BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@Huriya ahhhh! Is it actually? 😍 My NC app said it was negative and I was like it's at least high if not a peak 😂 I'd say test line is darker than control! So does this mean I'm likely to ovulate tomorrow?
EWCM has deffo kicked up a notch today!

That is definitely a positive! What's this app everyone uses that tells you if it's peak etc? Not that I need to add another thing to obsess over 😅

For me I have two days where tests are positive and normally ovulate on the second day. That's so positive though that, yeah, I reckon you'll ovulate today so hopefully see a temp rise tomorrow.

@Hotmalibu94 deffo seems like you will ovulate tomorrow. We are literally going to have such similar due dates at the start of May some time 🙈.

@Kinsters Its the same with me this cycle. I had a peak yesterday. My ovulation strips are still showing peak but that maybe due to the fact it hasnt been 24hrs yet.
I use the app premom to scan my strips x

@Huriya @Kinsters I can't decide whether to do another test tonight or just wait and see what my temp does tomorrow. Maybe I'll wait and see 😅

@Hotmalibu94 I'd wait and see your temp tomorrow. Although if this is your first time trying OPKs maybe it would be good to do another this evening to see if your surge has ended!

@Huriya my DH is a teacher and is home for the summer, so he's currently got all the time in the world to BD.. If we don't conceive this cycle, I'm sure we wouldn't be able to DTD every day next cycle 😅

@Hotmalibu94 I can tell from the picture that it's a lot darker than the one you posted yesterday, so I think you've hit your peak / are hitting it in the next few hours. So exciting!

@Kinsters I'm using the premom app with easy@home strips. I don't know if they're any good, because this is my first month using them. But you can take a picture of your strip and it'll show you an estimated reading and tell you when you've hit high / peak. If you check page 12 of this thread, some of us have posted screenshots of their app screen with the peak & high strips highlighted. I would have shared a screenshot myself, but I haven't reached that point in my cycle yet. Here's a link to make it easy for you:

Thank you! I'll have a look at it. For me the problem isn't getting pregnant as it's always happened really easily in the past even if we've had rubbish timing but I miscarry 60% of the time (and that's not even including the couple of chemicals I've had). I feel sure there must be some reason for it but also the miscarriages are at such different stages that maybe it's just bad luck.

I still love charting though, I've been doing it off and on for 5 years now and love looking back at the data - especially the charts that correspond to my DC!

Ahh haha yes, seeing them all lined up nicely is very tempting!

gosh @Kinsters that sounds horrible, keeping everything crossed for you this time. I know what you mean about charting - I’ve done it for 3 years or so and just like having the data! Speaking of, has anyone got the newer Apple Watch with BBT tracking? Apparently it won’t actually give you a number, but should be able to predict ovulation- interested to know how well it works!

I found the old OPKs - out of date 2 years ago 🙈

Hi ladies, sorry I’ve been fairly absent from this post the last week or so. I was fairly sure I ovulated on 17th July but I’m still without AF or BFP.
Having PCOS makes tracking cycles/ovulation difficult. I’ve ordered an Ovusense temperature tracker - which you wear for bed. They’re meant to be the best things to track ovulation in PCOS. It arrives on Saturday so let’s give it a go.

@Kinsters yeah I've decided to wait and see tomorrow and test if my temp doesn't come up!
So terrible that you've struggled so much with miscarriages 😔 I hope you don't have any issues this time round 🤞

@Myna13 yeah I've just compared and I can't believe how different it was in less than 24 hours! I've put the pictures here for comparison. One with the wrapper was yesterday's, one on plain white is today's!

@ginny93 yeah I was not gonna clean that up, that's his job 😂 I told him to tell me when to stop. And he's missed bits 🙈 I had someone in my car today and I was mortified that they would find a bit of puke 😂

@Ncl31 oh bless you! When was AF due? Was due around the start of this thread wasn't it?

Thanks @Hotmalibu94 and @ginny93 I think I'm just resigned to having miscarriages at this point. I have two DC already which definitely makes it easier. A third would just be a bonus if it happens. I haven't even looked at the dates on my OPKs! Sure if they're still in the packet they'd be fine?

No proper temp rise for me this morning. Could be a slow rise though. No chance of a BFP this month anyway as we are having a break before trying again. I just want to see it happen. FF has changed since I last used it. Does anyone know why today's temp is a red diamond?

@Kinsters yeah, nice to know it is a possibility 🥰

Temp at 3am was same as previous and then since then very restless sleep and at 6am it's high but I feel hot from sleeping... I'll go with the normal temp for now and test again this morning to see what that's doing. I guess today or tomorrow I'll be in the TWW!
