asked me anything 🀣

xxcxdonxx · 06/03/2024 10:16

@Jadeypie your positivity and calm approach really comes across in your message, it’s lovely to see! It would
be a full time job reading though all
these updates 🀣.

That’s excellent news @Westy22 , did you say you would wait until 6 weeks to register with your midwife? I get where your Oh is coming from, hopefully in another few weeks he will feel a bit more confident.
I’ve not bough it yet, need to get that and more opks, that’s maybe a job for tonight after work. Back to tracking again, can’t believe it and it can sometimes feel a bit like a secret second life I’m living πŸ™ˆ

Thinking of you today @Sez281

On my referral @Supertrooper101 they said 75mg whilst trying and 150mg when pregnant so that seems different again.

Westy22 · 06/03/2024 10:31

@xxcxdonxx Yeah I've decided to wait another week before I start making any calls just feel like I'll jinx it πŸ™ˆ (I know that's silly) yeahh I see why he's not acknowledging it atm, hopefully if we get to 8 weeks and I book a scan he will start to feel positive.

Ah I bet it does feel strange tracking again, hopefully it won't be too long for you πŸ™ just remember with preseed less is more πŸ€£πŸ™ˆ

Xx

xxcxdonxx · 06/03/2024 10:38

I don’t think it’s silly at all, I totally get that @Westy22 and I’m sure I’d feel the same.
Ooft im not looking forward to using it already but I’m think at this stage I’ll give anything a go 🫣

Sez281 · 06/03/2024 11:23

Thanks for all the positive thoughts ladies. I've been officially discharged from the epau πŸ™Œ Measuring a couple of days ahead at 9 weeks and a strong heartbeat πŸ’“ I will register with the consultant/midwife today (so you don't sound silly at all @Westy22 as I couldn't face it until now) I'm very much still aware of how much can go wrong (my Nipt bloods are the next milestone in 2 weeks) but I'm a tiny bit more hopeful as each day passes πŸ™πŸŒˆ

@Jadeypie that does sound so refreshing! Sometimes it takes things being taken out of your hands like OH is away or medical reasons etc to force a little break but it definitely helps mentally πŸ‘Œ xx

@xxcxdonxx Honestly I quite liked the conceive stuff (even though OH hated it πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚) are you going to start the aspirin then?

I'd say they will increase it for me too @Supertrooper101 How are you feeling?

OP posts:
xxcxdonxx · 06/03/2024 11:41

@Sez281 that’s fantastic, so pleased for you!! Another milestone passed and I’m sure provides that bit more reassurance as you reach them.
I had taken one every second day this cycle passed so I think I’ll do the same this one and see how we go. I’m conscious that as I don’t know for sure if I have this sticky blood then I don’t want to be taking it unnecessarily.

Supertrooper101 · 06/03/2024 13:15

@Sez281 awww thats good. Get ringing the midwifes lol theyl be cross if you leave it too long. Least you will get those 2 appointments straight away with you being 9wks.. am ok....bit nervous now why when i asked about the heartbeat all they said was they didnt focus on that yet as too early πŸ€”.. cant remember when i asked that tho lol
@xxcxdonxx i thought the pre seed stuck things up there if you know what i mean lol but defo less is more lol

Jadeypie · 06/03/2024 13:35

@Sez281 Wow 9 weeks!! That's flown. Lovely news and I'm so happy for you, now go get that midwife booked before they shout at you like what @Supertrooper101 said haha. Xx

@Supertrooper101 I think they have done somthing hormone wise don't feel like a hormonal wench hahahah. Not too sure when af is due either xx

@Westy22 aww I'm glad your feeling positive even if it is just a little bit! You'll soon be passing that 7 week mark to tick off your milestone list xx

@xxcxdonxx I'm putting the meds down to my calmness haha or the well needed break! How you feeling tracking again? Rearing to go? X x

SnookyPook · 06/03/2024 14:18

@Sez281 oh that's wonderful news! And 9wks is awesome! πŸ₯° Hope you get your booking and scan through quickly now.

@Jadeypie loving the zen-ness! Glad you're doing ok.

@Westy22 2-3 on the digital is a great sign. Hopefully OH will come round soon and you can both allow a bit more excitement to creep in.

@Supertrooper101 how are you doing? Can't remember if you have the date for your 12wk scan yet? Xx

Hankthehonk · 06/03/2024 15:49

Thrilled to see your positive update @Sez281 - another milestone under your belt and glad you're feeling more hopeful.
Thanks everyone for the kind words about my wee man hitting 4 weeks already. In some ways it's flying in but equally pregnancy already feels like a long time ago. Time is meaningless in newborn land basically.
This week I feel a lot more like myself in terms of c section recovery, getting out and about a bit and actually starting to enjoy mat leave πŸ˜€

Westy22 · 06/03/2024 16:06

So glad everything's good @Sez281 ❀️🌈 I didn't realise you hadn't done the midwife stuff yet...hopefully all the apps come through quickly. Have you had lower back ache in this pregnancy? I keep getting it and I'm trying not to over analyse. I felt good this morning now I feel rubbish.

@Hankthehonk can't believe how quick that 4 weeks has gone, glad baby is doing well and your starting to enjoy maternity πŸ’™

Jadeypie · 06/03/2024 16:13

@Westy22 I had lower backache with both my pregnancy's I wouldn't worry (easier said than done) xx

@Hankthehonk aww I forgot you had a c section how have u found it? Did you have one with your first? Glad your starting to get back to the norm and enjoying mat leave xx

SnookyPook · 06/03/2024 16:28

@Westy22 I've had random backache at times during this pregnancy and it has really freaked me out (few days of it after one of my spotting episodes too 😩). Thankfully it obviously wasn't impending doom. As with so many things. It can either be normal pregnancy growing pains or a bad sign. No comfort at all when you're already on high alert. But it is extremely common during healthy pregnancy to have backache so cling to that! πŸ’•
