BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

@thejollytrolleydolly and @ginny93 the curry was so hot I couldn't eat it, DDH (dear drunk husband) threw up all down the outside (and some inside) of my car, and he was snoring so loud I had to sleep downstairs 🫠 terrible evening 😂 he's very apologetic today!

@ginny93 dunno if they go out of date, try and dig them out and see 😅

@CatiaR BBT rises after ovulation so if that's what it is you should have caught your peak already, keep watching and waiting 😁

My BBT still hasn't done a rise yet, so maybe going to ovulate today as predicted! We shall see. Hopefully if we can DTD today I'll have Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday... 🤞 Still have EWCM this am.

@pinkmarshmalloww good luck! How are your OPKs so far?

@Hotmalibu94 yeah I think the fact our room is always hot and the weather has gone better made my temp increase, I don't believe I ovulated already its still low and I haven't felt anything, fertile week starts today but I am going to keep watch to see if it increases further, it was only 0.3 or so.

@Hotmalibu94 oh my word!! I bet he's definitely in the doghouse today! 🙈

@thejollytrolleydolly I had him outside cleaning my car at 7am 😇 it doesn't happen often, so I try to let it slide a bit when it does 😂

Gonna do an OPK today at 12ish, and then maybe 4ish? Will see what happens there!

definitely need to rule out that this increase in temp is not ovulation deciding to turn up earlier than expected 😂

They remain around 0.5 😩 going to test at half 12 and I hope it's looking positive x

Positive OPK for me this morning so I'm hoping I'll see a temperature rise tomorrow.

@pinkmarshmalloww hope you get your peak! After conceiving my third with sex only on O-4 I'm less worried about timing than I used to be!

Hi all, this seems like a lovely supportive thread so hoping to join you. Long time lurker, currently on cycle 3 TTC#1 but have been doing BBT for almost 2 years. Currently CD14 so similar timings to most of you, AF due 25 Aug. My ovulation day can vary between CD13-19, but usually around CD15 so expecting a temp rise this Saturday. Would love a May baby, but just crossing my fingers for BFP any time soon. Good luck to everyone, here’s to the TWW together!

Lots to catchup on! I had a busy evening yesterday, and came back to read all these lovely messages. But really didn't have the energy to get involved and respond. I went out with a friend to get some sushi before raw fish becomes a no-no.

@thejollytrolleydolly thanks for sharing the advice you got from the fertility nurse. All of it sounds really straightforward, but also things I didn't think about. Got to cut out my artificial sweeteners immediately! I hope you're less stressed this month and your hpc line progression are as lovely as your opks were!
@Huriya so exciting that you've hit your peak! Sounds like you've had all bases covered, so hoping that this month is your month!

@Throwawy welcome to the group! I'm CD 13 with predicted ovulation on Monday, so you're not too far behind. Good luck! I hope this is your month!

@CatiaR My temp went up a tiny bit this morning, but I think it's thanks to the lovely, warmer weather. Loving the weather. I'm temping + using the OPKs, but just to be safe we're also BDing everyday until the fertile period ends. Hopefully this will have all bases covered.

@Myna13 I think so too, it looks to be due to the weather but I could see my opk this morning to be a higher increase than the other days so I think we are getting ready for the peak which is exciting :)

that's dedication there! we are still sort of casually doing it, and planning every other day, probably going to do today and then on the weekend but hopefully the days of OV.

@MorningsideMaisie welcome to the group! I'm on CD13 today and my AF is due 25/08 like yours. Predicted ovulation on Monday. So we're on similar timelines. Hoping this is your month!

@CatiaR I'll be doing an OPK around 12.30ish. So hopefully I will also start to see an increase soon. I've been doing 1 a day so far. But plan to do 2 a day closer to ovulation. Maybe start doing 2 a day on Saturday because my predicted ovulation is Monday.

@Myna13 same, I will do 2 a day today, maybe 3 when closer in the case its a sharp increase vs a slow increase.

@CatiaR Now you're putting ideas in my head 😂I quite enjoy poas so doing 3 a day is very tempting. But I will try and hold out on my 1 a day for at least today.

When you think the test looks good and still reads as low 🥺 hoping to peak by 6pm 🙏
Then I'm faced with the set back of 1 Fallopian tube and hoping I ovulate right sided. Although my right tube can move and pick up the egg from left ovary but the odds are about 30% 🙏

@Myna13 ahah, I just don't want to miss that surge if its sudden, my values have been fairly low increasing so not too sure what my body does as I've never tested 😅

@CatiaR I'm in the same situation as you. My readings are all quite low, and I have no point of reference for my own body because I've not done it before. I hope this month is both of our month. But if it isn't, we'll know what to expect next month 😅

Im currently on CD13, got my peak yesterday so should be ovulating today. Ive ended up ovulating earlier than usual. Originally I was meant to be ovulating on Sunday and period due around the 27th August.

@Myna13 doing the deed everyday wow! I like the dedication 🙈 My DH cant keep up 😂 told him we need dtd again today.. he says its exhausting when you have to be up at 6am. Promised him todays the last day and he can have a break after today😁.
He doesnt understand the concept of doing it so much lol hes to laid back. He was saying to me yeaterday sperm lives 3-5 days so surely every 3 days should cover it. Told him no I need fresh sperm for the egg 🙈.

@pinkmarshmalloww youre getting there! Mine was like that yesterday midday and around 5pm I got my peak! I deffo would reccommend checking later on and then maybe again before bed?

On the otherhand does anyone know how long LH surge lasts? I tested around 11.30 and Im still hitting peak. Does that mean the egg hasnt dropped yet?

Seen this on the Clearblue website. Adding it on here incase it helps anyone x
If you dont manage dtd on the LH surge you still have a good chance of conceiving especially if youve been dtd regularly.
