BBTing our way to a BFP in August 🎉

Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

I shouldn’t have tested today at 8dpo but did and bfn as expected. Temps today the highest its been so far so definitely need to hold on till the weekend. Got some symptoms but faint and trying to not overthink. Hopefully its good news but if not I shall know in the next week max.

@Biscuitbeann hopefully AF doesn’t show!

6DPO for me today and nothing more to report other than very sensitive nipples still. I’ll be watching and waiting the next week. Hoping if AF comes its next Thursday so I can get the worst of it over before getting on a 9 hour flight.

@Ncl31 fingers crossed for you! I think we’re the last ones waiting in this TWW now 😂

@CatiaR are you waiting to test again? I’ve discussed with DH and agreed not to test until next Friday, which is the day before we fly and the day AF will be late by 1 day. I won’t have easy access to any HPT whilst on holiday. But if I develop any significant symptoms then I’ll go and buy a test.

@Ncl31 yeah I shouldn’t have tested today really and expected it to be negative which it was. Gonna stick with testing over the weekend as planned before. Unless BBT takes a big dip or something. Got a bit of sore boobs now but I did last month too when I normally don’t get it and meant nothing so not getting excited about it 😂

@CatiaR yeah my boobs but mainly my nipples are sore. I remember having this is some cycles before. To be honest I’ll be happy to see my cycles return to something that resembles normal, but obviously if I got a BFP first that would be amazing!
im trying not to pick up on every little niggle etc… but it’s so difficult not to! I’m like “oooooh that could be implantation or something” “nah it’ll be wind….” But then “I just been to the toilet so it can’t be wind” “but wind can be a positive sign”

our brains go crazy!

@Ncl31 yup. I obsessed way too much last cycle and when I looked back my tracker was rubbish and we didn’t even BD in the correct times to have a chance and i tested too early and too many times just making me upset for no reason!

this month is much calmer and I’ve learnt a lot of what the heck my body is doing.

So… this evening on my way to bed I went to pee and when I wiped I had some very clear like EWCM. Never had this before, or that I’ve noticed. 6DPO.

Unfortunately mine ended in a chemical I am devastated beyond belief. Wishing you all the best x

Sorry I've been quiet, not much going on here though, just waiting for ov day 😅 currently in the lead up, fertile window should start Sunday and ov should be Thursday approximately. Only have the 2 OPKs left so I'm thinking to do one on cd14 and cd15 so Tuesday and Wednesday and hopefully I'll catch it. If I don't catch it on the opk I'm just going to dtd as much as possible and see what happens. Trying to relax a bit more this month.

@Hotmalibu94 hiya, I may do a test tomorrow but still only 10 dpo so will take results with a grain of salt or if I can wait then on the weekend I’ll test.

@Hotmalibu94 totally understand you wanting to be more relaxed, I’m trying to take that approach too this month. For that reason I’m not going to do a HPT until next Thursday/Friday.
trying not to symptom spot too much. But the last 24 hours I’ve had some really clear cm with a stretchy consistency of EWCM. This evening while I’ve sat on the sofa I’ve felt little niggles but just telling myself it’s wind, haha!
I also feel “wet” only time will tell.
i hate the wait for O…. It’s boring! Haha sounds like you’re about to come into the exciting phase though!

@Ncl31 yeah I just think its going to be way too overwhelming otherwise. This is cycle 4 and it's just too much to be so distracted by it all the time. E.g normally I only drink during AF but Im enjoying myself some prosecco tonight. Just have to live my life the best I can whilst I wait for my BFP 💕

@Hotmalibu94 only time will tell… I’m not massively hopeful that this month with be our month but we shall see.
if it’s not I’d just be happy to have regular cycles back

@Hotmalibu94 bfn this morning but only 10 dpo so not massively worried but again if not this month we’ll try again next time but at the minute still got positive signs and BBT is nice and high so we shall see! AF due next Tuesday so still got a few days to go.

@CatiaR as you say you’re still very early to test. do you have any more symptoms?
DH said to me as I got into bed last night “woah, your nipples are very erect” they’d been like that all day. I’m not sure if they’re less sensitive today though.
BBT still higher than before O though, no other symptoms as of yet. But I’m trying my best not to focus on every little thing.

@Ncl31 nah nothing major, slightly sore boobs and feeling tired which can just be since we have been so busy in work. have been having plenty of cm but again don’t think its that unusual.

same with the BBT here, its high and been staying quite high even above coverline so unless that drops in a few days we still in the running.

EWCM has started up again so Ill be back into the TWW before I know it! Due to ov on Thursday, think I might test Tuesday Wednesday or possible Monday Tuesday, and if nothing shows up on Tuesday I'll assume it'll be a Thursday/Friday ov... 🤞
