@Supertrooper101 not sure I can book for the bloods if got a positive before hand as they said 6 weeks after negative test, so would assume private would be the same? Glad they've given you the extra scan before the official one, hopefully your bleed will sort it's self before the official one so you might relax a little more.
@Sez281 hope your scan has gone well, I had abdominal scan at 6+2 and they could see heartbeat so should be able to at 8 weeks I'd think.
@Westy22 your lines look like they're getting darker, hopefully time will go quickly for you, will you book private scan?
@xxcxdonxx sorry to see af has arrived and you're not feeling great, think we'll potentially be similar timings this month now.
@SnookyPook ah that's great hearing the heart beat again, I'd have panicked having a second midwife come in, can see why they say not to buy one to use at home if they struggle sometimes too.
@Jadeypie good to see you back, I wondered how you were getting on.

Supertrooper101 · 02/03/2024 12:32

@Paws4thought meant if you get a bfp, cancel the bloods, if you dont, keep the booked bloods . Win win lol

Paws4thought · 02/03/2024 14:06

@Supertrooper101 ah yeah that makes sense :)

Sez281 · 02/03/2024 14:10

@Jadeypie that's good that you're noticing things, you're right not to do opks if they're too stressful xx

@Paws4thought hope you're doing ok xx

The scan went well 😊 Apart from the fact that I hadn’t filled my bladder enough and he pressed really hard 😣 Measuring bang on 8+1 and really strong heartbeat of 158 πŸ’“ We decided to go tell our parents then (obviously with the caution that it's still early and anything can happen) but that was nice πŸ™‚

@Sez281 awww made up for you!! Its nice to share the happy news too, another little milestone to tick off! Xx

@Supertrooper101 no rush when the times right you will no! Orrr be one of those women who wait till the baby's born and everyone's shocked to death haha suppose that can only happen if you don't show haha. I duno what it is tbh, he breaks his little heart when another kid crys but seems like it's got worse since he went in his new class. He's a little sensitive soul with loads of empathy I'm afraid that's from his dad I'm the opposite unfortunately πŸ˜‚ xx

SnookyPook · 02/03/2024 15:32

@Sez281 oh how wonderful! πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸ’— So happy to hear this update! And lovely that you've felt able to share your news. Absolutely understand you feeling cautious still but this is a great step forwards ☺️

SnookyPook · 02/03/2024 15:33

@Supertrooper101 haha I managed to resolve it without in the end! Prune yoghurts and bran flakes for the win πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Paws4thought · 02/03/2024 17:35

@Sez281 glad your scan went well and you felt able to share your news

Supertrooper101 · 02/03/2024 18:44

@SnookyPook prune yogurts yuk 🀣
@Sez281 great to hear that. You can go next week with a smile on your face now and not be nervous. Had the bleed you had resolved itself then? With being on the aspirin your kind of my knowledge if it makes things worse or not lol

Sez281 · 02/03/2024 19:52

Thought I replied about an hour ago but I obviously didn't πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Thanks all, I'm still keeping my guard up (and probably always will) but I'm definitely feeling a tiny bit more hopeful πŸ™πŸ’“

@Supertrooper101 he said he couldn't see a bleed, so either he's a shit sonographer or it's resolved itself πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ, We will find out on Wednesday I guess. I think I'll still be a bit nervous (I think Epaus are nearly designed for that πŸ˜•) but hopefully by the time I leave I'll be able to start making calls for booking appointments etc 🀞

Ahh so glad you had a good scan @Sez281 ❀️ keeping everything crossed for you ❀️

I'm only like 4+2 @Jadeypie as I found out early so ive got a long few weeks πŸ™ˆ looked back and I started getting faint positives from 8dpo so reckon I've ovulated earlier as that seems super quick?!

