BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

Ooh @Biscuitbeann the suspense 😂 but high temp is a good sign! If AF was coming it would drop so fingers crossed for you!

@CatiaR its one of those things, where I don’t want to get my hopes up too much but also sitting about like a kid at Christmas waiting for Santa 😂

Thanks everyone. I had an ultrasound and transvaginal scan today. Need to go back again tomorrow for bloods and a repeat scan after 10 days. Theyre querying an ectopic pregnancy. Honestly so scared rn😭

@Myna13 good thanks! Not much to report here apart that I’m pleased that my little dip yesterday in BBT went straight back up today and hopefully will stay nice and high. I have been quite gassy the last few days but who knows if its not something I ate 😂

did have cm with more of a pale yellow tone one time but no actual bleeding at all so who knows if it meant anything for possible implantation. 7DPO today so not long left to know !

how are you? Any signs of AF or otherwise hopeful still? I think you mentioned you’re due today?

AF due today/tomorrow, but no signs of it yet. Still having tons of CM which is unusual for me. Looking through my notes from last cycle, I didn't have any CM left by this time last cycle.. so don't know if that's a sign. I've also been super gassy the last few days.
For context: I've been writing notes every day of the TWW. So I can pinpoint any symptoms or thoughts I've had, and then look back on it and compare different cycles. This cycle has been very different from the previous cycle. Don't know if that's good or bad yet. Only time will tell I guess.

@Myna13 The waiting is the worst part!! keeping my fingers crossed for you, everything sounds positive! Still no sign of AF this morning but my temp had dropped to just above cover line so anticipating it’ll arrive later today or tomorrow! Didn’t test this morning due to my BBT just gonna keep watching and waiting!

@Biscuitbeann it really is! Hopefully AF arrives for both of us soon so we can just move on to the next cycle. I think this is my giving up hope.

Somewhere mid cycle I stoped BBTing because I think I was doing it wrong. Going to start again today so maybe next cycle this time I will be in a better place. Off down the YouTube rabbit hole I go! 🐇

makes sense. Last month I had so many unusual symptoms that I convinced myself it was positive when i didn’t even have a shot last month as my app was totally off and we didn’t even BD in the correct time so I wasn’t worrying this month and barely felt anything to note. Very mild tightness on lower tummy occasionally but that’s not unusual so leaving it be 😊

@Biscuitbeann aww hope it turns around and AF doesn’t turn up!

I will probably be doing the same but I’m not too sure when AF is due now given I got a longer cycle this month. Originally would have been due today/tomorrow but no longer the case as longer cycle. Flo thinks 06/09 and premom thinks 05/09. So will go with next week Tuesday/Wednesday for now.

if my temps stay hight might give a test a go before the weekend but really don’t want to do it too early. But flo is telling me to test in 4 days so that’s exciting 😊

On a side note, if you'll are in need of a giggle..
I have been very emotional. My hormones are obviously all over the place at the moment! Took my husband to AEW on Sunday (wrestling) and I ended up crying through the thing for different reasons. I was worried someone was getting hurt. I was emotional when someone won. I know it's all scripted and just good fun. But my hormones are all over the place! Crying at the drop of a hat is an understatement to what trigger my tear glands. I even cried watching a kid enjoy the wrestling because it made my heart fuzzy 😂😂

@CatiaR keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏽🤞🏽 definitely hold off on testing as long as you can to give yourself the best chance at not being disappointed

yeah need to wait at least till the weekend minimum as I’ll be 11/12 dpo but if my temps were to drop might not test unless I miss AF but fingers crossed for both of us!

I’ve just realised that im 5DPO, it hadn’t even occurred to me the TWW with not knowing what’s happening with my cycles.
so Ovusense put O as thursday, just like that im nearly half way through TWW.
I’ve woken up with very tender nipples this morning, which I usually get before AF anyway.

how are you feeling? Any symptoms?

@Ncl31 not much to report here, occasional cramp or twinge here and there but nothing major. Trying to not pay too much attention as last month was all over the place when I generally don’t feel much and found out later than we didn’t have a chance that month.
I had a BBT dip yesterday and back up this morning so could have been implantation dip but that’s not an exact science and can happen if you’re not pregnant too so yh.

what about you?

@CatiaR I’ve had weird twinges/cramps since my last cycle but it all seems to have settled the last few days. Maybe me body has been trying to ovulate for a while. Who knows. Other than that just sensitive nipples this morning, but I often get those in the run up to AF anyway so could just be that.

@CatiaR @Ncl31 hoping both your symptoms mean positive things for you both!

I think I'm out now. Found a few specks of blood in my CM just now - and AF is due today or tomorrow. This is unusual for me in general. But I guess this is AF on its way.

Just a quick update for everyone, temp dipped below cover line this morning, and brown spotting appeared late last night and this morning. Still no AF fully which is unusual for me as I don’t usually have spotting until the end of AF, but still BFN! So assuming this is the start of AF this month just a few days late!

@Biscuitbeann oh how usual. I hope it’s just random spotting. How many DPO are you?

AF is here today, right on time!
Onto the next cycle now for me.
