@LMM91x well I hope she doesn't show for you and if she does hopefully it won't be too bad. ❤️ after my first mc the first af wasn't bad at all the second mc was a bit different as I had retained product that one was a bit of a bitch. Did you mc naturally?

@bringmearainbow sorry your AF came, put your feet up with some wine/chocolate.

I took a CB test last night which says 1-2 weeks pregnant, but I'm still not convinced it's not just left over hcg levels from the MC. I wanted to take one to then see again in a weeks time to see if it says anything different.

I don't actually know when AF is due! My cycles were more like 35 days prior to MC but I didn't really track them as I was very relaxed about TTC back then!😅

@bringmearainbow yes I remember you saying about the retained product just horrid. Yes it was natural over a couple of days… hideous time looking back on can’t quite believe it happened still?!

@Bubblesandballoons @SMG1992 thanks ladies. Wine and choc will def be in order this weekend

@SMG1992 it could be but you'll know in a week. Do you have any line tests? I found it easier to see any progression up or down with those. I had left over hcg for ages after both of mine 🙄 I hope that it's nice and shiny and new for you 🤞🏼

@LMM91x honestly I don't think that feeling ever goes just the thought of I can't really believe it it's truly crap ❤️

Thanks for the good luck wishes ladies, I should know either way next week and am trying to be positive without getting my hopes up.

@bringmearainbow I've been using the line tests to compare to see the hcg levels dropping post MC so still have acouple left I could use as well. How long did you have hcg hormones after?

bringmearainbow · 10/02/2023 10:57

@SMG1992 after my first I had hcg knocking about for 6 weeks and after my second it was a little different because it turned out I had retained products and I didn't pass that until mid jan so that was about 10 weeks but obviously there was a reason for that one still giving me lines. When I spoke to the doctor they said up to 6 weeks would be considered normal 🙄

SMG1992 · 10/02/2023 11:04

@bringmearainbow that is a long time! I'm so sorry you had retained product, I was literally dreading them telling me that yesterday at my scan so was a relief that everything had passed.
It's so weird that they ask you to test after 3 weeks but then have differing dates when you speak to different doctors, the one yesterday told me that it could take "a little longer"!
These MCs really do take their toll 😞

@SMG1992 I know I thought that after my first I was like why dont they just tell you it might take 4-6 weeks. after the 3 week point I was panicking because there was a still a very positive line 🙄 they really do we have to go through what feels like everything

@FfoxRedN Thank you for starting a new thread.

@bringmearainbow sorry to hear AF came for you.

@SMG1992 wishing you luck with it all.

I am worried about how I've not heard anything from when I self referred. I did so when I found out on Sunday night and thought I might have had least got an email confirming I was on the system and I'd hear back soon. The same happened last year when I was pregnant and I couldn't arrange an appointment with a midwife due to the silence on their end. The anxiety is really bad today regarding this.

Thanks for the new thread.

sorry AF hit you @bringmearainbow 😔

I’m 7dpo today, I wiped last night and had pink blood, heart sank thinking here comes AF, wiped again and nothing, and nothing today either. So IB or AF is gearing up, I was really hungry yesterday though and that’s my usual sign that af is getting ready to arrive.
I probably won’t test until af due though which is another 6 days, unless of course she comes first

@Bubblemachiene thats very insensitive of your mum, you’re definitely not too old, medically we’re considered geriatric after 35 I think, which if you ask me is bonkers!
lots of ladies don’t even start to think about children until mid 30s now anyway, it might take a bit longer, but you’re definitely not too old.
Im 32 but I had three children before I was 20, you’re certainly not the oldest here, and I personally know women that have had babies in their 40s so don’t be disheartened. As long as you’re ovulating you can get pregnant xx

@bringmearainbow I'm so sorry AF arrived, at least you and @TheBirdintheCave are in it together and have support for this next cycle too!
@Bubblemachiene I am 37 too, i echo the others, it's not too old! I can't believe your mum said that 🫣. Really insensitive, but times are very different now to probably when she had children? Xxx