I'm hoping to hold off till 8 weeks for a private scan @Paws4thought I really don't want to go back to epu...I was thinking about it last night and just the thought of sitting in that waiting room gave me anxiety. Obviously if I get any signs something isn't right then I'll probably have to like but really going to try and avoid. I really hope your okay xx

xxcxdonxx · 03/03/2024 07:38

Brilliant news @Sez281 so pleased that the scan went well and you were able to share your lovely news with your parents πŸ₯°

xxcxdonxx · 03/03/2024 07:41

@Paws4thought you are right, we will be. We’ve got this next cycle πŸ’ͺ🏻

How have you been feeling? Hope your cramping has stopped xx

Jadeypie · 03/03/2024 08:03

@Westy22 I would think so but who nos nothing is certain is it haha. Maybe little pip was just eager to get implanted! Totally get the mindset too with epu I would do the same if I wasnt risk of another ectopic. I hope these next few weeks fly for you!! Make sure you are taking it easy in work also have u told them? X

Westy22 · 03/03/2024 08:55

@Jadeypie I haven't told the store manager yet but the deputy knows, trying my best not to do anything that's super heavy or over stretch, then I feel silly coz I'm like your literally just pregnant πŸ™ˆ I'll tell my boss when I've had a reassurance scan so I know things are progressing 🀞

I passed a little personal milestone last night, as looking back at my previous history the pain I had that triggered epu to get involved was at 4+2, I was so anxious going sleep as it happened in the middle of the night but fingers crossed so far no repeat. X

Supertrooper101 · 03/03/2024 09:28

@Westy22 can imagine your sleep was was pants then! But plsd you woke up releived.
Plsd am not the only one who doesnt like epu. At mine u have to walk past the pregnant woman waiting for scans first. So straight sway its a reminder and doomy lol
@Sez281 was your mum annoyed that your sister already knew haha

Sez281 · 03/03/2024 09:59

@Westy22 that's a great little milestone to get passed. I totally get how it drags when you test so early (I was 3+2 🀯) I also think we all get the epau anxiety, you're definitely right to avoid it unless you have to! X

@Supertrooper101 she wasn't annoyed at all as she knows how close we are. It turns out she'd kind of guessed anyway (mums always know πŸ˜‚) apparently I'd been avoiding her calls a lot or cutting them short subconsciously.. probably because I can't hold my piss! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚

@Westy22 at least someone knows. I only do three shifts a week now untill little once goes to full time school. So my plan is to let the people I work with on them days so they don't just think I'm lazy and be arsed trying to think of a different excuse each week ahhaha. Great that you've passed your first milestone I think having little ones each week might calm the nerves abit. Xx

@Sez281 I agree mums always no. Mine new before me with my first hahaha I think they can just see and sense a change I also crnt hold my own piss hahaha xx

SnookyPook · 03/03/2024 12:32

@Westy22 aw that's great - congrats on passing that first milestone. These little things all count πŸ’•

@Sez281 haha Mums always know!

Hope everyone else is good. Nothing to report here which I'm taking as a positive πŸ˜„

Supertrooper101 · 03/03/2024 14:53

So, cyclogest question lol anyone had or they they hsd external thrush whilst on them? Just thinking how would they be able to swab for it when the inside is swamped in the pessary already lol or could it be the pessary πŸ€” figured id ask you guys first lol

Sez281 · 03/03/2024 17:31

@Supertrooper101 would you need a swab? If you're pretty sure it's thrush could you not just get caneston (cream not pessary) or something? Or does a GP have to confirm it first in pregnancy? I'm sure if they did swab then the yeast/bacteria levels would be detected regardless of the progesterone? πŸ€”

Paws4thought · 03/03/2024 19:23

@xxcxdonxx I'm OK thanks, cramps have stopped completely and pretty much stopped bleeding now too, in the bit of limbo trying to work out when I might ovulate and how often to do preg test to check it's going negative - don't want to waste too many haha. How are you feeling now?
@Westy22 every little milestone is worth celebrating :) it's so hard to know when to tell work, I told my manager straight away this time as figured I'd need time off for scans etc

xxcxdonxx · 04/03/2024 07:15

That’s a great milestone to pass @Westy22 , fab news and definitely worth a little celebration! If I get pregnant again, mines would be about the 6 week mark.

That’s good @Paws4thought and that things seem to be getting back to β€˜normal’. I know what you mean about wasting tests, they are precious resources!
I’m feeling ok thanks, less rageful than I’ve been which I’m sure everyone appreciates 🀣 Need to get more opks too and
join you in the joys of tracking xx

Paws4thought · 04/03/2024 09:43

@xxcxdonxx glad you're feeling more mellow haha what brand opk do you use?
